Message for February 2019
It’s hard to believe we’re already in February! The festive period feels like it was only yesterday, but the daffodils are already bursting up into the sunlight waiting for their opportunity to carpet the landscape vibrant hues of yellow. Despite the darkness of the winter, the light always finds ways of shining through. It’s as though the seasons have become confused and they are slowly merging and losing their definition.
There is a sense that we are currently experiencing a ‘collision’ of moments: a time where winter and spring co-exist. This is a powerful reflection of our own transformations as we are in-between where we were and where we’re heading, but we’re also in both places at the same time. Some could argue that we’re also in neither place as well, but let’s leave the mind bending for another day. This collision of moments reflects a setting free of many layers of the pain and grief that’s been lodged deep within our hearts and souls. Before we can set it free, it all has to merge, collide and rise up, an exquisitely intense experience, but cathartic at the same time.
Whilst we may intuitively sense the transitional nature of this collision, there are a great many souls lost and alone in the mêlée who need compassion, support and love. Of course, it’s not always easy offering this to others, particularly if their own particular evolution involves hate or judgement as these can often reach a fever pitch before any realisations are made or peace is found. It would be easy to turn our backs on those who hate and those who judge, but this only creates more division as the world fragments. It’s undoubtedly hard to feel compassionate for some of the behaviours we see in the world today, and it can be so difficult when we are each experiencing our own chaotic eruption of change, but the more we can open up our hearts and souls, the more hope we discover. We live in an ever increasingly isolated world, where souls are becoming disconnected and alone, and we need the glue of compassion to bring us back together again.
Deep within each of us is a darkness that so few of us are willing to touch. We may fear it will implode if we grow too close as the world, as we know it, may be shattered forever. We may fear the walls we have built over the years will collapse and we will become vulnerable to life, but the only true way to peace is through heartfelt vulnerability. Vulnerability isn’t weakness, it’s courage, it’s passion and it’s a willingness to show our cracks and imperfections.
We may live in confusing times, and this ‘collision’ of moments is both bewildering and overwhelming, but it’s a part of our story, and so whilst the snow sits on the ground with the spring daffodils bursting forth, it’s a good time to lovingly accept the amazing and confounding beauty of being alive…
For now, I wish you all kinds of wonderful.
As you continue to re-shape and re-define your sense of self, there is a sense that you are beginning to understand yourself and your motivations on a much deeper level. Whilst you’ve always had a sense as to why you do the things you do, sometimes you frustrate yourself for repeating the same old cycles. Of course, it’s human nature to act out of habit or conditioning, but it frustrates you as you have been working so hard to break free from the cycles that have shaped and defined your life for so long. It’s not that you’re unhappy, but you have reached a stage on your life journey when being true to yourself is deeply important to you as you’ve realised that it’s self-truth that paves the way to inner balance and enlightenment. You are a passionate and compassionate soul, always seeking out ways to express your exuberant energy and enthusiasm through creative adventures and innovative ideas. It’s important for you to have the freedom to express this energy in the many different areas of your life as this is your way of connecting with life.
As previously mentioned, you can find it hard to back track or do a u-turn in life as you struggle with the feeling that you may be letting others down. However, you have realised that unless you honour your own needs more, you end up out of kilter, disconnected from your fiery and passionate nature. February is often a difficult month when it comes to continuing with your goals and dreams for the year as the initial exuberance has waned and life has started to get in the way, however, you intuitively know how important it is to create change this year, so take a deep breath and let your creativity lead the way…
As the fire in your belly continues to heat up and burn more brightly, there is a sense that you are beginning to gain a clearer sense as to the tweaks and adjustments you need to make in order to establish stronger clarity when it comes to living the life you were born to live. You have spent a great deal of time bending and flexing your life to accommodate the needs, wishes and desires of others, but this has come at a cost of your own needs and wishes. Whilst you are strong enough to say ‘No!’ when needed, there is a sense that your resolve has faded slightly over the years and you have become far more accommodating than you naturally feel comfortable with. This isn’t to say that you need to start saying ‘No!’ at every opportunity, it’s simply a reminder for you to start acting more consciously and in tune with your heart and soul.
