My dear friends, we love you so very much,
You've all heard the term "analysis paralysis", which signifies a condition in which overanalyzing a problem leads to inaction.
Today we want to talk about other types of "paralyses"—conditions that keep you stuck, stalled, or out of the present moment, where you can always take steps toward what you want to create.
Over the centuries, we've seen Problem Paralysis, Perfection Paralysis, and Purpose Paralysis prevent so many well-meaning and beautiful souls from having their dreams. Each of these arises from the human tendency to focus on action before energy.
When you lead with energy, you tune into the desired outcome until the guidance for action becomes so enticing and attractive to you that it would feel difficult not to act. When you lead with action, you may or may not be aware of the most effective steps, and you almost always begin to turn your dreams and goals into to-do lists that can feel burdensome—even to the most enthusiastic among you. This focus on forcing an outcome often leads to some form of paralysis.
Problem paralysis occurs when you're focused too much on the challenge or problem that you're trying to overcome. You don't know how you'll ever afford a vacation. You don't know how to make more time for yourself without depriving others of their time with you. You want to lose weight, but the diet foods you're familiar with don't tantalize your taste buds.
Problem paralysis is a refusal to act because you're so focused on the problem that all you see are problematic possibilities and probable pitfalls! If, instead, you were attuned to the vibration of the solution—imagining yourself on vacation, focusing on what it would be like to feel rejuvenated, or visualizing getting fit in a fun way—then your action steps would feel filled with love.
Perfection paralysis happens when you don't take even a small step because your circumstances, finances, or emotional state aren't where you want them to be. You don't begin a project you truly care about because you have too much going on, you don't feel fully competent, or your finances/health/etc. aren't perfect.
Waiting for perfection could delay you forever. If, instead, you dream of how you'll feel when your wish comes true, the sheer desire will pull you past the perfectionist within and inspire you to start with the steps you can take now.
Purpose paralysis is when you don't take action because you feel there's no grand reason to do or have what you want. Maybe you want to learn a hobby or take a drive to get a cup of coffee. Maybe you want to spend a few hours each week reading. So many of you have been conditioned to believe that if there's no greater purpose behind something, then it's not worth your time. You feel guilty resting. You dismiss your desire to enjoy a hobby and prioritize everything else.
It's easy—and so human—to put off what you love because you can't justify it. But from our perspective, your joy alone is purpose. The energy of love and appreciation you emit as you do the things that give you pleasure is purpose. The world needs your love, and if two hours spent reading a good book feels like love, that is purpose enough.
Whenever you find yourself in problem, perfection, or purpose paralysis, go back to the energy. Imagine how wonderful it would feel to have what you wish for. Imagine the challenges resolved, the miracles achieved, and the steps taken. Imagine the deep satisfaction of having co-created something beautiful with the universe—something you once had no idea how to achieve.
As you attune to the energy of your desire, the good feelings of having it will carry you past paralysis and into inspired action.
A solution focus will move you past the problem.
A focus on progress will move you past perfection.
And a focus on the 5D purpose of love will move you past the 3D need for tangible output.
Dear ones, don't let these very human challenges stop you from attuning to and allowing your dreams. When you attune to the outcome, you'll feel inspired when the guidance comes. You'll feel a full-body, full-spirit "yes" when the right steps pop into your mind. And as you feel into the future you want, you'll be easily motivated—past problems, perfection, and 3D purpose—enjoying a journey that is all about love, with the things you want being only a beautiful byproduct of your loving path.
God Bless You! We love you so very much.

Message from Ann
Hi Everyone,
I love the angel message this week. As they described the three different types of paralysis we experience—problem, perfection, and purpose—I paused to consider which have applied to me in the past.
Right now, I'd say there's not much that stops me from doing what I desire, but in the past, I definitely suffered from perfection paralysis. I had to dot all my i's and cross all my t's and learn everything about a topic before I was willing to dive in and begin. That need for perfection delayed my joy—until I wanted something so badly, I was willing to try without any guarantee of success.
