Message From Spirit - The Power of Doing Nothing
Category: John Cali Written by John Cali

Ancient Chinese philosopher and poet Lao-tzu, author of Tao Te Ching, once said, “When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.”
Spirit
When you are at a place in your life where you do not know which way to turn, what is your usual response?
In our view, the best response is always to do nothing. We’re aware the usual response in Western society is to take action. It doesn’t matter what the action is. Just do something.
Your Western mentality dictates, when faced with challenges, you should do something, anything. That is almost always wrong.
The best way to face a challenge, any challenge, is to do nothing. That sounds like heresy to Western ears.
The compulsion to do something, anything in the face of challenges is counterproductive. It shows a lack of trust in yourself, in life, in God.
By always doing instead of just be-ing, you are betraying yourselves, your lives, your dreams, your well-being.
When you hit the rough spots in your life path, the best thing to do is nothing.
When you get into that still, quiet place your soul lives in eternally, you will touch the hand of God. Then, and only then will you be guided to take only right action. Action, being directed by your higher selves, by God, Goddess will always be right action.
To put it simply, doing nothing is the most powerful “action” you can take. Doing nothing till your higher self, your God nudges you into action is always your highest and best path.