You are well-known for your somewhat impulsive nature, often acting before you think; it’s not that you’re self-focused, far from it in fact, it’s more that you can become so lost in the daily distractions of life that you forget to use your phenomenal intuition to guide you. It’s easy to do as your life is often too busy and full of things to do, people to see and places to go that you simply don’t have the time to step back and regain your perspective. The message for February is therefore clear: listen to your inner self more and try taking your time. Even just a deep breath before you make a decision can help you to keep things in perspective and ensure that you are taking your own needs into account. You matter, and it’s time to realise this now…
February looks set to be a month of inspired thought and creative vision as you continue to create more breathing space in your life. You’re coming to realise that the life you are living is, in fact, the life you are meant to be living, so instead of seeking out a different reality, you are more accepting of the path you have walked as you can see just how strong and wise the journey has made you. Yes, you’ve faced challenges and you’ve also walked along some dark alleyways and faced some dead-ends, but you have transformed into something far greater. In short, you are more than the sum of your experiences as you have allowed your journey to act as a pathway for your personal evolution. Of course, all of this wisdom hasn’t stopped you from over-thinking and over-analysing everything!
You will always be a deep thinker and philosopher as it’s a part of your DNA, and whilst this has enabled you to explore why things are the way they are, it has also sometimes seen you tied up in knots, unable to move forward until you find ‘the answer’. Yes, you know that you can’t always find the answers to the many questions you have floating around the vast chasms of your consciousness, but this doesn’t stop you trying anyway! Yet, it seems that the more you let go of chasing those answers, the more you will find a greater sense of inner peace, and it’s within this inner peace where the true wisdom resides. In fact, you are far more likely to discover ‘the answer’ when you stop looking for it. This is your time to discover a new pathway to being you, it’s time to love yourself wholeheartedly and to love the life you live…
As you continue to contemplate ‘what’s next’ in your life, there is a sense you are beginning to think more deeply about the life you’ve lived, the life you’re living and the life you’d still like to live. It seems you have become stuck in something of a rut lately, running on the hamster wheel of life, trying to keep on keeping on. There is a whiff of the mundane in many areas of your life as you seem to have lost touch with the magic and sparkle of your more creative side. Yet, the more you think about ‘what’s next’, the more your inner sparkle is twinkling and, like the daffodils turning to face the morning sun, there is a sense of passion rising up from within you as you seek sustenance from the light within. This light within you shines brightly; it’s the force within you that inspires you to face challenges innovatively. And it gives you the strength and vitality to explore your dreams.
However, it seems clear that the everyday distractions leave you feeling disconnected from your inner life and this makes it hard for you to tap into the deep well of inspiration and passion within your heart and soul. Whilst this distraction undoubtedly makes it harder to create the space you need, it’s also easy to feel that it’s unpractical to indulge in such things as you simply don’t have the time for dreams. That practical side of you can be very dismissive at times! This is your life and your inner well is a part of you. Yes, you may be busy, but you also owe it to yourself to live the best life possible and to allow your ponderings of ‘what’s next’ to grow and evolve into a brand-new dawn…
February looks set to be a month of continued letting go of a great many of those ought’s, must’s and should’s that have shaped and defined your life for so long. You have felt weighed down over recent months (and years), carrying more and more ‘stuff’, trying to be the person you felt you ought to be, and trying to be everything to everyone. You have often placed your own needs to one side in order to help and support others, and you have frequently given (well, over given) your time, energy and focus away from yourself and towards others. Whilst this is admirable, over time, you’ve realised how out of balance you’ve become, and you’ve been trying to find ways of addressing this imbalance in order to live in a more enriching way. This quest has naturally taken you towards the bigger picture of your life as you have been keen to gain some clarity as to what changes you need to make (and how).
Your bigger picture is where all of your passion and inspiration reside, it’s your vision of your life where you are living life fully and wholeheartedly. Yet, there is a part of you that struggles to look beyond the here and now as you are so focused on those ought’s and must’s, and these have captured your focus and attention. You have never been one for shirking your responsibilities and still feel that you should still be able to do everything for everyone and still follow your own dreams. Whilst this isn’t impossible, intuitively you know that you have to make some changes, and create some space, if you are to start living more in accordance to your heart and soul. This is a perfect moment to re-shape and re-define your life from the inside, out…
As you continue to contemplate what you truly want in your life, there is a sense you are beginning to open up to the idea that life isn’t about everything you do, want to do or need to do, it’s about being yourself and acknowledging all that you are. ‘All that you are’ may sound a bit vague and woolly for your liking, but it’s hard to find words that capture the essence of a feeling. After all, how can one condense and distil something into common language that is unique to every soul? ‘All that you are’ is a state of being where you are allowing your true sense of self to flow freely and giving yourself the freedom to express your uniqueness with passion and vibrancy. Knowing what you truly want in life is also important as you move through February, as unless you have a good sense as to your true priorities, it’s hard to create the expansive energy you need in order to carve out a new landscape which will allow you to explore your hopes and dreams.
