The second Mars/Saturn square and a Full Moon in Aries are coming.
We’re on the verge of entering another very intense phase of this year’s astrology. October 2020 is going to be a bit of a wildcard month, courtesy of Mercury stationing Retrograde in Scorpio and Uranus featuring prominently in a number of astrological events.
The upcoming week is going to be a preview of what lies ahead.
Tomorrow, Sunday September 27, Mercury, already in its pre-Retrograde shadow, enters the nocturnal, downreaching realm of Scorpio. Take note of what comes up between now and late October, because you’ll likely end up revisiting it. Or you might end up having to unpack the deeper and deeper levels to it. Persistent, Fixed Scorpio is known for leaving no stone unturned, and Mars, its ruler, is currently involved in a thorough process of excavation of the house where Aries is found in your horoscope. This upcoming Mercury Retrograde is going to be quite the journey.
On Monday, September 28, a graceful trine between Venus in Leo and Retrograde Mars in Aries will unlock the grace that is available to us at this time, at the intersection of past and present, passion and pleasure.
Tuesday, September 29, is going to be a significant date: not only Saturn stations direct in Capricorn (I wrote about it on the Zodiac Poetry blog), but the gnarly square between Mars and Saturn that peaked in late August will make a comeback. Once again, we’ll probably be dealing with delays and setbacks, so try to focus on what you can impact.
On Wednesday, September 30, the Moon in Pisces will merge with the mysticism of Neptune: dedicate this day to practices and activities that soothe your Soul.
Especially because the day after, Tuesday October 1st, we’re having a raw, vehement Full Moon in Aries — in conjunction with Chiron, no less. The bandaid is likely to get ripped off, so be extra gentle and careful with the tender, sore parts of your being.
On Saturday , October 3, while the Moon conjoins Mars in Aries, Venus will leave shimmering Leo for Virgo, the sign of her fall, inviting us to focus on Love (and self-Love, too!) as a practice. A sacred practice. One that requires consistency as much as dedication.
The card I have pulled for the upcoming week is the Nine of Swords, reversed.
I know that this card, upside down, can also signal inner turmoil, and I know that I started off saying that we're heading into a very intense month, but my hunch right now is that we are already working through recovery — whether we realize it or not. A situation that was once terrifying is releasing its grip on us. Entertain that possibility. That you are safer now and that you aren’t alone and that healing and emotional freedom are within your reach.
