- Aspects, Evolutionary Configurations, and More -

The next two weeks offers us a lot of recalibration, with new heart strengths and visions of the future. This is a “dues paying” Full Moon, whether those we still need to pay, or we see that we’ve paid them and now things stand reconstructed as needed. This is another “fateful” Full Moon as we find harmony in being just as we complete old karma.

Remember this Full Moon fulfills the Libra New Moon energy, which means we’re in a time of seeing many truths about the new Aquarian vision set into motion this past year. This helps us bring our transfigured individuality into situations where we can inspire connectedness by demonstrating new heart strengths. We now train to deliver higher power in the near future!

Evolutionary Configurations

This month features SIX evolutionary configurations helping us navigate the opposition while taking care of business. They are, in no particular order:

1) Mercury is in a rare sextile to Venus, and both are quincunx Uranus, creating a Yod, or “Finger of God.” This is a double expansion through double sacrifice type of configuration, with the sextile showing productivity and the quincunxes squeezing the energy into a focus shown by the nozzle planet, in this case Uranus. Wherever we have mid-Taurus will probably require some sacrifices if we are to find the unique peace and security Uranus offers at 14 Taurus.

2) The Moon pentelftile Mercury and bielftile Jupiter with Mercury quadraelftile Jupiter activates 3 points of an 11 pointed “Star of Mastery through Faith.” I explain how the 11th harmonic aspects work down a ways. This indicates we’ll confront a lot of dualities and need to show faith if we are to find a way beyond the dualities. If you find yourself not knowing why something is as it is, have faith in yourself and your ability to glimpse the unified truth beyond the nonrational factors in play.

3) Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus activate 3 points of a 9 pointed “Star of Spiritual Realization,” as Mars trines Jupiter and quadranoviles Uranus as Jupiter binoviles Uranus. This brings realizations we’ve been waiting for, while also requiring some things be put on hold while they gestate. This primarily affects planets or points we have near 2-5 degrees of the Fire signs, 12-15 degrees of the Earth signs, and 22-25 degrees of the Air signs. This brings solid spiritual realizations, and this particular configuration will help us all integrate our personalities and learn how to make progress despite limiting conditions.

The fourth evolutionary configuration (as usual) involves the Grand Irrationality anchored by Uranus septile Neptune. It’s not a major factor since no inner planet it setting it into motion. Even though I gave you the link to the main article in part one of this series, in case you don’t know about the Grand Irrationality, there have been two iterations of it. The first Grand Irrationality (1993-2017) was anchored by Neptune septile Pluto, and the second Grand Irrationality (2018-2021) has been anchored by Uranus biseptile Pluto, with Neptune occasionally configuring with Uranus in a septile, joining the two evolutionary patterns.

Both of the “Grand Irrationalities” represent non-rational, “fork in the road of destiny” configurations blending the transpersonal revolutionizing of Uranus with the transpersonal “fog of mass consciousness” of Neptune with the purifying “death and rebirth” energy of Pluto. While not in aspect to Uranus or Neptune, Mercury does make a powerful biseptile to Pluto, activating those points of the “Seven Pointed Star of Destiny.”

Speaking of irrationality, our fifth special configuration this Lunation involves Venus septile Mars and Saturn, with Mars biseptile Saturn. This is a very powerful transformational configuration, and activates a different set of nonrational points than the Grand Irrationality. This one brings major choices, changes, and forks in the road for those with active points near 22-26 Libra, 13-17 Sagittarius, 5-9 Aquarius, 26-30 Pisces, 18-22 Taurus, 9-13 Cancer, and 1-5 Virgo.

Our sixth special evolutionary configuration is created by Venus cutting the opposition of the Lights into a semisquare and sesquisquare, creating three points of a “Rhombus Diamond” configuration with a “cutting, grinding, and polishing” quality. This primarily affects planets or points we have around 26-30 Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, as well as 11-15 Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius. This will create friction we can use for focused self-awareness along the axis of the opposition.

