The Difference Between Being Needy, Being Needed & Being Of Service

nee

Dear Friends,
over the past eleven month, since this year of increasing authentic expression in the human collective has begun, there have been many astral events in the universe teaching us profound details about the creation of human relationships in the Golden Age of Aquarius. For those human beings, who are interested in a loving family, community building or deep personal love relations, this was a year of great chances to try out our spiritual concepts, in manifesting more of our true authentic self in new relations.

The upcoming year 2018 is caring the vibration of a numerology year 11, which is not only a master number, but also resonates with the number 2 – the vibration of co-operation and balance. For all of us that means, that the coming year will unfold even more fired up with creation and manifestation power, for our personal and collective awakening path.

Many people who are walking a spiritual path are aware by now, that true relationships can only be build in a climate of equality, mutual respect and true interest to understand another. But what about needing the other?

Over the past years of working with people and their personal emotions, I encountered many who understood the ancient teachings for human awakening as a form of being totally independent and free of commitment, and that this equals being a strong individual. Personally my experience is different.

While I totally agree that taking absolute responsibility for our own emotional body creates space for true encounter, and allows us to feel clear and strong as beings so we are not needy for the other and clingy in our energy, I also found that peacefully being human includes needing another. In my self-studies I further discovered a deep need to be of help and service for others. This is a need which comes directly from the source of my soul, it is one of the most profound urges I ever experienced, and I know for sure that I am not the only one who feels that way.

So my conclusion is, that while the human soul does not react well to relationships we consciously or unconsciously building in order to profit from the other, it does react very well to needing one another for the sake of being of service to our beloved ones and the community we live in.

All people have a natural desire to be needed, to have their importance to others tangibly confirmed.
Daisaku Ikeda

Because introverts are typically good listeners and, at least, have the appearance of calmness, we are attractive to emotionally needy people. Introverts, gratified that other people are initiating with them, can easily get caught in these exhausting and unsatisfying relationships.
Adam S. McHugh

We are unhappy because we think that love is something we require from someone else.
Arthur Japin

They say that people are innately afraid of those who need them, they say that people are afraid of “clingy-ness”, afraid of attachment, afraid of being needed by another. But I beg to disagree. I believe that people, when looking at someone who is needy of them, see themselves and see their own fears and they go away because they can’t handle those fears; it’s their own neediness that they’re afraid of! They’re afraid to want and to need, because they’re afraid of loss and of losing, so when they see these things in another, that’s when they run away. Nobody is actually running away from other people; everybody is really running away from themselves!
C. JoyBell C.

It wasn’t as if she’d thought it through or anything, how what a person wanted wasn’t always what they needed, and what a person needed might be the last thing they could ever want.
Shannon Celebi

What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like.
Saint Augustine

This is the true joy in life: Being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one, being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.
George Bernard Shaw

But I have seen the best of you and the worst of you, and I choose both. I want to share every single one of your sun shines and save them for later. I will tuck them into my pockets so I can give them back to you when the rain falls hard. Friend, I want to be the mirror that reminds you to love yourself. I want to be the air in your lungs that reminds you to breath. When the walls come down, when the thunder rumbles, when nobody else is home, hold my hand, and I promise I won’t let go.
Sarah Kay

Dear Ones, the Golden Age of Aquarius will appear for all beings in the collective, when we are ready to live in balance and harmony with all forces inside and outside of us, and that includes needing another as well as being independent. Take some time to feel into your personal details on this, and I am sure you will figure it out soon enough :-).
Love and Blessings!!

    1. Be Impeccable with Your Word

Speak with integrity.  Say only what you mean.  Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.  Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

Impeccable means “without sin” and a sin is something you do or believe that goes against yourself.  It means not speaking against yourself, to yourself or to others.  It means not rejecting yourself.  To be impeccable means to take responsibility for yourself, to not participate in “the blame game.”