Definition of Perfection Paralysis
In my late twenties, I came across an aromatherapy certification course that called to my heart like nothing had in ages. I loved essential oils, had witnessed their value firsthand, and the idea of knowing which to use and when really spoke to me. I was a complete novice, worked full-time, and had no clue how I'd manage the six-month commitment or the 30+ treatments per month we had to do for homework. But for once, the desire overrode my perfection paralysis, and I dove in.
As I wrote in my first book:
With commitment comes the strength equal to the task.
I quietly shared with a few close friends, and they volunteered to be my guinea pigs. They told friends. I met new people. I saw great results. I got to play with plant oils that lifted and enlivened me while helping others with a variety of conditions. Six months later, I had a certification I never used in a formal way—but that wasn't the point. Those six months have continued to uplift and influence my life for decades, and I would have missed all that joy had I waited until I was "perfectly" ready.
Overcoming Paralysis in Other Areas
Same story when I created my online programs. I'd been intending for over a decade that technology would make this possible, so when I kept running into filmers at an event—and they finally asked me to create a show with them—there was no hesitation. I said yes.
I had no camera experience, no clue how I'd pay for flights, no wardrobe (as is obvious to viewers!), and no experience creating online content. Livestreaming was just becoming a thing, and I was totally clueless. But I dove in.
After nearly 100 hours of learning how to look "natural" on camera, that got handled. After lots of late nights repeating, "I can do this," as deadlines loomed, the material came through. I had the work to afford the flights and hotel. And it happened.
Once again, if I'd waited for perfect circumstances, nothing would have come of it.
Stretching Beyond Comfort Zones
And now I'm at it again—stretching beyond my comfort zone but totally in alignment with my creative joy! When I received an email about an online design course taught by one of my favorite creators, I signed up before I had a chance to think. I have no training in design—I wing it in my Etsy shop. I have no earthly purpose for doing this. I don't plan on quitting my spiritual work. I don't technically have time unless something gives. But it called to my heart, and that was purpose enough.
Luckily, we're not graded, and we have eternity to finish the 8-part series! I'm already way behind the pack, and it doesn't bother me one bit. I'm learning something that makes my heart sing. I get to play with colors, textures, spacing, and all things pretty. I'm even learning a little art history—which, shockingly, I find fascinating.
Whether or not AI could do it "better," I'm creating love—and that's something only we humans can do.
To Beat Perfection and Purpose Paralysis, I've Had to:
- Make peace with "not keeping up."
- Be OK with not being able to explain my "why" beyond "I felt like it."
- Get comfortable with cluelessness—and realize it's part of expansion.
- Give up trying to impress or prove myself.
- Embrace the fact that while I may output projects, the heart of every journey is all about the love.
What I’ve Seen in Others
Over the years, I've worked with so many people who deeply wanted something but were stuck in one of these paralyses. Every time, I've watched the angels gently guide them back to their hearts—where joy overrides all the reasons not to follow it.
- When people come in problem paralysis, focused on why they'll never achieve what they want and why it's pointless to even dream, the angels gently remind them:
Don't tell the Divine what it can't do.
- When people come in perfection paralysis, unwilling to take guided steps until they feel fully competent, funded, or ready, the angels remind them that the Divine has no such limitations. They guide people to feel into the future until they can believe it's possible—without needing to know everything in advance.
- Purpose paralysis is rampant in our world. Many deny themselves joy simply because their desires don't serve an obvious "purpose" in the 3D world. Comments like "I feel lazy," "I feel guilty," or "I don't feel like I'm doing anything worthwhile" plague good-hearted lightworkers.
The angels remind us:
Being in flow is best.
In our willingness to do what gives us joy, our cup overflows—and we naturally share that love, inspiration, and happiness with others. Just because you don't see a 3D purpose doesn't mean your action lacks value. Especially now, with wars raging and political divisions growing, our willingness to find joy and emanate love is a powerful 5D gift to the Earth.
