Shooting Star climbed the path to the Star Temple alone. Her sister Snowy Owl had not yet returned from her visit to the Council of Twelve. Shooting Star knew there was to be an important message at this Harvest New Moon and she wondered why Snowy Owl was not here to receive it. As that thought crossed her mind she heard voices coming from the Star Temple.

When Shooting Star entered the Sacred Space her sister was there with the Starwalkers, Arista and Dauphin. It had been many Moons since they had visited the Star Temple so Shooting Star had confirmation this New Moon cycle was an important one. As she joined the trio she waited in anticipation to hear the message.

Arista spoke first “Sister Moon has asked me to remind the two leggeds that each human has a special gift to share with the world. Creator and Great Mystery are waiting for them to remember who they really are and share that gift NOW. In the far away time the two leggeds have forgotten the Sacredness of Life and need to be reminded and understand the Oneness of All.  This New Moon is about healing into wholeness for all of the Earth Mother’s kingdoms but especially the two leggeds.”

Then Dauphin spoke “I am here as a guide for the Harvest Full Moon that will occur in fourteen Moon rises. Sister Moon will be closer to the Earth Mother than usual and will appear golden as she rises in the east. She will be travelling with Chiron, the healer. The Dolphin Tribe, which is my ancestry, will play an important part at that Full Moon. They remind the two leggeds that this Moon cycle, including the Full Moon, is about healing mind, body, and spirit and learning to breathe joyfulness into life. Dolphin is the guardian of Love For All.”

Then Sister Moon spoke from the darkness “Arista and Dauphin will be with you for this Moon cycle to guide you on the path of healing into wholeness. When you experience wholeness joy is the gift. Be open to receive that gift.”

I am always surprised at the stories. Arista is the ancient name for the Starry One we know as Spica. She is located in the Constellation of Virgo and is symbolic of having a special talent and wanting to give that gift for the greatest possible good. At this New Moon she is very close to Chiron’s North Node and symbolizes new healing directions. As our story mentioned Chiron will be prominent at the Pisces Super Full Moon of Sept 08/09.

In our stories Dauphin’s name is connected to the Constellation of Delphinus, The Dolphin. The main Star is Sualocin, a symbol for playfulness and the ability to flow with life. At this New Moon this Starry One is connected with Uranus’s North Node, breaking through to the new with joy. So even though at first the story did not make sense I can now see how it is connected to this New Moon cycle. And Dolphin is the Sacred Animal for Pisces so will be a guide at the Pisces Super Full Moon on Sept 08/09. 

The traditional ruler for this New Moon (02 degrees Virgo 19 minutes) is Mercury, our thoughts and perceptions. The logical and analytical thinking is strong here but he is at 17 degrees Virgo opposite Chiron at 16 degrees Pisces. The Rainbow Bridge of healing into wholeness is also strong with this opposition. Mercury is also sextile (ease) Mars (action) and Saturn (foundation) at 17 degrees Scorpio (transformation) and they in turn are trine Chiron in Pisces (healing into wholeness). I associate Chiron as the spiritual ruler of Virgo.

The Soul Centered ruler of Virgo is the Moon. She is working in harmony with the Asteroid  Hygeia, goddess of health and healing, at 04 degrees Cancer (spiritual destiny) and the Asteroid Ceres, our spiritual gifts at 05 degrees Scorpio (healing and transformation). So we have lots of help on our journey to wholeness.

But the Universe likes to send us a “curve ball” and it is here at this Lunation. Venus (love and harmony) is at 16 degrees Leo (the heart or the ego). She is square (feeling backed into a corner) Mars and Saturn (relationship challenges) in Scorpio (issues of control). She is also inconjunct (adjustment) Chiron in Pisces (need for healing). Mars and Venus enter their Fourth Quarter Phase on Aug 27 at 11.46am EDT. That is when relationship moves into the realignment and re-visioning phase so this is a preview of what needs to be healed and transformed so relationship can come into balance. Fortunately Venus in Leo is trine Uranus at 16 Aries and so we have an easy opportunity to experience breakthrough.  As well Vesta (also associated with Virgo) at 10 degrees Scorpio (inner transformation) is sextile (easy opportunity) Pluto at 11 degrees Capricorn (outer transformation). Great Mystery never lets us down.

