SEPTEMBER 2019

RUNE OF THE MONTH: Wyrd “completion” “fate”, the blank rune, the Nordic equivalent of the concept of Yin and Yang. Both the end and the beginning, this rune marks a chance to completely reinvent ourselves and take a whole new direction. Being thrown into the unknown is the ultimate challenge on our path to enlightenment. Do we try desperately to cling or return to the known? Do we accept the void not knowing what, if anything, will come of it? Self change is at hand, pushing us in the direction of our highest destiny. Let us be as fluid and transparent as water.

Saturn turns direct on September 18 at 13º55’ Capricorn. Its shadow period lasts until December 24. The image associated with this degree is: “An ancient bas-relief carved in granite remains a witness to a long-forgotten culture”. During the four and a half past months, circumstances have forced us to reassess the structures in our lives, become clear on our life mission, place significant boundaries, let go of toxic relationships and honor our personal authority. Focusing on what matters helped us find deeper inner roots. The result now is that we are more grounded in our spiritual lineage, centered and powerful.

Neptune remains retrograde this whole month until November 27. Its shadow period will last until March 17, 2020. The images representing the degrees covered in September (17º34’-16º46’ Pisces) are: “In a huge tent a famous revivalist conducts his meeting with a spectacular performance” and “An Easter promenade”. The more the veil between dimensions thins and the more connected we are to our own intuition and inner needs, the more we awaken from the dream that tends to lull humanity to sleep. A powerful month to remember and assert our spiritual truth. We could feel literally reborn from the societal fog.

Pluto remains retrograde this whole month until October 3. Its shadow period continues until January 24, 2020. The degree traveled in September (20º52’- 20º38’ Capricorn) is represented by the following image: “A relay race”. We can only truly stand in our power if we also empower others. Collaboration towards a positive common goal is what makes us all strong. Intimate relationships also confront us with our dark shadow. In projects requiring that we each do our part for the whole, we cannot escape those embarrassing darker aspects of ourselves which we are required to face with courage and dignity.

This month’s intentional meditation starts on Friday 9/13. Take out as many blank sheets of paper as you will have intentions and placed them near a window, on a balcony or in a garden so that they will bask in the light of the Full Moon in Pisces (Harvest Moon) at exactly 9:33 PM. Once that moment had passed, gather your Full Moon charged blank sheets and place them in a folder.

On Saturday 9/28 on the New Moon in Libra, take out your blank full moon charged papers and write on each a concise, positive intention. Place them on a balcony, in a garden or near a window so that they are out by exactly 11:26 AM. Once that moment has passed, staple them together and put them away in a folder expecting the manifestation of all your dreams…

A day of unexpected news, interesting meetings and strange turn of events. All are for the better, freeing us to explore new venues. A person or situation from the past could return, allowing us to see our own progress. It is important that we remain open, present to the present and flexible. A good day to consolidate a relationship and be very clear on its strengths and weaknesses. Excellent also for financial stability.

Monday 9/2: Sun Conjunct Mars (3:43 AM), Venus Square Jupiter (9:26 AM)

A very good day for setting goals, buying and trading, writing important e-mails and making professional calls. We should however be careful of misplaced judgement. Trusting another too readily, or enthusiastically following a person whose promises are too extravagant to be real, is ill-advised.

Tuesday 9/3: Mercury Conjunct Mars (8:40 AM), Sun Conjunct Mercury (6:40 PM)

A day of direct communication. We call a spade a spade and are very dynamic and courageous in the expression of our opinions. Our social life is positive and stimulating. We could be drawn to a first time experience that is both fun and rewarding. A very good day to make plans for our future, write an important letter, make a significant phone call, trade, buy and sell.

Wednesday 9/4: Venus Opposition Neptune (4:27 AM) For no obvious reason, a love relationship could strangely dissolve. A lover could appear very different from who she/he really is. Deceit and lies could blur our social life. Our finances could suffer from the misrepresentations of a shady character. Not a day to trust a get- rich-quick-scheme, as we could end up losing everything we have to a shameless scam. People tend to be elusive and situations, confusing.  

Thursday 9/5: Mercury Trine Saturn (5:37 AM)

We are mentally focused, disciplined and serious today. Great for clearing our desk of any backlogged work and having mature conversations with people who can help us further our ambitions. We may lack inspiration but make up for it with hard work.

Friday 9/6: Mercury Square Jupiter (0:11 AM), Sun Trine Saturn (2:56 PM), Venus Trine Pluto (8:44 PM)

Not advisable to spend more money than we have. Our judgement in business matters could be overly enthusiastic. Today, blind trust is absolutely ill advised.  We should remain as self-sufficient as possible, disciplined and responsible. Hard work grounded in reality pays off. A starting relationship or an existing romance could have a depth and intensity rarely paralleled. To be successful, cooperation with others should equally benefit all involved.