Major Aspects

Besides the various aspects I gave you related to the evolutionary configurations, forming (or partile separating) inner planet aspects include Moon binovile Saturn and decile Neptune; Mercury is widely conjunct Mars, and quadranovile Neptune; Venus is square Neptune and novile Pluto; and the Sun is trielftile Saturn, pentelftile Uranus, and biquintile Neptune. (It’s not a configuration because Saturn is square Uranus.)

Outer planet forming and partile separating aspects include Mars square Pluto; Jupiter makes aspects noted above; Saturn is semisquare Neptune; and Uranus is tredecile Pluto.

We have a broad representation of spiritual aspects in this Full Moon chart. In the series related to destiny and “fate,” we find 3 septiles and 2 biseptiles. In the 9th harmonic series related to spiritual realizations, we have 1 novile, 2 binoviles and 2 quadranoviles. In the 11th harmonic series related to spiritual realizations, we have 1 bielftile, 1 trielftile, 1 quadraelftile and 2 pentelftiles; and in the specializing aspect series, we have 1 decile, 1 tredecile, and 1 biquintile.

For those new to the craft, quintiles and biquintiles are 5th harmonic aspects, septiles and triseptiles are 7th harmonic aspects, noviles are 9th harmonic aspects, deciles (semi-quintiles) and tredeciles are 10th harmonic aspects, the elftile series are 11th harmonic aspects, the quindecile is a 15th harmonic aspect, and the vigintile is a 20th harmonic aspect. Each of these has a unique function in the phase relationship of the two planets in aspect.

The 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th harmonic aspects are specializing and bring forth partially or fully developed quintessential elements of the planets involved. The 7th harmonic aspects help us make choices to fulfill our destiny, and the novile series aspects (9th harmonic) represent entry or exit points of periods of gestation which can bring forth possible spiritual developments. The 11th harmonic aspects involve situations where there is a need to transcend and master some form of duality by making a leap of faith.

The various aspects in all these different harmonic series indicate points where the theme of the Whole Cycle becomes clear, whether through major developments or minor refinements in the process. Each aspect shows a phase relationship, specific to the special and unique circumstances of that particular Whole Cycle. It's how we can know when to work, when to play, when to create, when to imagine, when to have faith, and when to mobilize!

The Eclipse Factor

Besides the current Total Lunar Eclipse and the recent one at 20 Gemini on June 10, we’re still “under the beams” of the June 2020 Solar Eclipse at 1 Cancer and the December 2020 Solar Eclipse at 24 Sagittarius. As you know, I see all eclipses as “cosmic recyclers” removing what we no longer need in the houses where they occurred. The June 2020 Solstice Solar Eclipse marked a change of allegiance for everyone, with hard adjustments and sacrifices for all.

Taken with previous Solar Eclipses from Christmas 2019 and before, whatever ended in 2020 unblocked our ability to accept a “mantle of power” so that our Light can take shape as a new form of Truth, freedom, compassion, and obedience to Dharma. Besides the June 2020 Solstice Solar Eclipse at 1 Cancer, and the Christmas 2019 Solar Eclipse at 5 Capricorn before that, we’re also still experiencing past Solar Eclipse “cosmic recycling” wherever we have 16 Capricorn, 21 Cancer and 19 Leo, due to Eclipses on these degrees. The endings of 2018 and 2019 helped us get organized, explore what success really means to us, and find techniques to let go of prior fixed social roles.

All these Solar Eclipses, along with others, have allowed us to “shed skins” wherever we have 9, 19, and 30 Pisces, 28 Aquarius, 29 Leo, 10 Virgo, and 21 Virgo, as well as the degrees of the recent Eclipses at 1 Cancer and 24 Sagittarius. As you can see, that involves a large part of our charts! You can find out which Solar Eclipses are still showing effects by referring to Astrology in June 2021 - On The Threshold of an Annular Solar Eclipse at 20 Gemini which lists which Eclipses are done and which are still in play.

