With the eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn some sort of balance is needing to be established between your outer responsibilities and your personal life and needs. In some ways it may even feel necessary to circle the wagons and cultivate a safe and nurturing environment that will protect you from the harrowing experiences and demands of the outer world and its expectations.

In fact it may become evident as to what is no longer necessary, or where some sort of boundaries have to be established, in order to create that much needed balance in your life. One of the things that may have become evident, is that when your personal life is nurtured and cultivated, and made safe; then you can handle even the most difficult challenges in the outer world. This has been a year about nurturing these most intimate areas of your life, which include: your home, your family, and those people and things from which you receive that essential emotional support and guidance. 

Taurus

With the eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn some sort of balance is needing to be established between the outward world view, beliefs and expectations; and your own personal point of view. Mercury enters Capricorn this weekend putting even more weight in this sign, with an emphasis on feeling like you are needing to conform or adapt in some way. What may have become evident over the past year, and even now with the current eclipses are the ways that perhaps you are being distracted or led astray from your own personal truths. You might want to ask yourself whether or not you have been setting appropriate limits with others, realizing that your mental well-being may depend on this. Through Cancer you are being asked to cultivate and nurture relationships in your more immediate environment: with close relatives and siblings; your neighbors and people that you are involved with throughout your usual daily life and encounters. The aim here is for nurturing supportive relationships and environments that bring inner serenity and a sense of truly belonging. 

Gemini

Your ruling planet Mercury enters Capricorn this week, bringing the total number of planets in this sign to 5. That is a weighty stellium that persists for the next several weeks, and a good part of the next year. With the current eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn it could feel like some sort of balance is needing to be established between the needs and expectation of others; and your own needs. In some way, your own needs may be given short shrift due to your obligations and commitments to others. What you don’t want is to have your own self-worth diminished due to the over-riding demands and expectations of others. In some way you are being asked to cultivate your own sense of self-worth and self-esteem. You may want to cultivate and nurture those things in your life that are truly valuable to you, as well as being clear with others about what you really need. If you keep having to give, without receiving; the situation will eventually become unsustainable. Sometimes all it takes is a little appreciation and a thank you to refill the pot. But sometimes it takes more. 

Cancer

These eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn have been so critical for Cancer. It could have felt over the past year that in some way you have been losing yourself by putting so much emphasis on others. One thing that may have become apparent is that your true happiness and satisfaction is not dependent on, or to be found outside of yourself. It is to be found within your own warm heart. With the eclipses in Cancer/Capricorn this has been a year of personal development and growth. It is also about finding yourself in the scheme of things; and clearly setting boundaries with others if their demands and expectations have proven to be unreasonable. It would not be uncommon to find that people that you had assumed would always be there are no longer available for whatever reason. You are being asked to nurture and care for yourself. This will become all the more obvious if you find the current eclipses draining and exhausting. It’s just a reminder to place the focus on this very necessary self-care. 

Leo

For Leo, the eclipses in Cancer and Capricorn are about needing some sort of balance between your daily health, habits and routines; and your inner spiritual well-being. Health crises, work demands, and habits that are so difficult to overcome might have been feeling as if they are no longer sustainable. Something needs to be fixed, repaired, redone. And it may be necessary at times to say No in order to be able to cultivate the very necessary peace and serenity you need in order to nourish your own psychological and emotional well-being. What does it mean for you to connect with spirit and feed your soul? In order to do so, you’re going to need a little extra down time alone. Whether that means focusing on a creative project; listening to music; meditating, reflecting or getting lost in your imagination. In some way you are being asked to make this much needed connection to your heart center. Establishing that connection will allow you to deal with even the most onerous of demands and expectations. Realize that those things that are falling away, are no longer compatible with your true spiritual aspirations. 