Saturday 9/7: Mercury Opposition Neptune (0:19 AM)

We could feel rather woolly headed. Information may be confusing. People could prove deceitful. A situation could be misrepresented. Spiritual imagination could mar our understanding. Good for day dreaming, watching an inspiring movie, reading a fantasy book and in general,  taking it easy.

Sunday 9/8: Sun Square Jupiter (8:27 AMM), Mercury Trine Pluto (8:07 PM), Mars Trine Saturn (9:13 PM)

A day to question our values and thrive on humility and gratitude. Over optimism could make us spend more money than we should, sway from good resolutions and break our discipline. Our insights into what is happening in the world and our ability to X-ray situations and people however, helps us make a strong impact on our environment. With courage, determination and hard work, we can be particularly efficient today, turning our visions into concrete realities.

Tuesday 9/10: Sun Opposition Neptune (0:24 AM)

Important to use discernment today. We could be disappointed by someone we counted on. An unrealistic proposition could cause confusion. A vague feeling of discontent could plague us even though conditions around us seem ideal. Excessive sensitivity to another’s plight could pull us down. Best to rest, watch a good movie, read an inspiring book and remain peacefully centered on ourselves in silence and aloneness.  

Thursday 9/12: Mars Square Jupiter (2:06 AM)

We could spend more than we have or want. An impulsive purchase could be more expensive than it is worth. We could come across as overbearing and arrogant. Gambling is ill advised. We should keep our valuables safe from theft. Our vital energy is best channeled into growth promoting endeavors.  

Friday 9/13: Mercury Conjunct Venus (8:12 AM), Sun Trine Pluto (12:38 PM), Harvest Full Moon (9:33 PM)

Social contacts are pleasant and interesting. We are able to express with love and respect opinions that at other times might not be received so well. The more serenity we have, the deeper our impact. Our leadership abilities shine. We stand in our truth with power and poise. Others listen to us, aware that what we are saying comes from the depths of our experience. An excellent day to make a lasting impression.

Saturday 9/21: Jupiter Square Neptune (9:47 AM)

We may feel in a bit of a fog today. Our head could be in the clouds and our feet not very firmly anchored on earth. False prophets, deceitful characters, delusive psychic advice, if followed, could lead to our own unraveling. The dissolution of many things around us leaves us feeling a vague uneasiness today. Best to make no drastic decision today, to hang on to our faith, stay in integrity and care for those who deserve our compassion.

Sunday 9/22: Mercury Square Saturn (9:19 AM)

A bit of a depressing day. Obligations, administrative papers, responsibilities could weigh more heavily than usual on our shoulders. Long meetings are tedious and boring. Pessimism could exhaust our energies. Best to remain in silence and complete the tasks at hand with as much seriousness as possible.

Monday 9/23: Sun enters Libra (0:51 AM till 10/23)

During the next month, we are more sensitive to justice, beauty and balance. Artists are favored. Wonderful for a makeover and renewing our wardrobe. We seek cooperation and are drawn to creating harmonious relationships with others.

Tuesday 9/24: Mercury Sextile Jupiter (2:01 PM)

We could feel particularly self-confident, optimistic and trusting. Our enthusiasm attracts many beneficial opportunities. We should just beware to not bite more than we can chew and be careful of people too good to be true. Even if well meaning, they may promise us more than they realistically can deliver, leaving us disappointed. A great day to start a long-distance trip or to further our education. Our conversations take a more philosophical tone. We are very open to other cultures and religions.  

Wednesday 9/25: Venus Square Saturn (12:19 PM)

We could feel lonelier than usual. It may be more difficult to enlist the support of others. A relationship that has been dysfunctional for a while could reach a breaking point, forcing us to look at it realistically. We may lack the money we need to pay our bills or have to work harder to make it.   

Thursday 9/26: Mercury Square Pluto (4:49 PM)

A day best used keeping a low profile. Forcefulness tends to backfire. Outspokenness alienates others. Communications are at best frustrating, at worst, destructive. Ultimatums lead to dead end streets. Avoiding manipulative people and situations is essential today.

Saturday 9/28: Venus Sextile Jupiter (4:40 PM)

Social gatherings could be somewhat formal and boring. Potential disagreements are deflected with graciousness, patience, elegance and tolerance. Serenity attracts gifts, favors and positive opportunities. 

Monday 9/30: Venus Square Pluto (9:14 PM)

Forcing an issue, demanding to be heard, issuing ultimatums will only backfire. Today, we could feel manipulated and that the people we are interacting with are particularly uncooperative, yet for the sake of peace and to obtain the best results, we need to adapt to others, remain graceful and work through stumbling blocks with poise and serenity.