A good meditation would be to take a look back at how something related to those points in your chart ended after those Eclipses, and examine how new events, new people, and new life experiences came in those chart areas. All our losses of the past few years associated with these signs have left voids which have attracted, are attracting, or will attract life contents more appropriate to who we are now. Alternately, you may be feeling a void because someone else really isn’t there. Now it’s time to turn to what will nourish you.

Element Balance

This Full Moon features a “balanced imbalance” in element distribution. At this time, of the traditional 10 planets, there are 2 planets in Earth, 5 in Air, 1 in Water, and 2 in Fire signs. This makes Air (Relatedness and Communications) preponderant, with a balance between Earth (Practicality and Grounding) and Fire (Inspiration and Light), with the only Water (Feelings and Experiencing Life on Deep Levels) provided by murky Neptune.

Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, things are pretty chilly! Air and Earth can be likened to a mountaintop, very arid but grounded with a wide view. Fire and Water are hot springs or a lake inversion.

The current sequence at present of Deciding, Feeling, and Thinking

We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. This Lunation begins an entirely new pattern thanks to the recent Mercury retrograde! As a process of moving through events, the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience over the next two weeks involves leading with our thinking, communicating, envisioning and finding a new view of things, followed by decisions and actions, and then feeling what we’ve done and seen.

This pattern leads with their understanding, vision, or analytical perceptions, and then makes decisions and acts based in those perceptions to achieve a new understanding or vision. While it is tempting to move back into more thinking, analyzing, and envisioning after we act, instead of going back to the mind to confirm our action, we must get to our feeling-experience around what we just decided or did. When we go deep enough and understand what we are experiencing, then new information, new understanding, and/or a new vision will naturally arise that points the way to the next action.

When you are moved by an idea, vision, perception, or understanding, it will naturally lead to decisions on the basis of those ideas. This should be followed by a time of solitude and reflection where we can identify what we’re feeling and experiencing. Once we identify what we’re experiencing, we’ll naturally be moved to search for newer information, newer ideas, newer interpretations, and newer views. So let your thinking and communicating and envisioning lead you to “right action,” and feel what you must to come to a newer view.

Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend

Because Saturn continues to occupy center stage in its home sign of Aquarius, it continues to be the final dispositor of all planets transiting Capricorn and Aquarius from now through 2023. Though its influence temporarily waned during Jupiter’s occupancy of Pisces, with Jupiter still in Aquarius, Saturn is again its ruler and resumes being a dominant force through April 2022. In this chart it’s the final dispositor of all planets except Neptune, so it’s particularly heavy as a behind the scenes powerhouse.

Remember that while Saturn can feel heavy, it is also our ability to take command of our lives and destiny by using Saturn’s virtues in the right way and time. Our ability to steer our “ship of personality” into its rightful “role of destiny” has brought us to the threshold of new parts to play on the stage of Life.

We’re still in a long wave period of crystallizing more visionary roles to play in the emergent Aquarian era, and with the dance Saturn and Uranus have done this year, we’ve all had to “square ourselves with reality” as we go where we haven’t gone before. Uranus has awakened us to new roles to play, while Saturn has “lightened up” in Aquarius and prepares to bring us a “new mutation from cosmos.”

I explain how Saturn and Uranus work together to awaken us to our Higher Powers to take command of our destiny in my book Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend. Saturn helps us give form and structure to our quest for Self-realization; in Capricorn, it teaches us how to accept and use personal power within a socially responsible context, while in Aquarius it teaches us how to make a greater contribution to our civilization and come together with others in a great effort “ensouled by a great vision.” Coupled with Uranus having awakened a “new quality of Being rendering the old patterns obsolete,” we are collectively “breaking on through to the other side” into an unfolding Higher awareness.

Summing it Up

This Full Moon will help us understand why some old ways and roles had to be sacrificed in the past to prepare the opening for “the child born of the Cosmic egg” promising the emergence of new developments arising from Spirit these next two weeks. We’re now in a time of new training and practice, finishing up some old karma, finding new heart strength, and seeing a new identity based on a realistic assessment of what has been and what is.

