2020 Aquarius Full Moon and August Planetary Dance

Full Moons are the time when the intentions we set at the previous New Moon are blossoming. That was the Cancer New Moon of July 20 when Saturn (limitations and obstacles) in Capricorn (society and authority) was in opposition (opposing forces) to the New Moon. Since then the lockdown due to Covid 19 has started to be eased but with consequences. Younger people under age 40 have now been diagnosed with the virus. I believe that is the influence of Mars in Aries (impatience and impulsive actions) that defies following the rules. Mars is very active this August setting the theme for the lessons of the next six months. But let start with the Aquarius Full Moon.

I like to look back six months to the Aquarius New Moon message that set the theme and challenges we have been experiencing. That New Moon was 24 Jan 2020. That Lunation had the Moon sextile Chiron in Aries (healing ourselves) but also Square Uranus (breaking through to the new). Here was the message from Sister Moon. “This Moon cycle is about opening the sacred heart and listening to the messages from All That Is. Each human now has the opportunity to be guided by Cosmic Knowing and to choose action that is only of benefit for all.  The Moon cycles ahead will be challenging for all two leggeds. But for those who remember all the resources of the Universe are available to guide you then you will become Wayshowers for others.” Sister Moon continued “This New Moon cycle is about breaking free from the limitation and restriction the mind creates and breaking through to being guided by the compassionate heart.”

Interesting our current Aquarius Full Moon has a T Square involving Uranus. Letting us know there is still Soul Work to be done.  So the Aquarius New Moon message is echoing. For our current Full Moon the Moon and Earth are at 11 degrees Aquarius, the Sun 11 degrees Leo, and Uranus 10 degrees Taurus. The Sun in Leo (the ego or the compassionate heart) is strong but the Moon in Aquarius offers us a doorway into the Cosmic Consciousness of All Is One and is guided by Uranus in Taurus who offers us the energy to break free from what is no longer of value and unite with our transformed self. The mid-point of this Full Moon is 11 degrees Scorpio (transformation and rebirth) and is guided by Pluto Rx at 23 degrees Capricorn (transformation of society).

But there is much more happening. Mars at 19 degrees Aries (motivation to act) is also in a T Square (finding new ways of doing things). The players are Pallus Athene (social justice and wisdom) Rx at 15 degrees Capricorn, Jupiter Rx at 19 degrees Capricorn (higher mind) Pluto Rx at 23 degrees Capricorn (transformation of society) and Saturn Rx at 27 degrees Capricorn (new foundations for society). These four are opposite (finding balance amid conflicting energies) Vesta at 26 degrees Cancer and Mercury at 27 degrees Cancer (commitment to following our spiritual destiny path). Spiritually Capricorn is our guide on our Soul Purpose journey. Mars is opposite Juno at 15 degrees Libra (balance and harmony in all our relating) but Juno is trine (removal of obstacles to create ease and flow) the Aquarius Moon/Earth and sextile the Leo Sun (the compassionate heart). Chiron Rx at 09 degrees Aries is opposite Juno (healing past relationship wounds) but trine the Sun (heart center) and sextile the Moon (cosmic healing). The Universe always opens new doorways for us to easily walk through if we have the courage to do so. Pluto was at 23 degrees Capricorn at the Aquarius New Moon of Jan 24 and is still supporting the path of transformation and rebirth.

