As the editor of the Arizona Society of Astrologers newsletter, I compose an overview of each month. Today we take a look at the primary factors for the month.

This year the month of March begins with Mercury retrograde about to go stationary direct at 29 Aquarius in “the transformation zone” at the cusp of the Great Age. After a period of reviews, returns, reflections, and rehearsals wherever we have late Aquarius and the first half of Pisces in our charts, we’ll all be ready to “graduate into a new realm of Being” in March.

This month Jupiter continues its transit of the January conjunctions of Mercury, Sun, Saturn, and Pluto. Those began a year of major reorganization in our lives, with new responsibilities to accept and new group work to embrace. These Capricorn cycles activate in mid-to-late March, when Mars transits those points. Besides these cycles, Mars will also initiate even more powerful long wave cycles as it conjuncts Jupiter and then Pluto just as Saturn enters Aquarius. Mars then makes its fateful conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius at the end of the month, jump starting the Aquarian pulse of evolution which activates the future Grand Mutation of late 2020, ushering in a new 200 year Era!

Of course, it’s a VERY “crowded house” wherever we have Capricorn in our charts, since Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto have come for a relatively long term visit. Add Mars and we have major agitation most of the month! In the first half of March all the planets (except the Moon) are compressed between mid-Capricorn and early Taurus, so all the planetary rulers of all our houses except Cancer are in Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, or Taurus for most of the month until the Equinox on March 19.

March features very favorable aspects from Venus in Taurus making tredeciles and trines to the Capricorn stellium all month, grounding things and helping us achieve stability between those parts of our chart. It indicates the ruler of our Taurus and Libra sectors and planets are now in harmony with the rulers of our Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, and Aries sectors, so we should come to the end of March with extraordinary clarity and grounded understanding.

March emphasizes Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries and Taurus as all the planets occupy those signs (except the Moon for the first half of the month). Saturn is still the Master of center stage, both in Capricorn and Aquarius, and this month helps us crystallize elements of our individual, mental, and spiritual Being before making its ingress into Aquarius, giving us a front end look at the long term future. When in Aquarius it will crystallize long term visions of a greater good, so use the coming weeks to get a sense of what you’ll be dealing with in 2021 and 2022.

Overall, it’s an extraordinarily productive month, favorably linking Capricorn, Pisces, and Taurus energies in a three note “chord” of stabilized and productive harmony. If you have any planets in Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces, or Taurus you should find those parts of your life are clear and stable, or at least you’ll see how to make them clear and stable. Use this month to secure your practical, emotional, and social worlds through claiming your individual spiritual understanding, and get ready for new worlds to open in April, May, and June!