This will be an intense, if delightfully harmonious, two weeks, given all the configurations! We have the friction of the Rhombus Diamond configuration, while also having the spiritually harmonious configurations involving the Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus! Destiny’s on the move due to the 7th harmonic aspects to Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, while we also have to strengthen our faith due to aspects involving the Moon, Mercury, Sun, Saturn, and Uranus. As you can see, there’s a lot on everyone’s plate these next two weeks!

In May 2020 we “graduated into a new realm of Being” which brought us to the “open doors of possibility” promised by Jupiter’s first transit of the “Transfiguration Zone” at the end of Aquarius in late April and early May. We experienced Jupiter’s second pass through this zone where the Great Ages meet in August, and the Leo Full Moon in the Transfiguration Zone brought many things about our ongoing transfiguration into focus. We’ve now secured the next phase of our Aquarian adventure into our higher purpose which Saturn is helping us structure this year and next.

Saturn in Aquarius again square Uranus in Taurus we’ll continue to navigate the conflict between these two signs which will last through 2022. Each transit in the first half of Scorpio will trigger both these planets and release tremendous energies into our Leo sector, with Sun, Mars, and Mercury all lined up to bring an initial friction of their squares to Saturn followed by an axis of awareness with Uranus.

As we continue to develop the potentials indicated by Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, we’ll see definite movement away from the ideas which dominated the old 200 year Earth Era and see more of the emergent 200 year Air Era launched at the December Solstice. This Aquarian Air Era already began to express via the conjunctions of the inner planets with Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius in January and February this year. Current transits through Libra and coming transits through Aquarius will give more momentum to the emerging Air era.

Where these Aquarian conjunctions occurred in our charts show us the way to our long wave metamorphosis as we transition through the beginning of the end of the Age of Pisces, entering into 33 years of increasing manifestations of the Age of Aquarius. This transitional period requires that we ask ourselves certain questions related to what we care for and care about, since we’re being called to be fearless as we let go of all that is unnecessary and irrelevant to find a transcendent security as we walk through the world but are not “of” the world.

We have been navigating the final season of humanity’s “liberating ordeal.” All of us have had opportunities to find new inner strengths and powers the past three years, as well as assistance from Devas and Angels who bring “divine help when human efforts seem to fail.” We now are in a time of receiving blessings, manifesting powers beyond normal understanding, and demonstrating how well we’re able to share with others in a spirit of nonpossessiveness.

Also remember that at this point, we’ve all reached some level on the “mountaintop” where we’ve found a “fellowship of spiritual Sisters and Brothers” we’re a part of. Demonstrate your skill, and remember that attaining the mountaintop only requires a) that we enjoy the view and accomplishment, and b) the awareness of when to begin the careful descent, since we don’t want to get caught on a mountaintop when lighting clouds are blowing in!

Having finished many old ways and now rapidly leaving behind all which doesn’t serve our momentum into our greater purpose, we now can play as we accelerate our adventure in consciousness, able to live a more purposeful life within a greater group structure. We now can embrace a new way of fulfilling Dharma, or our purpose for being alive. We are living a new identity, a new love, a new spiritual awareness, and a new spiritual expression in grounded ways, so keep your mind and heart open and keep coordinating your body, feelings, and mind to demonstrate a stable and harmonized Soul energy. That's a great part to play as we dance through life's changes!

A Meditation on Light and Shadow

Because life seems to be a never-ending experience of out-breathing elements of the past and in-breathing elements of the new, it is useful to remember that when we are moving through major changes, and something new is introduced into our lives, it means that something else must leave, or has already left, to provide space for the new to be embraced. And lesser wisdom must give way to greater wisdom, and old forms give way to newer realities. As I’ve offered before “enlightenment” is a verb more than it is a noun.

While sometimes having to say goodbye to older, lesser ways of life can be a drag, it is important to remember that even though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.

We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.

All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.

If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.

Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
