Aries

Use the week to tie up loose ends, to withdraw and conserve your energy. And even as the seeds and sparks of new beginnings are awakening in their new berth, let them simmer, let them inspire, but do not let them agitate, and do not yet leap ahead. Let the restlessness subside for now, remove yourself from the fray wherever and whenever you can. It is time to recharge your batteries for the next onslaught that will come in its own time, in its own way, as it will. Conserve your energy, even as so much is telling you to go, to do, to lead the charge. You will need that energy after the New Moon on the 1st. Mercury enters your sign this weekend, but only after taking a deep dive with Pluto over the weekend. These Mercury/Pluto days are good days for deep conversations, solving puzzles, and sussing out solutions. But then when Mercury does enter Aries all those thoughts, ideas, words and plans are going to spill out in a jumble, just looking for some fertile ground in which to grow. But all in due time. 

Taurus

What compromises are needed in order to keep the peace? What sacrifices are you willing to make? And what are those priorities that need to take precedence right now? This week we are being asked to put our priorities first. Even if that means putting aside those things that we would much rather be doing. We are all practicing restraint and exercising our ability to say No when we need to. It may have felt like certain boundaries had been transgressed in the past. Venus comes to the foreground this week trying to reset our boundaries, so that we can say No when we need to. We are shoring up the ramparts. But because Venus comes to Saturn there can also be some sorrow for what could have been, if things had been otherwise.  We are at a crossroads and there will be some shifts and turns as a result. And maybe even some losses. But we cannot dwell on what could have been, when we can see what can be right in front of us. 

Gemini

Mercury enters Aries this weekend. But before it gets there it will take a deep dive with Pluto, compelling you to want to seek greater understanding and meaning. You are looking to get the answers to questions, to solve the mysteries of life, and to explore the solutions that lay hidden beneath the surface. Then armed with this knowledge, Mercury will then enter Aries on Sunday, the first sign of the zodiac, inspiring you to take wings, to start anew, perhaps even go in a whole new direction. Or even do things in a whole new way. You will need some extra energy and incentive to do this. So until then you will want to conserve your energy as you can, and where you can. In the beginning, even though order is there in its potential, the pieces still need to be sorted out and then put together in some meaningful way. As we are told in the I Ching: In order to find one’s place in the infinity of being, one must be able both to separate and to unite. 

Cancer

We enter the dark of the Moon this week. Go with it. The Balsamic phase of the moon is when we are needing to withdraw and go within. Not so much to avoid what we have to do, or where we are being led, but in order to prepare the ground to make that all possible. We need energy to make new starts, and to pursue our goals. But first you need to release and let go of the previous cycle, to make room for those new seeds to be able to take root. You are preparing the way and conserving your energy for the new cycle that will come with the next New Moon on April 1st. Clear out the clutter from your life, let go of what was but is no longer needed. Then turn within, rest, cleanse, and meditate. By allowing room for some space and silence, you are creating the environment to receive much needed insights and resolution. Then you will be well armed and ready for that New Moon in Aries. 

Leo

The writer, Katherine Mansfield had suggested to make it a rule of life never to regret and never to look back. For her, regret was just an appalling waste of energy. She had a point. Regret does not benefit us, and keeps us from moving forward. So it is this at this time with stern Saturn at the bending of the Nodes. So if you see yourself staring mournfully at the past, take a moment to turn around, in order to see the doors that are waiting to be opened before you. As Venus comes to Saturn this week, there may be a sense of remorse and sadness. That is normal when we have to say goodbye to people, experiences or situations that were once so dear. But there is a difference between sad sweet partings and regret. Let go of the regrets, while keeping the essence of the good memories close to your heart. These will not be forgotten. Then look boldly forward to the future with a brave heart. Katherine Mansfield also wrote: I adore Life. What do all the fools matter and all the stupidity. They do matter but some how for me they cannot touch the body of Life.

Virgo

What you have been learning, unveiling, deciphering and and understanding has led to even more questions. And so you find yourself exploring the conventional answers as well as the answers only found in the hidden realms in your quest for ever more knowledge. All in order to understand and solve the problems of the world, as well as your own life. But perhaps even more importantly is the inspiration you receive from these newly discovered worlds. Mercury enters Aries this weekend, and as it does so it is sowing seeds of inspiration and hope, like so many sparks of light waiting to take root in your consciousness. Let it. This is about new beginnings, and perhaps even moving in a new direction. You are being inspired. Go with it. Like new shoots rearing their heads in the spring time, or like a little chicken hatching out of its egg, this is a time for renewal and hope for what can be, as you look more boldly to the future. You can almost smell the excitement in the air for what can unfold from this potential.

