I frequently have people ask me how I developed my own psychic abilities, so I thought share it with you in this article to know how I did it and how you can do the same thing.

I’ve always had some ability, but it wasn’t nearly as accessible as it is to me now. When I was young, I always took an interest in Tarot cards and psychic readings, and always firmly believed in the presence of Spirits and “the other side.” I’ve always visualized and had a view of God as “Source energy” rather than a person, and this came naturally to me. I never quite felt like I fit in with “the norm” when it came to my family or religion. In fact, I rebelled quite a bit when it came to being a part of the religion that my family wanted me to be a part of.

As I got older, I spent less time focusing on the esoteric and more on education and getting into the workforce. I studied Business and worked for several Government Contractors, but eventually realized how dissatisfied I was with my career, and decided to change gears. In addition to Spirituality, I loved art and design as a child, so I pursued a Bachelors in Graphic Design and spent about 7 years working in Graphic Design and eventually Multimedia. No matter what career I set out to work in, I was successful, but was never quite felt fulfilled.

By this point, I had some chronic health issues I was dealing with that traditional medicine just wasn’t able to help. I began investigating alternative treatment options, including energy healing, and this is when I also began to learn more about developing psychic abilities. I had so many questions I wanted answers to and I was tired of searching and knew it was time to look to Spirit for the answers.

I found out from various courses I took and research I did very quickly that we have blocks that reside in the form of negative energy in our energy field that can cause problems in our physical body, and that by clearing them, you can allow healing to occur in the body. This was truly amazing to me, and still is to this day. But what I struggled so much with in the very beginning was finding out what the source of the problem was, how it got that way in the first place, and more importantly what to do to MAKE IT BETTER.

I used attunements to connect myself to the Akashic Records and my Spirit Guides and Higher Self and I learned how to use a pendulum, and still do at times today. It helped, but eventually I got tired of relying on something else to help me get the answers I needed. Not to mention, yes or no questions got a little tiring.

Eventually, I decided I wanted to have clear, open communication with my Spirit Guides and Higher Self. I got tired of getting what felt like unclear, confusing messages where I couldn’t tell who was telling me what. So I devised a process. I set a clear intent for my Guides and Higher Self to communicate with me in a specific way. I stated very clearly and firmly to them that I wanted them to communicate with me in ONLY that way and NO OTHER way.

I also found and cleared negative energy blocks I had to receiving guidance from my Spirit Guides and Higher Self. Besides setting the intent, this was the most important part of the process, because you can attempt to communicate with your Guides all day long, but if you have blocks in place to hearing them, messages simply WILL NOT get through to you.

Well, it worked. 

I began to get messages in the way I had requested and the more I practiced the clearer it became. Eventually, I no longer needed my process for connecting because messages came through naturally and still do to this day. And of course, I still work on improving my abilities today, and am always finding new ways to communicate with Spirit and enhance my own healing abilities, but it ALWAYS goes back to one thing…

Clearing the negative energy that was blocking me from doing what I was intended to do in the first place.

And I can’t even begin to tell you how many others I have done this for. So many people come to me knowing they should be getting messages from Spirit, just like I knew. They just don’t know why they’re not. What they don’t realize is that the messages were there all along – they just couldn’t hear them because of negative energy blocks that were in place.

And when I find and clear the blocks for them, the messages that were there all along finally start to come through for them and they begin to receive the guidance they’ve been missing all along. This is the single most important reason that I advocate clearing negative energy so strongly – because it is the one thing that returns us to our naturally intended state where we are successful at what we set out to do.

When it comes down to it, we are all psychic in one way or another – it’s just a matter of finding out the way that YOU best receive spiritual guidance and then clearing the blocks you have to receiving those messages.