This Harvest Time Moon is the last New Moon of the South Direction of the Medicine Wheel (northern hemisphere), the place of growth and expansion. Our Animal Totem guide is Brown Bear, introspection, healing, and the healer. This is the time for inner growth. He will be walking with us until Autumn Equinox on Sept 22. The Wheel is reversed for the southern hemisphere. This is the last New Moon of the North Direction for you, the place of gathering knowledge and wisdom. This is your Big Winds Time with Cougar, spiritual power, and Wolf, the teacher about change, as your guides. Sept 22/23 will be your Spring Equinox, The time of new beginnings.

The Clan Mother for this New Moon is Setting Sun Woman. She is the Guardian of the Inner Universe, personal integrity, the right use of will and living the truth. She is the keeper of tomorrow’s goals, dreams and visions. She is also the Guardian of the plant people and their healing properties. Virgo is the sign associated with healing herbs, aromatherapy, and flower essences. Call on this Clan Mother as you go on your journey into wholeness and discover the gifts you are here to share. Virgo is found on the Tarot Constellation of The Hermit, the principle of Introspection and Personal Integrity. It is about being a seeker and looking within to find your True Self. The 9^th Tarot card usually depicts a figure holding a lantern out into the dark future while looking behind at the past. Virgo is the 9^th sign and signals a time of beginning to release the past to prepare for the future. Nine is the number of completion but the Tarot Constellation of The Hermit is also about completing your personal lessons so you can step into being of spiritual Service. That is the greatest gift you can give the Earth Mother at this extraordinary time as she goes through a Huge Evolutionary Shift.

Whatever Zodiac sign the New Moon occurs in the Earth is always opposite the Sun and Moon. This Virgo New Moon, and the planet Earth in the opposite sign of Pisces, are active on the 6th Ray of Idealism and Devotion. This can be a difficult Ray because sometimes idealism and devotion can become dogma and fanaticism. Mars, aggression or inspired action, and Neptune, illusion or enlightenment are 6^th Ray planets. We can certainly see the shadow side of the 6^th Ray is very active in the world right now and has been for a long time. The 6^th Ray Archangel guides are Uriel, peace, love and harmony, and Aurora Grace, balance and compassion. It is time for humanity to break through illusion and become enlightened.

Virgo and Pisces are also 2^nd Ray signs, the Ray of Divine Love and Wisdom. This Ray asks us to be in our Compassionate Heart Centre and be guided by our own Divine Wisdom.  The Sun, ego or the heart, and Jupiter, dogma or spiritual expansion and growth are the planets of the 2^nd Ray.  At this Lunation Jupiter is in Leo (compassionate heart) and the sun is in Virgo (healing). This Moon cycle is a time for introspection and inner healing, not action. The 2^nd Ray Archangels who guide us are Jophiel, creative power and vision, and Constance Christine, illumination and enlightenment. You can call on any and all of these Archangels to support you on your journey to wholeness and they will respond.

Moon enters Virgo- Sept 21- 11.54am EDT- UN International Day of Peace- The Moon is now in her Soul Centered Home. Let us all pray for those Souls who have fulfilled their missions and returned Home to Great Mystery.

Autumn Equinox Sun enters Libra- Sept 22- 7.29pm PDT- 10.29pm EDT- In the northern hemisphere we now enter the West Direction on The Medicine Wheel, the place of adulthood and personal power. Grizzly Bear, strength, guides us until Winter Solstice on Dec 21. In the southern hemisphere this is your Spring Equinox, new inspired beginnings, with Eagle, soaring to new heights as your guide until Summer Solstice on Dec 21/22.    

Moon enters Libra- Sept 23- 8.59pm PDT- 11.59pm EDT- focus on justice and balance for all. Be the peacemaker in all your relations.
