In My Journey today my Companion Guide is the White Tiger..
- Details
The White Tiger
A symbol of serene strength and power in Japan and China where it is the tiger, not the lion who is "king of beasts".
The tiger is also associated with Tsai Shen Yeh, the Chinese God of Wealth, and this god is usually seen sitting on a tiger in Asian art.
The White Tiger is the Guardian of the West and the symbol of the coming Autumn season. Be on guard and watch for signs. He is the Protector and will keep you safe. The energy of the White Tiger is powerful when combined with acting on your inuition and powerful heart frequencies to harness and create wealth.
When the White Tiger appears on your journey, this may herald the time to manifest your wealth as this amount of pure raw energy when harnessed with postiive manifestation and action will bring wealth and ultimately peace and safety.
In Far Eastern astrology, the White Tiger is a supernatural figure who presides over the Western, or autumn quadrant of the sky. The spirit of the White Tiger combines the courage and fierceness of a soldier with an ethereal, magisterial dignity. In ancient times, the head of the White Tiger graced the shields of soldiers going into battle, the entrances to important fortifications and the bows of the Emperor's fastest ships. To wear the symbol of the White Tiger embroidered on ones robe was indicative of high rank among military officers. And in the ultimate tribute, the title of "White Tiger" was bestowed upon Yin Chen-Hsin, a canonized general by the last Emperor of the yin dynasty. The general's image is found on the entrance of all Taoist temples to this day.
The mystery and mythology surrounding the White Tiger continued unabated for centuries. Its likeness was frequently painted on sanctuary walls to frighten away demonic, evil spirits. In fact, tiger images pervade the remaining temples and structures of the famous Shogun dynasty of Japan.
Some Asian lore considers the tiger the protector of the dead, and will often be seen in graves as a mark of protection, assuring peace for those who have passed.
Chinese animal symbolism of the tiger:
Power *Energy *Royalty *Protection *Generosity *Illumination *Unpredictability
Tigers are considered a yang energy, and are also a solar animal which associates them with symbolisms of the sun, summer and fire.
In ancient Chinese myth there are five tigers that hold the balance of cosmic forces in place and prevent chaos from collapsing into the universe.
These five tigers are:
- White Tiger: ruler of the Fall season and governor of the Metal elementals
- Black Tiger: ruler of the Winter season and governor of the Water elementals
- Blue Tiger: ruler of the Spring season and governor of the Earth elementals
- Red Tiger: ruler of the Summer season and governor of the Fire elementals
- Yellow Tiger: the supreme ruler of all these tigers and symbolic of the Sun
If you are intending more wealth in your life, call upon tiger energy to help you facilitate your manifestations. Visualize the copper color of the tiger associated with the gleam of coins. Visual associations like these are very effective with attracting our desires.
Align yourself with the seasons and cycles of Mother Nature and include the five Chinese tigers in your practices.
