When I look at the chart for the New Moon on June 25th, I can’t help but feel that this lunation brings an opportunity for a renewed start, one that allows your heart’s desire and authentic self to take root.
The New Moon is in Cancer at 4 degrees, which adds an extra dose of the sign’s nurturing, intuitive nature. The Moon is exact at 5:31 AM CDT, offering a beautiful fresh breath to start your new cycle.
Cancer energy is about home, safety, and security. During current tensions throughout the world, you may be taking a new approach when it comes to you and your loved ones. If there has been strain within your family, you may feel inspired to set differences aside, especially with Jupiter in conjunction with the New Moon. Jupiter will magnify your perspective, and there could be a wave of nostalgia for times when there was greater harmony on the Homefront.
With a sextile to Mars, you may be driven to make the first move or extend the olive branch. However, with Neptune and Saturn forming a square to the New Moon, old childhood wounds or the feeling of being stifled by an authoritative parent may hold you back from taking action. If now doesn’t feel like the time to reach out to others, this could be a good moment for self-nurturance. A guided meditation focused on healing past hurts may help you gain clarity about your family dynamics. And if the wounds are deep, there could be a calling to begin a therapeutic journey.
Whether your focus is on home and family or another personal area, the Cancer New Moon brings the potential for meaningful growth. Whatever it is that you want to begin, this is the time to plant the seeds and tend to them with care. Your efforts now can yield long-term results.
Mercury in Cancer is sextile Uranus and in opposition to Pluto, which may help you come up with fresh solutions to long-standing challenges. For example, you may have had a great idea for a business but lacked the capital to launch it. Mercury can help you negotiate with a partner, and the influence of Pluto and Uranus could bring an innovative way to move forward. Since Cancer is tribal by nature, there may be others who share your values and vision. Seeking them out and working collaboratively may be the revolutionary solution you’ve been needing.
Mercury is also forming a trine to Neptune and Saturn. With Neptune, you may be thinking and talking about your dreams and ideals more openly. Saturn brings the ability to focus and see the steps needed to turn those dreams into something real. This isn’t just about business. Whatever it is that you’ve been longing to do, you now have the support of the outer planets, the discipline of Saturn, and the blessings of Jupiter working with the Cancer New Moon.
The overall vibe of this New Moon is love, deep, nurturing, authentic love. Venus in Taurus is enhancing the energy with a grounding foundation and graceful acceptance. It’s also in alignment with the Pisces North Node, encouraging connection with others and your higher self. With Venus conjunct Uranus, there’s a call to take radical steps and shift your prior paradigm. It’s time to surrender doubts and fears and lean into compassion, creativity, and a sense of freedom. Let go of old programming and allow yourself to be guided by a deeper current of universal love.
The energy of this New Moon is beautiful. It offers a chance to close one chapter and begin anew. Focus on your dreams and take ownership of your actions going forward. This is not just a time to say “I claim this” but to act in a way that supports your intentions. It’s an auspicious New Moon, a portal through which you can begin changing your circumstances. The portal is Cancerian in nature, so tapping into your instincts, intuition, and long-term emotional security is key. And don’t forget the blessings of Jupiter, or the importance of gratitude for your past, present, and the future you are creating.
Whatever you’ve had on the back burner, now is the time to roll up your sleeves, dig deep into the earth, plant your seeds, and nourish them with care. This is your moment to support your dreams and help them materialize and grow.
Let’s get more specific to you and your chart. The horoscopes below reflect overarching energies based on your Rising Sign, using Whole Sign Houses in Western Astrology.
Horoscopes by Rising Sign
Though these horoscopes are written for your Rising Sign, you may find additional insight by also reading your Sun and Moon signs, especially through the lens of derivative astrology. Even if specific events are mentioned, take a broader view and consider that this is not a personalized reading. Interpret the themes through the context of your own chart.
Aries Rising
The focus for you, Aries, is home and family. This New Moon offers an opportunity to redefine your environment and the dynamics between you and your parents or children. It’s a powerful time to pivot toward solutions rather than conflict.
The key here is to avoid being overly authoritative in your approach. With Saturn in your first house, you may feel compelled to set firm boundaries for yourself or others. Instead, lean into Saturn’s strength as a strategist. Use it to find practical, long-term solutions. Neptune is also in your sign, reminding you to stay sensitive, not only to your own needs, but to those of the people around you.
Over the past week, you’ve likely been focused on organizing your work environment and tackling your to-do list. You’ve also been tuned in to your core values. Even if your integrity has been tested, you’re moving forward towards a place of peace, love, and harmony.
Taurus Rising
You’ve been thinking about your community, and this New Moon invites you to deepen your connection with it. Reach out to neighbors or get involved in local programs that focus on safety, care, and mutual support.
This lunation also asks you to take ownership of your spiritual perspective. No matter your belief system, many spiritual traditions encourage love and compassion for those around us. It’s easy to see unfamiliar people as “other,” but this is a chance to bridge that gap. Engage in conversations and learn more about the people who live around you.
Lately, your creativity may have shown up more through insight than artistry. You may feel called to act in ways that enhance your happiness or align more closely with your values.
With Venus in your first house, there’s a strong call to open your heart. Whether it’s love for your community, friends, family, or especially yourself, self-love is the foundation that connects you to the world around you.
Gemini Rising
This New Moon supports you in planting seeds for financial growth. With Jupiter conjunct the Moon in your second house, abundance is a central theme. Mercury is also influencing this area of your chart, so be intentional with your thoughts about money. Visualize it flowing to you freely, without restriction or doubt.
In your social life, you may be the one who takes the lead. Reach out to friends and create opportunities for connection. Some of these interactions could open doors that you don’t yet see.