At this Full Moon our Animal Totem guides are Otter, curiosity, playfulness, and joyful sharing for the Aquarius Moon and Earth (keeping physical distancing in mind) Salmon, courage, perseverance and determination to create the new for the Leo Sun, Beaver, clearing the old and building the new, for Uranus in Taurus, and Snake, healing and shedding the old for the Scorpio mid-point. (They are all reversed for the Southern Hemisphere). The Clan Mother for the Aquarius Moon and Earth is Wisdom Keeper. She is the Mother of friendship, planetary unity, and mutual understanding. She teaches us to honour the truth. For the Leo Sun it is She Who Heals. She is the intuitive healer who teaches us how to serve others with compassion using our healing abilities. And now here comes Red Warrior Star (Mars) in Aries. He is the torch bearer who lights the pathway to inspired new beginnings. But if he is angry he burns down everything in his way. Mars and the Capricorn cluster are in a First Quarter Square. He first met Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn Mar 20 to 31 when he was in Capricorn (limitation and restriction). That is when the pandemic had become worldwide. Now he is in Aries and the First Quarter Square urging us to make a decision, take action, and breakthrough to our I AM ESSENCE SELF as our guide to inspired new beginnings. His Animal Totem guides are Falcon, clear, inspired vision, and Red Tailed Hawk, spiritual messages and Spiritual Messenger. Pay attention to those messages as you walk your new path. Here are the dates for the activations in August with a brief description for each. All times listed are EDT (Eastern Daylight).   

August Activations

Aug 04 - 9.07am - Mars at 19 Aries square Jupiter Rx at 19 Capricorn - take action to remove any obstacles to the expansion of your spiritual vision. 11.32pm Mercury enters Leo (until Aug 19) - be guided by your heart knowing in all your communications and intentions. Creation energy is being activated.

Aug 07 - 11.21 am - Venus enters Cancer (until Sept 06) - Be heart centered in all your relating and whatever you are creating.

Aug 10 - 8.52am - Mercury at 10 Leo square Uranus 10 Taurus - breakthrough to what is of true value and speaks to your heart. Squares ask us to find new ways of doing things.

Aug 13 - 3.14 am - Mars at 23 Aries square Pluto Rx at 23 Capricorn - Actively release obstacles and embrace transformation. 

Aug 15 - 10.25 am - Uranus at 10 Taurus turns retrograde until 14 Jan 2021 - Breakthrough to your Authentic Self. We will feel the pull to do so at the beginning of the Rx and again when Uranus turns direct. It is the opportunity to embrace what is of true value.

Aug 16 - 10.02 am - Sun at 24 Leo trine Mars and Eris at 24 Aries - Wonderful creative energy to manifest new inspired beginnings guided by your compassionate heart.   

Aug 17 - 1.29 am - This is a busy day beginning with Mercury at 24 Leo trine Mars and Eris at 24 Aries. The Moon enters Leo at 1.38 am and then at 11.07am Mercury and the Sun merge at 25 Leo and the Moon at 08 Leo trines Chiron Rx at 08 Aries at 4.55pm. At 8.01 pm the Moon at 10 Leo squares Uranus at 10 Taurus. The message is be centered in your compassionate heart as the day events unfold. Mars and Eris can activate anger, conflict and discord. Focus on purposeful action for social justice with kindness for all. The Moon is in her Balsamic Phase, healing, forgiveness, completion, and release. Moon trine Chiron supports the healing and release.

Aug 18 - 10 42 pm - Leo New Moon at 26 degrees. This is a potent New Moon that echoes yesterday’s energy. There is an inconjunct aspect to Saturn that requires adjustment and revision just a few minutes after the New Moon. We will write more closely to this timing.

Aug 19 - 9.30 pm - Mercury enters Virgo - Healing mind, body, and spirit. Mercury is in Virgo until Sept 05.

Aug 22 - 11.45 am - Sun visits Virgo until Sept 22. Continue to focus on Healing into wholeness. And being of spiritual service.

Aug 24 - 2.19 pm - Mars at 26 Aries square Saturn Rx at 26 Capricorn. Be responsible for what you create. Break free from inner limitation and the restriction it creates. Strengthen your spiritual foundation.

You may want to journal what you experience at this time especially the Mars activations. Red Warrior Star goes retrograde Sept 09 and these squares to Capricorn are repeated Sept 29 to Oct 19. But we will not be clear of the activations until Mid-Dec. So be courageous and brave and enjoy the journey. There is no other way.
