Remember that we had several extraordinarily important long wave conjunctions in January which were set into motion in March. All the conjunction points made by Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in January and March were activated by Mars in March, and its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius set structures into play which will be needed in the 200 era to come beginning with the Great Mutation of December 2020.

That “Great Compression” of planets created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting the houses where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. An ongoing transit boosting those conjunction effects to an extreme degree can be found in Jupiter conjuncting Pluto all year, expanding Plutonic seeds at different points.

Given Jupiter’s retrograde span, for the next 5 months it will open many futures related to the Capricorn conjunctions of January and March 2020 as it moved in direct motion over those conjunctions, now is going retrograde over those points, and after it goes direct in September, will move over all of them again. We continue our run of months of no oppositions other than those made by the Moon when it’s in Cancer, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio. This makes the Moon extraordinarily important as the “nozzle” to express all the other planetary energies! If oppositions produce awareness, it would seem that each month for about 9 days when the Moon is far enough outside the occupied span we’ll be able to get a handle on things and a clear focus for the energies.

As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we now can take the sense of humor and realignment of purpose we’ve been experiencing since the Solstice Solar Eclipse New Moon, and now can get focused on a new perspective on our purpose, leaving behind all that Saturn showed us we no longer needed between September 2019 and now. We can now use the light of the realignment we began at that New Moon to face a deep, vast, and timeless Truth.

Saturn continues to be incredibly important, and now has re-entered its home sign of Capricorn. It is on the final degree, one of great power expressed in a social form. Due to its May stationary retrograde degree, we’re all still in the midst of a 10 month span of “cosmic visitations galvanizing us to action” which are “liberating us from adverse conditions.” As we have 5 planets in Earth signs including the Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn all in a narrow span, being practical as thing melt down is favored. See what works and what doesn’t, and discard the rest.

The Sun in Water and the Moon in Earth shows a time of the Cardinal Water (initiating personal experience and sensitivity) of Cancer expressing its mobilized self-interest through the Cardinal Earth (initiating practical personal power) of Capricorn. In this chart, 4 planets are in the first third of their signs, 2 planets are in the second third of their signs, and 4 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates a balance between the actional-material field and the individual, mental, and spiritual field, with diminished emphasis on the social/emotional fields. In this case, because the only planets in the second decan of their signs is the Eclipse, we can assume there is something more to be shut down in those human realms, personally, socially, and globally.

Why Are Full Moons So Important?

At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.

That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.

Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. As there are three forming oppositions in this Full Moon, it puts the evolutionary “Tension of Opposites” at work wherever we have 12-25 Cancer and Capricorn. (12-16 for the Eclipse, 17-21 for the midpoints of the Moon with Jupiter and Pluto, and 22-26 for Jupiter and Pluto.)

As I noted earlier, we’re now past all the oppositions of the inner planets and Mars to the outer planets. July actually begins our next group of oppositions from the inner planets to the outers, with the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all opposing the Capricorn planets, Neptune, and Uranus through the end of the year.

Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?

The Sun is in Cancer, making the Moon its ruler. The Moon in Capricorn has its worldly ruler Saturn in Capricorn, and its spiritual ruler Uranus in Taurus. That makes Saturn the “final dispositor” of the Sun and Moon.

Mercury in Cancer is ruled by the Moon ruled by Saturn; Venus in Gemini is ruled by Mercury and therefor Saturn; Mars in Aries rules itself; Jupiter in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn; Saturn rules itself, Uranus is ruled by Venus and therefor Saturn; Neptune, as usual, is a “standalone” planet, and Pluto in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn.

That means Saturn rules all the planets except Mars and Neptune, making it their “final dispositor.” A final dispositor is a planet in one of its “home signs,” or the signs it rules. We now have at least three final dispositors through January, when Mars enters Taurus.

By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon

This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse falls at 14 Cancer and 14 Capricorn. It is said that the second third (decan) of any sign deals with the social, emotional, and cultural levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the second decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Scorpio and Taurus.

Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.

The Solar degree symbol for the 14th degree of Cancer is "A very old man facing a vast dark space to the northeast.” In The Astrology of Personality, where Rudhyar uses the original Jones class notes on the symbols, he states this is a degree of “fearlessness; and noble, self-perpetuating strength arising from knowledge” and “courage in the facing of spiritual problems.”

