The May 2021 World Teacher Total Eclipse Full Moon of 6 Sagittarius-Gemini Pt. 2

The May 2021 World Teacher Total Eclipse Full Moon of 6 Sagittarius-Gemini Pt. 1

Sabian Symbols Showing the Light of A Search for Knowledge Expressed As A New Life Skill.

This Full Moon is the sixth since the Solstice conjunction launched a new long term era. We’re headed into the future!

This is said to be the “Third High Moon” of the Northern Hemispheric Spring. The “High Moons” are the first three Full Moons with the Sun in Aries, Taurus, and Gemini each year, where life renews itself and a global wisdom is poured out to humanity at the Wesak and World Teacher festivals.

As I offered in previous articles, we had several extraordinarily important long wave conjunctions in January 2020 which were set into motion in March 2020. All the conjunction points made by Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in January and March were activated by Mars in March 2020, and its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius set long wave structures into play which are expanding and currently taking shape.

That “Great Compression” of planets in early 2020 created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. Add the three conjunctions of Jupiter with Pluto as it transited back and forth over the January and March degree points, and we’ve had a lot of long wave Pluto energies expanded which will show effects over the next decade! If you’re wondering how this Great Compression and those to come will impact us, please check out the linked articles on the bottom of Part 1 of this series published previously.

As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we now can use the trust and signs of a new life chapter we’ve found the past two weeks and see the bigger picture in our lives and social transformation process. This one gives us new light on our social and emotional responses which will helps us learn how to release old expectancies, but also how what we have anticipated up to now is showing itself in our Spiritual Brothers and Sisters who also play the game.

Saturn continues to be incredibly powerful as it occupies mid-Aquarius and sits on its stationary degree, promising us acceleration in our spiritual evolution. It is now giving structure and substance to the themes of the third 5 degrees of Aquarius, further solidifying the new Aquarian patterns of the coming era. Because it is retrograde, we will see “karmic chickens coming home to roost over the next few months.”

The wave that began last April and was given wings in December will take clearer shape as Saturn sits between 7-14 Aquarius this year. Last year we were “galvanized into action” and “liberated from adverse conditions.” This year Jupiter gave us an expansive view of all of Aquarius between January and mid-May, with a review coming in August and September as we take a third look at the last part of Aquarius before Jupiter races through Pisces in 2022.

The Sun in Air and the Moon in Fire shows a time of the Mutable Air (distributive relatedness and interactivity) of Gemini expressing its curiosity through the Mutable Fire (distributive inspiration) of Sagittarius. In this chart, 3 planets are in the first third of their signs, 2 planets are in the second third of their signs, and 5 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates not too much emphasis on emphasis on the social/emotional fields, slightly more in the actional-material field, with a heavy emphasis on the individual, mental, and spiritual field.

Why Are Full Moons So Important?

At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.

That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.

Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. We’re now finishing a period of many months of no transit to transit oppositions other than those made by the Moon, and the next run begins now as Mars will soon oppose Pluto. That means we have two evolutionary “Tension of Opposites” in this Lunation, the first involving 4-8 Gemini and Sagittarius, and the other 19-28 Cancer and Capricorn.

Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?

The Sun is in Gemini, making Mercury its ruler. The Moon is in Sagittarius, making Jupiter its worldly ruler and Neptune its spiritual ruler. Mercury’s in its home sign of Gemini, making it the ruler of more than a few planets. Jupiter is also in its home sign of Pisces, making it its own final dispositor.

So this “World Teacher Fest” features four “final dispositors” ruling all the other planets. The Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus are all ruled by Mercury; the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter are ruled by Jupiter. Saturn rules itself and Pluto, and Neptune, as usual, is a “standalone” planet, ruling itself. That means the rulerships are fairly spread out this month. A final dispositor is a planet in one of its “home signs,” or the signs it rules.

By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. You can find out more about dispositors in general, chains of dispositors, and mutual reception by going to Astrology Class – What Is A Dispositor and What Is Mutual Reception Between Two Planets?

The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon

This Full Moon falls at 6 Gemini and 6 Sagittarius. It is said that the first third (decan) of any sign deals with the actional, material, and physical levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the first decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Gemini and Sagittarius.

Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.

The Solar Sabian symbol for the 6th degree of Gemini is "Drilling for Oil.” In the original notes from the Marc Jones class on the symbols published in The Astrology of Personality,, Rudhyar ways this is a degree of “exaggerated activity in pursuit of material wealth,” and “capacity to drive oneself in view of future and speculative gains.”

