Sabian Symbols Showing the Light of Connecting With Source Expressed Through A Reward from Spirit.

This coming Full Moon is the twenty-first since the December 2020 Solstice conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn at 1 Aquarius which launched new 20 and 200 year eras. This one helps us to a more spontaneous and enjoyable expression in our time of training to utilize spiritual power. There is strength to be found in attuning to source, and gratitude is the appropriate response to the blessings from Spirit which are coming!

I’ll speak more about the bigger picture after the Sabian Symbol. For now, let’s take a closer look at this creative-expressive heartfelt and integrative Lunation which make it easy to see what needs eliminating and what group resources can be made available to others. This helps us see “the Light of Nobility,” and many will understand the need to take responsibility for the prosperity or poverty of “the realm.” As you know, “God loves gratitude,” and when we practice gratitude, we strengthen the flow of future things to be grateful for.

As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we can use the power of synthesizing multiple point of view, some of which don’t see eye to eye, and move into a vaster future using the “whole vision” we’ve glimpsed through our concentration. This is a time of expression and release, whether letting go or expressing what has been nurtured and tended during our time of Cancerian emphasis. We can now “see the Light” of a deeper connection to Source as yielding major “rewards from Spirit” for our efforts in managing our energy and expression up to now.

The Sun in Fire and the Moon in Air shows a time of the Fixed Fire (stabilizing inspiration) of Leo expressing its consistent expression of heart energy through the Fixed Air (stabilizing ideas and interrelatedness) of Aquarius. This chart begins a run of Full Moon themes of getting clear on the actional and material levels of our existence.

In this chart, 2 planets are in the first third of their signs, 4 planets are in the second third of their signs, and 4 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates a huge and balanced emphasis between social/emotional field and the individual, mental, and spiritual field, with relatively little emphasis on the actional-material field. That implies there will be an extraordinarily social-spiritual focus for two weeks!

Why Are Full Moons So Important?

At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.

That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.

Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. We are now in a time of the year when the inner planets are making oppositions to Pluto, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, and Uranus over the next 3 months. This chart features only two forming oppositions along one axis of “the Tension of Opposites.” We have the Moon conjunct Saturn, with both opposed the Sun generating awareness encompassing the area between 18-25 Leo/Aquarius, making these planets the drivers of our “awareness generator” for the coming two weeks.

Because we have Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto all at the end of their signs, every Full Moon opposition in the last decan of their signs has made special evolutionary configurations with these spiritual heavyweight planets. This year alone we’ve had Full Moons at 28 Cancer/Capricorn, 28 Leo/Aquarius, 28 Virgo/Pisces, 27 Libra/Aries, 26 Scorpio/Taurus, and 24 Sagittarius/Gemini. The run ends this month at 20 Aquarius/Leo.

All of these created configurations with Neptune and Pluto in 2022. Jupiter conjuncted Neptune from the March Equinox through the second week of May, so it too figured into the Full Moon configurations in those months, and when Saturn entered the last decan of Aquarius in early March, it too created configurations with each successive Full Moon since then, and will remain in play through this Full Moon since it configures in the “Axis of Awareness.”

Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?

The Sun is in Leo, its home sign, making it the ruler of itself, and the Moon is in Aquarius, making Saturn in its home sign of Aquarius its ruler. Mercury is in Virgo, it’s home sign, making it the ruler of itself. Venus is in Leo, ruled by the Sun. Mars is in Taurus, ruled by Venus and therefore the Sun. Jupiter is in Aries, ruled by Mars, and therefore by the Sun. Saturn rules itself.

Moving out, Uranus in Taurus is ruled by Venus and therefore the Sun, Pluto in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. As usual, Neptune is a “standalone” planet, ruling itself. That means the Sun rules itself, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus, and Saturn rules itself, the Moon, and Pluto. Mercury rules itself, and Neptune rules itself, boosting us to four “final dispositors” in the sky.

By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames

Venus is a strong force behind the scenes due to its rulership of Mars and Uranus, and its forming trine to Jupiter should open many pleasant and valuable things related to the New Moon’s trine to Jupiter. Venus will dramatically express herself in the first degree of Leo, and with the quintile to Uranus, expect unique factors in relationships to be evident. This is a creative-expressive position for Venus, favoring playful and creative relationships through opening greater views and adventures between people.

The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon

This Full Moon falls at 20 Leo and 20 Aquarius. It is said that the second third (decan) of any sign deals with the social and emotional levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the second decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Sagittarius and Gemini.

Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.

