Here is a size comparison of Comet 67P and the City of Los Angeles. The Philae Lander that recently successfully landed on this comet some 310 million miles from Earth has collected much valuable data about the comet in hopes of discovering more about the origins of our solar system (and universe).
Having bounced off the surface due to it's harpoons not firing into the comet's surface, it bounced 1km back into space due to the comet's very low gravity and then landed in the shadow of a cliff thereby limiting it's daily sunlight exposure during it's 12-hour day. The batteries just ran out and it is sitting idle now, but not before sending back all of the data it had collected from the comet's surface.
Congratulations to the European Space Agency and all the scientists and teams involved!
