Spiritual Clarity Call: July–August 2025

Spiritual Clarity Call: July–August 2025

Here’s my spiritual guidance July/August 2025, covering the lunar month beginning with the Leo new moon on July 24th at 8.11pm (UK) through to August 23rd.

Every new lunar month I draw one card from the Thoth Tarot to spark intuitive insight about the key energy to navigate by during the coming four weeks. I then take a quick look at the astrology.

Spiritual guidance July/August 2025 inspired by the Tarot

After the high-octane swirl of June and July, chaotic on the surface but flowing with deep currents of divine guidance, we arrive here. At the threshold of profound change.

If you prefer to listen, play the podcast video below. Otherwise, read on.

On July 7th, Uranus – planet of disruption, awakening, and innovation – entered Gemini, the air sign of ideas, language, and swift movement. It remains here until 2033 (with one brief retrograde into Taurus). This shift sets the tone for the next decade, and the ripples begin now.

Expect seismic shifts in communication, technology, transport, media, and information flow; themes ruled by Gemini. These are the systems poised to break apart and break through. On a global scale, headlines will reflect this revolution. On a personal level, you may feel called to completely rethink what you believe, how you express truth, share knowledge, and connect.

I’m also sensing the sudden removal or fall of key figures in these spheres – leaders whose values and approach no longer align with the new frequency of transparency and truth. The people will no longer allow it.

This month’s card, the Ace of Swords, channels this energy with razor-sharp clarity. Representing the element of Air, this card speaks of truth, justice, insight, vision, and the spark of a new mental paradigm. Here’s the key: Aces offer pure raw potential, not guaranteed outcomes. What you do with this energy determines its impact, for good or for ill.

As a Minor Arcana card, the Ace hands the power to you. Will you wield it to speak truth, create justice, and bring healing clarity? Or will you let it be twisted by fear, ego, or illusion? The same question applies to the world around us.

As a lover of Celtic myth, I can’t help but see Excalibur in the Ace of Swords. This ancient symbol offers a focused lens for interpreting the energy you’re working with now. Let’s explore it.

Divine authority and sovereignty: Excalibur marks Arthur’s right to rule, not through brute strength, but through spiritual worth. Whether drawn from the stone or offered by the Lady of the Lake, the sword symbolizes a divine calling. Leadership is earned through integrity, not conquest.

Spiritual power and purpose: Excalibur cuts through illusion. It reveals truth, clears confusion, and shatters false narratives. It’s not a weapon of domination, but a tool of clarity and sacred justice designed to enact divine order on Earth.

The soul’s calling: To wield Excalibur is to claim your soul’s purpose. Arthur couldn’t carry it unless he was aligned with his true self. That looked very different from his apparently lowly beginnings. The same is true for you. Power without purpose becomes destruction. But power in service – rooted in soul truth – becomes magic.

Bridge to the Otherworld: Gifted and later reclaimed by the Lady of the Lake, Excalibur represents the balance between the human and the divine, the material and the mystical. The Lady – the Otherworldly woman – offers the sword only when it will be used in service to the land, the people, and the greater good. She reminds you that true power is held in right relationship, not isolation.

A personal response to a collective crisis: Arthur rose in an age of darkness, chaos, and collapse. Injustice ran rampant. Fear ruled. But he didn’t mirror the world’s brokenness, he offered something better. A vision. A path of shared thriving, not just survival.

Sound familiar? We’re at the close of a long, dark age. What’s needed now isn’t a return or a clinging to the past. It’s an evolution into something entirely new. And it starts not with a king, but with you. If you’re inspired to find out more about Arthur, I thoroughly recommend Celtic Source’s introduction to the earliest Welsh sources for his myth.

Your invitation this month is to pick up your own Excalibur:

  • See yourself clearly – both shadow and light. No judgement. Breathe.
  • Do the inner work to free yourself from fear, illusion, and victimhood.
  • Claim the truth of who you are: a sovereign soul with the power to create.
  • Align your will with Spirit.
  • Ask what awakens your passion now. It may surprise you. What are you here to build, speak, write, defend in response to this moment?
  • Ground your ideas in love. Speak them. Stand for them. Shape them into form.

Everything begins with a thought, an idea, an inspiration. This month is the moment to choose yours consciously. The sword is held out to you. Will you grasp it? Use it to cut through the noise. Wield it with wisdom. And forge something new – moment by moment – rooted in compassion, clarity, and courage.

Guidance July/August 2025 from astrology

The Leo new moon on the 24th July announces a moment of intense change that is set to define the course of history. The shape of the future is contained in each moment of now. Everything you do is significant.

Venus joins Jupiter in Cancer – a beautiful combination. It blesses with abundance any creative activities in the spheres of home, property or caring. Make the most of any lucky breaks in the two weeks around the full moon in Aquarius on the 9th August.

Mars moves into Libra on the 6th July and it’s time to get moving. The power is with those who are willing to innovate bravely in a challenging new setting. With Uranus sextile Neptune and Saturn in Aries from the 12th August, adaptation is vital, no matter how strange it may look. We’re being encouraged to embrace different ideals and spiritual disciplines.
