September begins with Saturn retrograding back into Pisces, where it will remain until February 13th.

As Saturn finishes its sojourn through Pisces, saying its last goodbyes until April 16th, 2052 (!), any issues of self-pity and victim identity are revealed. This brings awareness to root out false beliefs and seek wisdom to change what one can control while releasing the hold of circumstances that are beyond your ability to change.

Mercury in Virgo: Early September Energy

Mercury makes its appearance in its home sign of Virgo on September 2nd and is moving extremely fast, entering Libra on the 18th. The first two weeks of September are excellent for Mercury-related activities, such as recommitting to health routines, sending out resumes or work communications, organizing your personal space, and finding good deals on phones, computers, or vehicles.

Full Moon Eclipse: September 7th

The first eclipse of the month is the full moon eclipse on Sunday, September 7th. Eclipse energy is felt starting Friday as the moon waxes toward fullness. Uranus stations retrograde on Saturday, adding uncertainty and a desire to experience more of life. With the full moon in Pisces, it is a weekend to include music, art, and anything that brings you closer to the essential truth of your heart.

Virgo New Moon Eclipse: September 21st

Two weeks later, on the 21st, we experience the unusual second Virgo new moon of the year, which is also an eclipse. It is as if the universe is saying, “Listen up humans, it’s time to pay attention and get your Virgo needs and acts together.” Saturn in the cosmic courtroom opposite the solar eclipse demands accountability and truthfulness in how well the routine of your life is serving you.

This is a time for inner reflection to assess if how you are spending your time has meaning. Do you feel you are doing what you were meant to do? Service is an underlying Virgo value—how do you serve, and does what you are doing serve you? Eclipse day is excellent for journaling your perfect routine—daily, weekly, quarterly, yearly. Perfection is an ideal, yet writing down your thoughts and desires sends intention to the universe on the wings of this strong eclipse. Inner contemplation may reveal that your career no longer serves you as expected. With Saturn in the mix, tough choices may arise, but ultimately it is about being truthful to who you are now and who you wish to evolve into, not your past self.

Sun Enters Libra: September 22nd – Equinox

The next day, the Sun moves into Libra, marking the equinox of equal day (Sun) and night (Moon). This symbolizes seeking balance in inner and outer life. Does your career dominate while inner needs remain unfulfilled? What adjustments are needed to achieve equilibrium? The Sun, still reeling from the previous day’s eclipse, contends with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, challenging either despair over unreachable hopes or inspiring determination to create a spiritual foundation guiding your next steps with certainty.

Mars in Scorpio: Action and Purging

Mars returns to Scorpio on the day of the equinox. Mars in Scorpio gets things done—sometimes ruthlessly, like ripping off a band-aid quickly. This is an excellent period to purge clutter or unneeded items. Tough conversations can be addressed directly—say what you mean and mean what you say.

Capricorn First Quarter Moon: Month-End Stability

The month ends with the first quarter moon in Capricorn, bringing stability and a “can-do” attitude. Sometimes all that is needed is to put one foot in front of the other to reach your destination.