Virgo

Your ruling planet, Mercury, is entering Capricorn, bringing the number of planets in this sign up to 5, and putting even greater emphasis in this department of your Solar or Natal whole sign chart. With the eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn some sort of balance is needing to be established between your most altruistic ideals and your need for personal recognition and attention. Sometimes when we work for something that we consider to be a higher cause, we realize we can accomplish so much more when we join forces with others who share similar ideals, than you possibly can on your own. In which case this may mean having to take a back seat, or stepping out of the spotlight for a bit. It’s less about reputation, and what you have personally achieved; so much about thinking about what is for the greater good of the larger community as a whole. In some way you are therefore being asked to cultivate healthier alliances, groups and networks that will support your needs in a healthier and more sustainable fashion. 

Libra

With the eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn some sort of balance is needing to be established between demands and commitments in your personal life and nurturing your career or public role. With so many planets in Capricorn the weight and burden has been in your personal life: family matters; other obligations and others roles that you may have taken on. But if there have been too many demands or expectations, you are going to want to balance the books. Some things that may have been indicated over the past year may have been: some sort of loss in your usual support systems, where those that you assumed might always be there are no longer available; or extraordinary demands being placed on you at the expense of other priorities in your more public life. This may be a mixed blessing; for you may also have been cognizant of those things and conditions that were holding you back and keeping you from fostering your career, reputation, or footprint in the outer world. Think about the ways that you were needing to relinquish control in order to create a healthy balance between your personal life and nurturing your outer role and reputation in the community. 

Scorpio

With the eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn some sort of balance is needing to be established between your personal beliefs and perspective; and how that fits in with the larger societal world view.  What have you been wanting to explore? What more do you want to learn? With so many planets in Capricorn, the weight and burden has been focused in your immediate environment: your closest relatives, siblings, neighbors, neighborhood, and environs; as well as those things that preoccupy your mind on a daily basis: your routines and mental habits. A shift in perspective could cause you to want to reevaluate your own relationship to these; especially if there is anything that is taking too much of your energy away from your need to grow and expand. In some way you are needing to navigate and discover those people and things in the outer world that will help you to do so. There is an awareness here that there is a whole world out there that is just waiting to be discovered, explored and learned. But first you are going to need to create the space in order for you to be able to do so. 

Sagittarius

Generosity, confidence, and the belief that tomorrow is another day is what keeps you motivated and moving in the right direction. This will only increase once Mars enters your sign next week. But in the mean time, with the eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn, some sort of balance is needing to be established between your own personal needs, and the needs and desires of others. With Mercury here as you will find yourself wanting to discuss, talk about, and debate topics that you’ve been mulling over for weeks. You have something important to say and you are going to say it. This will be especially so as innovative and creative ideas keep cropping up; and you have so many plans to accomplish. But what is dominating the landscape these days with the current eclipses is the need to establish some sort of balance and harmony between yourself and the needs and expectations of others. In some way you have been asked to cultivate and nurture those most important relationships in your life. for you are going to be needing these important support system in the foreseeable future. And they will be key in helping you to juggle your priorities and maintain your health and well-being. 

Aquarius

These eclipses could prove to be draining and overwhelming for many. Just when you think you’ve got one problem solved, then another one seems to pop up to replace it. With the emphasis in the sign of Capricorn with these eclipses there is also an emphasis on endings: the end of a way of life; the end of a phase of life; or the feeling that in some way you have outgrown the life that was. Pisces

With the eclipses falling in Cancer and Capricorn you are being asked to establish some sort of balance between your own sense of personal individuality and wanting to be part of the larger group. With so many planets piled into Capricorn it could feel at times like so many demands are being placed on you to conform to the needs of the group; perhaps at the expense of your own creative aspirations. This can at times be draining. Especially if you are feeling as if your identity is getting lost in some sort of collective; or feeling like a cog in a machine. Are you singing your own song? Are are you compelled to quiet your voice in order to sing with the choir? In some way you are being asked to nurture and cultivate those relationships, experiences and activities that allow you to find your voice, your joy and your happiness.