Whilst you may still have a keen awareness of the gap between where you are and where you want to be, it seems you are beginning to find a sense of peace knowing that there will always be a gap, as that’s a part of being a vibrant, evolving human. There will always be a horizon to reach as you change and evolve with each passing day, but your acceptance of this is a sign that you are finding peace and harmony within and thriving despite the uncertainty the gap may sometimes bring. This will allow you to go even deeper within in order to gauge not only what you truly want from life, but how to achieve it as well…
February looks set to be a month for you to begin the process of re-calibrating your inner scales as they have grown a little inaccurate over time. You may feel slightly indignant at this suggestion, after all, your scales are the epitome of all that you represent, but don’t take this personally, it’s just an inevitable part of being human. Time creates shift and your scales need re-calibrating because you’re not the same person you were last month or last year. Whilst scales may always be scales, measurements do shift over time within your consciousness as your perception alters and the humdrum chatter of life can distort the view. Some inner re-calibration is a good thing though as it’s a perfect opportunity for you to regain some clarity and focus. When life gets busy or stressful, it’s easy for you to lose your inner poise resulting in your scales going haywire. This is why it’s sometimes much harder for you to make decisions as your scales are swinging around wildly.
People often see you as indecisive, but nothing could be further from the truth. You can see every single possible outcome of every single possible choice and it can be completely overwhelming at times. Yes, this is how you function in your everyday life, but even you have your moments when it gets a bit much. Your scales can help you to sift through this wealth of information easily, but when they’re out of kilter, it can be hard for you to think clearly. Even though your mind moves at a million miles an hour, your scales are perfectly still, poised and always ready for use, as these guide you through life. So, honour those scales and be open to some re-calibration as it’s a good opportunity to re-shape and re-define the essence of being you…
As you continue to ride the learning curves of life with courage and wisdom, there is a sense that you are beginning to expand your consciousness as you focus on the experience of being you. This may sound slightly odd, after all, you are already you, so how do you know how to differentiate between the experience that’s unique to you and everything else? Well, try not to overthink this, instead open up your heart and soul in order to feel your way. Being you can be challenging and confusing at times, but it’s also wonderful, magical and delicious as well. You are a vibrant and intuitive soul, acutely aware of the multi-layered nature of existence, always seeking out new understanding and meaning to the often bewildering things that life presents. Being you can be both confusing and amazing in a single moment.
February looks set to shift your focus towards the difference between living and being alive. On the surface, they appear to be the same, but being alive suggests a willingness to be fully conscious and awake, fully engaged and living wholeheartedly. Living is more about keeping on keeping on, turning the wheel and getting from a to b. The difference is succinct and it’s important to think about this now as you have spent a long time living your life, but you seem ready now to engage more consciously in order to live more wholeheartedly. You have a wise head on your shoulders, your intuition knows no boundaries, your depths are endless, and you thrive whilst riding on the crests of the waves in life. Yet, life often sees you erring on the side of caution, uncertain as to how to channel the magic within. It’s time to start believing in yourself and to realise that you truly are amazing…
There can be no denying that you are always busy with things to do, people to see, places to go and goals to achieve. You seem to function best on fast forward, rarely pausing for long enough to take a big deep breath. Of course, you thrive when busy as you need momentum to flourish; being static leads to disconnection and disarray in your heart and soul. Yet, you seem to be so busy all of the time, it seems important to ask yourself just how much of your ‘to do’ list is truly, hand-on-heart, necessary? You seem to be so caught up in the distraction of having so much to do that you don’t spend much time discerning between what’s necessary and the ‘stuff’ that distracts you. Whilst distractions can be good, too many of them can clutter up your life and prevent you from being the free spirit you know yourself to be.