In The Astrological Mandala he offers that this degree is about "the avidity for that knowledge which ensures wealth and power.” He goes on to state that “this symbol superficially considered can be referred to the insatiable drive of modern man for power and wealth,” elaborating that “drilling for oil may represent the attempt to penetrate to the deep layers of the collective Unconscious and to reawaken the powers of the archaic psyche…”

He then says Gemini is about “insatiable curiosity and avidity for knowledge,” with the twins seeking knowledge and power from the past, as well as a living current source. He closes his comments with “it deals with the emotional … and socially prized reaction of most human beings to the attainment of new forms of knowledge, i.e., ambition.” He states this degree falls in the Span of Zeal, Act of Differentiation, Scene of Discovery on the Emotional-Social level.

Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of our “indomitable efforts to discover every last resource of the world,” and of our “desire to endow our experience with every possible enhancement “ in material terms. He says this shows our “capacity for penetrating to the uttermost depths of whatever potentiality may be of immediate concern” and “opening new dimensions of being by (our) willingness to undergo every possible risk in pursuing even the most uncertain of objectives.”

He offers the keyword SPECULATION. He states that when operating positively, the degree is “achievement through an exceptional concentration or specialization of effort.”

So the Light of the next two weeks (and the compassionate Wisdom teaching for the year) involves learning to mobilize to get the knowledge we need to ensure some sort of “wealth” or “power” in the future. This is a “threshold moment” where we can drill deep (however we define that) to awaken some power deep within us, or find a new ambition to focus our intention. This gives us the Light of knowing how to find resources and get to the heart of any matter to find new dimensions of potential.

The Lunar degree symbol for the 6th degree of Sagittarius is “A game of cricket.” In the Astrology of Personality, where Rudhyar uses the original Dr. Jones' class notes on the symbols, 6 Sag is said to be a symbol of “socialization of man’s competitive instincts,” “instinctive solidarity building race consciousness,” and “capitalizing on skill.”

We are told in the Astrological Mandala that this symbolizes "the development of skill in group-situations testing collective goals,” where an interplay between people in group situations show us “the rules of the game” and how to play it.” He says this teaches us “personal skill, fairness, and cooperation” in our process of becoming more collectively and culturally aware.

He goes on to offer that this decreases the lower so we may open to the higher and broader “group rituals” we need to learn to develop greater “group consciousness and an individual sense of responsibility to the group” to embrace a greater “group solidarity.” He states this falls in the Span of Receptiveness, and is the initial degree in the social, emotional, and cultural level of the Scene of Abstraction.

According to Dr. creator of the Sabian Symbols, the degree is one of humanity’s “insatiable desire to refine and strengthen every last potentiality of (our) own personal character and skill,” with our need “to gain recognition for our success in this from each area of life.” We are told this degree symbolizes our “capacity for holding steady” through any confusing situation, and “for bringing a measure of stability to every situation in which (we) may be involved.”

He speaks of being at our best when we “are most seriously challenged” to be ourselves and play our part “in strict accordance with the rules.” He offers us the keyword SPORTSMANSHIP, and states when operating in a positive manner, this degree is "exceptional competency in crisis.”

From these symbols it seems the next two weeks (and throughout the year) we’ll see the Wisdom in the Light in going to our depths to find the knowledge and resources we’ll need, expressed in forms of solidarity with others. This is the light of a new social or emotional awareness expressed through some form of a deeper or more playful experience or connection with others or within ourselves to develop “group solidarity” building collective consciousness. The Sun illuminates our quest for a form of social or emotional knowledge. The Moon expresses and gives form to this through connecting with each other, demonstrating our strengths and skills in friendly competitions.

TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption

I’ve included this section for many years to keep you all aware of the workings of Divine Mother on our Earth in this Age in Transition. Rather than simply reprint it each month, I created this material as a separate article unto itself a while back which I’ll be updating very soon. If you want to know more about the vast spiritual field coaxing us toward a great redemption of the promise of Life itself, please take a new look at TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Spiritual Lessons of 2021. We have now entered a long period of getting over our prejudices and preconceptions, and approaching others from an angle of “the fellowship of humanity.”

*********

At the 2020 World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)

In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.

See you soon with part 3 covering aspects, planetary sequencing, and other important factors in this Total Eclipse Global Wisdom Full Moon.