In The Astrological Mandala, he goes on to say that this degree symbolizes “fulfillment in transcending and changeless wisdom,” where “an archetypal figure” faces a direction symbolizing “the direction from which spiritual-cosmic forces enter the Earth-sphere.” He speaks of the 26,000 year “circumpolar cycle” associated with the precession of the Great Ages, as well as “the phenomenon of seasonal change.”

He continues that in the dawning of human existence there was allegedly “a perpetual spring” which is associated with a traditionally very high spiritual state. He offers “The Wise Old Man faces the Changeless Reality, the true North – which for us is located in a northeast direction. He faces the great Void, that apparent Darkness which is an intense Light invisible to our senses.”

He states this is a degree of a technique. “Implied is that by consistently and for a long time meditating on the changeless and spiritual reality at the very core of all experiences one can attain the supreme and age-old wisdom. We see in the symbol a way beyond appearances and toward permanence in truth.” He says this degree is in the Span of Expansion, and is the technical degree of the individual, mental, and spiritual Scene of Decision in the Act of Stabilization.

Dr. Jones tells us this is about “the immeasurable reaches of past experience as a strengthening of the human spirit for its immediate destiny, and of the eternal rebirth” where we can discover our “present aspiration and future achievement are without the slightest limitation.” He states “here is an absoluteness of self as a completeness of expectation,” and “there are no dark moments of outlook that cannot yield inspiration or assurance.”

He offers us the keyword SANCTION.” He says when this degree is operating positively, it represents “a highly effective enlistment of deeper and hidden elements of life for some momentary end.”

So here the Light shines a vast view of our limitless potential, and our ability to enlist the powers of Soul to find timeless Truth. We can find a fearlessness and “self-perpetuating strength arising from knowledge,” and see how our past experiences brought us to forms of “eternal rebirth” where we broke through old limitations by finding a new inspiration or assurance.

The Lunar degree symbol for the 14th degree of Capricorn is "An ancient bas-relief carved in granite.” In the original Jones class notes published by Rudhyar in his masterwork The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this is a degree of “Man’s power to leave permanent records of his achievements,” “personal immortality,” “fecundation of future by past,” and “assurance.”

In his Astrological Mandala, we are told that this degree is a point of technique of the past feeding our future where we find “the will to unearth, in our culture as well as in any culture, what has permanent value, and let go of nonessentials.” He implies we may be facing a period of “questioning and challenging the validity of traditional beliefs and customary attitudes,” which will show us core principles and symbols separate from superficial developments which may have obscured those timeless truths.

He challenges us to focus on “the immortal seed foundation” of things as well as “sustained and complete work produced by …. (our) effort to achieve creative perfection.” We are told this is the procedure of gaining a “deep and thorough appreciation of sociocultural processes in their enduring forms” that requires us to find a “penetrating and courageous insight founded on a valid historical perspective.” He states this degree falls in the Span of Illusiveness, and is the technical degree on the individual, mental, and spiritual level of the Scene of Crystallization in the Act of Capitalization

Dr. Marc Jones says this is a symbol of “the immeasurable potentiality of the present moment” for all that could be, and of our ability “to capitalize on opportunities” these moments bring to focus in ourselves and our world.” He says this degree is “an absoluteness of self as it proceeds to express itself with a true conviction,” which yields an achievement based in a larger perspective.

He says the keyword is FOUNDATION. We are told when operating positively, this degree “is a gift for bringing all things into a pattern of convenience and thereupon precipitating an inevitability of desired results.”

So the Lunar focus of this Full Moon Eclipse gives form to some sort of perspective in the realm of Cardinal Earth. Here we can express our “immortal Self” with assurance, finding and using techniques for sorting out enduring truths, values, and "great principles" from old beliefs and attitudes. This Moon assists us in knowing what’s important in our past from the unimportant forms and further developments related to important factors shaping our social or cultural values.

From these symbols it seems the next two weeks (and 2+ months) will bring us all the Light of greater Truths and spiritual strength in facing what we must. This will express through our ability to leave behind all which is irrelevant to fulfilling our purpose in the Light of that permanent Truth. Because it’s a Lunar Eclipse and the Cosmic Recyclers are in motions, keep letting go of all which blocks your vision of a greater power and potential or keeps you stuck in past patterns and rules which have become obsolete or irrelevant.

At the last World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)

In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.