You have spent a great deal of time trying to make sense of the different facets of your life, unravelling the knots in order to gain a deeper understanding of what makes you tick. Whilst this has enabled you to make some powerful choices on your path in life, too much focus on the details has also taken you away from your bigger picture. You really do need a sense of your bigger picture as this brings your vision to life, instilling energy into your dreams. So, it seems that establishing a deeper sense of balance needs to be your focus on February in order to bring together the different facets of your being to help you to sort the wheat from the chaff when it comes to what’s truly important and what’s not. At the same time, let go of the distractions and give your free spirit the room to dance…
There is a sense that you are beginning to see your path ahead with fresh eyes. As a result, your perspective is shifting and the things that once seemed so important now seem less so as you realise that it’s not the ‘to do’ list that will bring you what you need, instead it’s a willingness to focus on the desire to be contented, joyful and happy that will allow you to live your life in more enriching ways. Sometimes, focusing on the details prevents you from feeling your way forward in life. You’re a deeply intuitive soul, but you often park this for good old-fashioned ‘common sense’. Now, whilst common sense has its place, so does your intuition! You may be a realist at heart, but you are also a visionary and it’s about time you accepted this of yourself. You are a vibrant and courageous soul, and although you know this, it’s easy for you to dismiss it in order to focus on the business of keeping on keeping on.
It’s time to shift the focus away from your ‘to do’ list and towards living the best life possible. This isn’t about shirking your responsibilities or being irresponsible, it’s about honouring yourself and your needs much more. You have spent so long focusing on what you need to do that you have forgotten the passion within you and you’re ready now to set this free in order to explore unchartered terrain in your life. There is a sense that you have reached a crossroads, one where you are finally realising that your long-held dreams are not lost, they have just been gathering dust on the shelf deep within your heart and soul. This is an amazing opportunity for you to pull back the curtains, grab the duster and let your dreams breathe freely once again…
You have spent a great deal of time over the years exploring the meaning of life: pondering why things are the way they are and trying to make sense of yourself, your path and your purpose. There have always been many things to see, be, achieve and do, as well as even more to contemplate and explore, and there have been times when you have found yourself tangled up in loops trying to unravel the knots, but creating more in the process. Of course, this is a part of life and whilst you accept this, it frustrates you at the same time. You have always had a sense of a greater purpose in your life: a feeling that you haven’t, as yet, fully understood why you are the way you are. At the same time, you have asked yourself if you’re truly happy and if you are living the life you were born to live. So many questions, but the answers have often proved far more elusive.
On some level, you feel unable to fully embrace your life until you get a clearer sense as to the answers, but intuitively you know that the answers may never be as complete as you would like as life simply doesn’t work that way. You therefore find yourself stuck in the middle of a conundrum, knowing you can’t make sense of it all, but not feeling able to wholeheartedly grab hold of life until you have the answers. No one ever said being you was easy! Yet, this is perhaps too simplistic a perspective because, despite the confusion, you have embraced life and you’re striding boldly towards your dreams. It’s time to find a deeper sense of inner peace now, to let go of the frustration and to accept that you can still flourish and thrive even without all of the answers…
February looks set to be a month of embracing a new way of living and being as you begin to let go of some long-held beliefs about your role in life. Just about every cell of your being is generous and giving; you think nothing of sacrificing your own needs and wants for the sake of others. This has brought you great reward over the years, but there is a piece of your soul that withers slightly under the immense burden you have created for yourself. You will always give to others as that’s a part of your genetic make-up, but there’s a sense you have reached a kind of critical mass and intuitively you know that you need to make some big decisions about the ways in which you give if you are to obtain a richer sense of balance and harmony in your life.
In some ways you measure your own happiness and contentment based on how much you do for others and whilst giving so much of yourself brings you great reward, you know you deserve to focus more on your own needs now. You seem ready to cross a new threshold, one that still leaves you room for giving, but one that also allows you to take some much-needed time out to focus on your true priorities and to re-ignite the passion and creativity that’s residing deep within the core of your being. It’s also time to let go of some of those storylines you’ve created where you measure your own sense of worth against how much you give. Okay, you may feel guilty saying ‘No!’ every now and then to others, but just think how your soul feels when you say the same to him/her so often. This is your time, honour yourself and set yourself free…