Libra

In order to move into the future we need to put to bed the ghosts and wraiths of the past. Those things that are trying to haunt you in the dim hours of the night… just ask them to leave. There is no room for those demons of the past to linger any longer. They may have served a purpose at some point in the past. But since that time you have aged, gained experience and hopefully grown wiser in the process. And what once supported you so well in the past, will no longer suffice. Now it’s time to build new foundations based on reliable structures that will support you. Things that you can depend on, and from which you will be able to grow in a way that is sustainable. That may require you to have to learn to say No, to set boundaries, and to shore up the ramparts. Even if that means having to say goodbye to someone, something or a much cherished hope that once was. You are making room for the possibilities of the future that is yet to be. 

Scorpio

There are junctures in time when cycles seem to overlap. New things are emerging out of the darkness, even as the old things are still trying to hold on. They taunt us with their promise. Especially if certain promises had not yet been fulfilled. We fear that this is our last ditch effort to bring those old hopes and dreams to fruition. But this is also a time of reckoning, when it becomes evident that some of the promises of the past are no longer relevant for who we are now, and where we need to go from here. This will perhaps become even more evident as we approach the eclipses in the Spring..  but even now there may be something that needs to be released in order to move forward. In order to be relevant. And in order to be sustainable. At these junctures when the new is emerging, and the old still lingers, we may find them conflicting. with one another. And this is when we need to choose. And it is in these times of conflict that we come to realize what needs to go in order to make room for what needs to be. 

Sagittarius

One thing that can happen when your ruling planet Jupiter is in Pisces, is that we come to realize how we are all so connected. Whether that applies to those few degrees of separation, where we find out that a coworker went to camp with your cousin all those years ago; or to the more existential sorts of connections, where we come to recognize ourselves as being part of a much larger whole; the reality of those connections begin to come to light. And with those connections we also come to realize how dependent we are on each other’s existence in ways that we had not previously fathomed or even imagined. Thanks to technology we can speak to someone on the whole other side of the globe in real time, connecting just as if they were right there by your side. The global village is becoming a reality, and with that comes a deeper understanding that we are all drinking from the same well, and all swimming in the same ocean of life. And this is all the more so now that Jupiter and Neptune are closing in for their conjunction in April. Look for coincidences and simple synchronicities that are going to be bringing this home over the weeks ahead. 

Capricorn

Many a Capricorn will be feeling like they are at a crossroad in their lives. A crossroad between the past and the future. But Capricorn does not like things to change. Even when they want them to. And even though the changes are so much better and bring the promise of renewal and hope. So they still hold on to the remnants of the past, and what they are still accustomed to, even though they may be entering a whole new paradigm with new expectations. That’s when you see this overlap, and sometimes conflict. At first you can probably make it work. What you might find over time though, is that eventually something may need to be released in order to embrace the future that is being born out of the past of what once was. Know also that this new future is emerging because you have outgrown those past things. And although they supported you for oh so long, they are no longer adequate, or sustainable for the person you are now. Let yourself flirt with this new emerging reality. Especially if it will make your life oh, so much easier than it was.  

Aquarius

There are the things that you have to do, that you ought to do, that you need to do; and then there are those things that you would probably much rather be doing instead. But what could become apparent at this juncture of your life, is that there can be greater valor and meaning when you are willing to take on a mantle of responsibility and purpose. Follow through with your promises, and be the person that other people can count on. When you see it that way, it no longer looks like a choice at all. It is what you must do in the current climate and circumstances, even if you would much rather be eating bonbons and relaxing by the fire. The fates are conspiring to bring all these circumstances together for just this moment in time. And once you take that first step forward, from here on there is no turning back again. Not unless you are prepared to become a pillar of salt. 

Pisces

With both of your ruling planets, your modern and traditional rulers, closing in for their conjunction in April, the reality of your interdependence and interconnection with others on so many levels are going to become that much more evident. Watch for strange coincidences and small synchronicities that make these a much closer reality. One thing that cannot be denied is that even if and when someone lives on the other side of the globe, seemingly in another universe, we are all swimming in this vast ocean that we call life, breathing the same air, and even sometimes singing the same songs. And no one is exempt. This exuberant expansion of Pisces can show us why indeed when a butterfly flutters its wings in one part of the globe, a hurricane can be felt in another. This inner feeling of being so intimately connected allows us to feel the pain, sorrow, and joys of the world. This is the basis for our heartfelt compassion. Jupiter/Neptune are here to make it even that much more personal, and an even closer reality.