The Solar Sabian symbol for the 20th degree of Leo is “The Zuni sun worshippers.” In the original notes from the Marc Jones class on the symbols published in The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this degree is one of “(our) instinctive or traditional call upon basic life energies for sustainment,” “sense of fitness in behavior,” and “worship.”

In The Astrological Mandala, he says this degree involves “a return to the glorification of natural energies,” where we see a “return to nature” and “glorify the Sun” as an antidote to “civilized living in artificial cities.” He states the “American Pueblo Indian has been for the weary city dweller and the dried-up intellectual a symbol of this ‘return to nature,” and now has become “an exemplar of peaceful and harmonious group living.”

He continues, offering this symbol “brings us the image of a reversal of our socialized activity and opens for us the way to the deepest release of our long-denied root energies,” where we can link ourselves consciously “to the source of all life on Earth,” meaning “identification through worship – and the sanctification of the creative power.” He states this falls in the Span of Interpretation and is the fulfillment of the actional level of Release in the Act of Stabilization.

According to Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, the degree is one of our “recognition of higher and natural forces from which (we receive) our life and strength” through our “everyday ritualization of (our) loyalties” and our “preservation of older values in any evolution of new ones.” He says we are “endowed by custom with an effective assurance” centered in ourselves and others, and we have “self-fulfillment as (we are) true to (our) group tradition.

He offers the keyword FIDELITY. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is “an inner and absolute realization of the self’s illimitable resources in situation and background.”

The Lunar Sabian Symbol for the 20th degree of Aquarius is "A big white dove, a message bearer.” In the original Jones class notes from The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this is a degree of "the blessing of every effort by the ‘Holy ghost’ of revealed significance,” “exaltation of all individual efforts,” and “celebrity.”

In The Astrological Mandala he states the keynote is "the answer of spiritual agencies to thorough, sustained and victorious individual efforts.” He says this is the fulfillment that comes, along with a message from Spirit, whenever we have “courageously and with indomitable spirit” gone through some crisis. He also offers that this is a degree of finding peace after some accomplishment, where we may see a blessing pointing us to the future.

He continues that “every real spiritual victory (we take) in our development is the result of a victory over forces of inertia or destruction, and that “what the ‘message’ is depends on the particular situation, but the white dove always signifies peace; at the very heart of this peace is the certification of individual worth and victory.” He says it falls in the span of Perspective and is the culmination degree on the Actional level of Management in the Act of Capitalization.

According to Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, this degree is a symbol of our “recognition of a transcendental or superior wisdom” from which we can “receive inspiration and assurance,” based in “inner faith” where our “ever-constructive attitude of mind” can strengthen us. He offers “there are always secret signs of divine favor for a faithful heart, and they are no less real because the reason is able to dismiss them as a mere oversensitiveness to the prompting of a wholly naïve insight.”

He offers us the keyword CONVICTION. We are told that when positive, the degree is "a facility for ordering all personal desires in a cosmic framework and a gift for knowing when to act and what to do.”

These symbols imply that during the next two weeks the Light will lead us to reconnect with the sources of Life through past and present rituals. Call on Life Energies to revitalize yourself as you see the Light of being blessed by Spirit, and you will become stronger both in vitality and your connection to Source. This Light will be expressed through concrete messages from Spirit which will encourage us and bless our efforts in finding a greater ability to manage energy in social situations. Be strong, be grateful, and be blessed! This is the Light of Release expressing itself through synthesized forms of managing activity.

We’re in an Era of Overlapping Capricorn and Aquarius Cycles

As you know by now, we had numerous important long wave conjunctions in January 2020 which were set into motion in March 2020, including a 12 year cycle and a 33 year cycle! Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all made conjunctions in Capricorn in January and March 2020 which were activated by Mars in March 2020. Mars completed its run at its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius which also set long wave preliminary Aquarian structures into play which are expanding and currently taking shape.

That “Great Compression” of planets in early 2020 created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. Add the three conjunctions of Jupiter with Pluto as it transited back and forth over the January and March degree points, and we’ve had a lot of long wave Pluto energies expanded which will show effects over the next decade! The wave that began April 2020 and was given wings in December has taken clearer shape during the time Saturn occupied 7-14 Aquarius in 2021. During early 2021, Jupiter gave us an expansive view of all of Aquarius, and then passed through the Transfiguration Zone in late April and early May, again in early August when retrograde, and a final time in December, giving us three different experiences of “graduation into a new realm of Being” transforming our lives so we can see how we are related to other Light Beings in the collective field. We now get to enter a new promise of how we fit into the whole.

At the 2020 World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)

In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.
