Weekly Musings, Episode Five

It’s a wrap for this season.
I am referring to the Eclipse season, of course. Are you feeling the wave of Cardinal, Earthy energy deep in your bones? It’s the Moon in Capricorn on her way to fullness: I wrote about it on the blog, a few hours ago. The last of three Eclipses in a row will happen tomorrow, July 05, early in the morning here in Europe, but depending on your time zone you might get to experience it Saturday night.
To sum it up: this Eclipse is about holding space for the nuances in situations that seem clear-cut, solid and unquestionable. After all, Saturn, ruler of the Full Moon, is currently Retrograde, which supports the act of reassessing our priorities and understanding the ways in which we, too, might cast a shadow while reaching for the light.
On Monday, July 6, the Moon enters Aquarius, facilitating the necessary detachment and intellectual clarity to process the feelings and emotions the Eclipse has elicited. Luna forms an auspicious sextile to Mars in Aries later in the evening, stirring the desire to harness the Martian raw power through emotional emancipation.
On Tuesday, July 7, the Moon in Aquarius blends with the energy of Venus, now direct, in Gemini, forming a beautiful, affirming trine. I see you, the Goddess of Love whispers to freedom-loving Aquarius Moon. Through this gentle, mutual acknowledgment, reconciling humanitarian spirit and social networking becomes easier than ever.
On Wednesday, July 8, as the Moon enters Pisces and Venus in Gemini forms a sextile to Chiron, Retrograde Mercury in Cancer gets caught up in a square to Mars in Aries. As the Pisces Moon collects streams from a myriad of sources, swelling with pain, longing and ecstasy, our visceral desire to emote collides with the raw, unfiltered temerity of the Cosmic Warrior. Either a recipe for disaster or a miraculous doorway to self-discovery, liberation and healing. What is left when you remove vengefulness and unprocessed hostility from the equation, or at least strive to be mindful of them?
On Thursday, July 9, the Pisces Moon slides into the Neptunian orbit, towards her Last Quarter. Personally, I love it when Luna blends with the God of the Sea. For me, it’s all visuals and vivid imagery and inspiration and longings that take me to beautiful, if aching places. Moon/Neptune is basically an altered state of consciousness, if you will.
Then, on Friday 10, the silver satellite proceeds to sextile Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. Never underestimate the power of inspiration, especially if coupled with determination, thoroughness and expansiveness. Allow these powerful planetary archetypes to work their radical magick in your psyche and facilitate the release of pent-up emotions.
Next Saturday, the Moon enters Aries, inciting us to be proactive and assertive in our daily rituals. This is when you’ll receive the next instalment of this newsletter.
My Wild Unknown Deck says it’s going to be a Mother of Swords kind of week.
In the wake of the latest Eclipse, it’s understandable that many of us might feel disillusioned, shaken to the core. This astute, all-seeing archetype reminds us that there is a time to feel, and a time to muster mental sharpness. Don’t get me wrong — I am all for feeling. I have Cancer rising and Moon in aspect to Neptune, after all! But the Mother of Swords wants us to know that, should we sink too deep into our emotional swamps, we still can depend on the common sense of the detached observer within.
That’s all for this week.
Love,
Cristina