Joy Is Reason Enough
So if you've had a soul-sparking desire that's been watered down or set aside due to problem, perfection, or purpose paralysis, here are a few tips to get unstuck and flow again with the stream of life that wants to carry you to your dreams.
1. Remember There's a Higher Power That Helps.
If you're stuck on all the reasons why something can't happen, remember: there is a Higher Power that lives within 8+ billion people, all things, and all beings. This Source knows solutions you haven't even imagined. I've seen so many "miracles" happen when people stop arguing for their limitations and focus instead on what they want and how they want to feel.
Tell God the what, but let go of the how—until you feel inspired to act.
If you're stuck in perfection paralysis, you're forgetting that the Divine can support you through the process.
And if you're stuck on purpose paralysis, you're looking at life from a 3D perspective instead of the 5D truth: that expressing love has eternal value, and tangible output is fleeting.
2. Practice Active Faith.
Active faith is choosing to believe in things unseen. It's a choice. People ask, "How can I believe in what I haven't seen or known?" Good question.
Look for stories of others who achieved what they didn't know how to achieve. Seek examples to bolster your own belief. Then go inward. Choose to imagine how life would feel for you. Be like a child. Create joyful futures in your mind. Feel them.
And just like that child, you too will "enter the kingdom of heaven"—first through love and then by being guided to it.
3. Don't Push Yourself to Act Until You're Guided.
Being paralyzed is different than waiting for guidance. Sometimes, we overthink everything and come up with a giant list of what we should do—but none of it feels right. That's a sign that you haven't received true guidance yet.
When guidance comes, it feels enticing. It intrigues you. It inspires you. It's not something you force or strategize. It's the thought that pops in while you're brushing your teeth. It's the conversation you overhear that answers a question. It's the YouTube video that shows up with exactly what you were wondering about yesterday.
Guidance calls to you—even if you try to talk yourself out of it. Even if you have no clue how it's going to work.
So don't push yourself to take action just because you think you should. Wait for what feels inspired, aligned, or infused with the energy you want to live in.
Final Thoughts
There's a lot of confusion about when to act while manifesting. The word "manifesting" makes it sound like we're doing something. But really, it's about tuning into how we want to feel—and then acting when inspired.
These paralyses get in the way by convincing us that acting is silly, pointless, too hard, or premature.
These days, if I get an impulse that entices me, I jump. I dive right in—ready or not.
Who am I to publish coloring books, make t-shirts, learn word art and design? My "role" is being a spiritual teacher. I was an engineer with zero artsy experience. There's no "purpose"...
But oh, the joy it brings. The energy it gives me. The balance it brings to the deep work I do with others—especially over these past five intense years.
Right now, while wars rage, tempers run high, and fear spreads through otherwise peaceful communities, love is more important than ever.
And let's be real: we love better from our joy than from our worry. We pray more powerfully when we feel empowered. We shine brighter when we let the good in so deeply that we can't help but want it for everyone else.
Your dreams matter. Your desires matter. Your wish to connect with the infinite, with the invisible-yet-present Source you love—that matters deeply.
Even your "silly" dreams may open unexpected paths you never imagined.
Don't let problems, perfection, or purpose stand in the way of your joy.
We are, at heart, spiritual adventurers—souls having an experience in space and time. We are eternal. We always return to the light.
So why not enjoy this ride a little more?
Your dreams call you to walk through new doorways on this eternal journey. Who cares if you know where they lead, how you'll manage, or whether or not you're "ready"?
In a world that demands proof of concept, proper planning, and 3D purpose, let your heart's callings be proof enough that the journey is worthwhile. Let your faith be strong enough to open to the Presence that can transcend any problem, work around any imperfection, and find purpose in all that you love.
This week, take one inspired step toward something you want—no matter how much resistance arises. You can do it. Or more accurately, in a beautiful dance with the Divine... you've got this.
Have a blessed week,
Love,
Ann