At home, you may be fixing broken appliances, tidying up, or reorganizing areas that have become cluttered. This is a good time for a deep clean or to bring order to spaces like your pantry or garage.
On a spiritual level, you may have recently thought of a loved one who has passed on. Perhaps you've wondered how they would view current events. Trust that they are watching over you. They want you to remember that every chapter in life has its own season, and you are never truly alone.
Cancer Rising
You’ve got the big wild card: a New Moon in your first house. This is your reset button. Anything is possible, and you’re in a prime position to manifest your dreams. The key is not to get stuck in worry or anxiety. Instead, trust the process, visualize your ideal life, and act as if your heart’s desires are already on their way.
That said, this doesn’t mean you get to ignore responsibility, especially when it comes to your daily work and career goals. Manifestation isn’t about sitting back and waiting for things to fall into place. It’s about living at a higher frequency and aligning your actions with that energy. If a tough business decision needs to be made, make it with a clear mind and a kind heart.
You may also feel inspired to get involved in your community, perhaps through a neighborhood watch, PTA, or local advocacy work. Your voice matters, and your leadership can create real change.
You’ve likely been spending a lot of time alone, and this New Moon nudges you to step out and engage with others. Spend time with people who share your values and your desire to create a better world.
Leo Rising
This New Moon may not feel outwardly exciting, but it has the potential to be deeply transformative. It lands in your twelfth house, a space of spirituality, introspection, and inner healing. Your dreams may be especially vivid right now, offering clues and guidance for your soul’s growth.
This is a time to honor your spiritual roots while also remaining open to new wisdom. Your subconscious is active and rich with insight, so pay attention to recurring themes or symbols. Jot them down so you can reflect on their meaning later.
In the material world, it’s time to acknowledge the value you bring to your job. Create a detailed list of your accomplishments over the past year. If you can, back it up with data. This is a good time to request a meeting with your supervisor to review your performance and strategize your goals for the rest of the year.
Even though much of this New Moon is internal, don’t be surprised if you feel drawn to engage with your work or recommit to your purpose.
Virgo Rising
It’s time to spread your wings and reconnect with the world. With the New Moon in your eleventh house, your social life gets a lift. Say yes to parties, invitations, or opportunities to meet new people. If socializing doesn’t come naturally right now, consider joining a group, club, or cause that speaks to you. You may feel particularly drawn to activism or efforts that focus on human rights.
At the same time, take responsibility for shared resources and financial obligations, especially those tied to family. Whether it's helping a relative get organized or sorting out shared expenses, you're being called to show up as a leader in difficult matters.
This is also a good time for personal refinement. You may feel a desire to tweak your appearance or make subtle changes that help you project more intention and confidence.
There may even be a romantic or indulgent getaway calling your name. You could find yourself daydreaming about a weekend picnic, a French café, or simply enjoying nature with someone special by your side.
Libra Rising
Libra, I’ve been telling you for a while that work was about to pick up again, and here we are. This time, though, the momentum works in your favor. The New Moon in your tenth house gives you a chance to create a work environment that nourishes you. Start by envisioning a calm and protective energy around your desk, your schedule, and yourself. Shield yourself from distractions, and don’t take on what isn’t yours.
Let this be a time to shine without burnout. Keep communication warm but efficient so you can stay focused on your goals.
Your one-on-one relationships also need your attention, especially with your significant other or your closest friend. If you're in a partnership, now’s the time to show your commitment and speak openly about your shared dreams and long-term vision.
Financially, you may see extra income from a joint venture. Consider using that money for something special. Treat your partner to a night out or even a short escape where you can reconnect both physically and emotionally.
Scorpio Rising
This New Moon invites you to elevate your mind and nourish your higher self. With the ninth house activated, now is the time to dive into philosophy, spirituality, cultural studies, or law. If you’ve been considering further education, spiritual mentorship, or a long-distance journey, this could be your sign to say yes.
Even as you explore expansive ideas, take care of your daily responsibilities. Focus on your routines, your health, and your physical space. Make sure you're getting enough rest, staying hydrated, and protecting yourself from the summer heat.
You may also feel more social than usual. Say yes to invites, especially if they lead to meaningful conversations about the state of the world. But don’t forget to care for your body while you engage your mind.
On a more intimate level, you may find yourself feeling much closer to your partner. The noise of the world may fade when it’s just the two of you, allowing you to retreat into a shared space of peace, healing, and love.
Sagittarius Rising
This is a potent time for building and strengthening partnerships, especially those that involve shared resources or future investments. You might be managing someone else's finances, combining assets with a loved one, or thinking about the legacy you want to leave behind.
With Saturn in your fifth house, your romantic life or creative projects may feel more serious or slowed down, but there’s long-term value in what you’re building. Whether it’s love, art, or personal growth, your efforts will have lasting impact.
You’re likely making moves at work as well, such as taking on a new project, refining your organization system, or checking in on your yearly progress. This is a good moment to assess your contributions and set goals that ensure a strong finish to the year.
Your daily routine feels solid overall, but be sure to listen to your body. You may be inspired to make your workspace more enjoyable or invest in your physical well-being. Nutrition and movement could become more of a focus, and even a small shift in habits could make a big difference.
Capricorn Rising
Relationships take center stage, and this New Moon brings a chance for emotional renewal in your partnerships. If you're single, this could be a time to manifest someone new. If you're already in a relationship, there's potential for deepening the bond and sharing heartfelt intentions for the future.
Partnerships aren’t just romantic. You could find yourself becoming a trusted confidant to a boss or developing a meaningful connection with someone you admire. Be open to the new and unexpected.
This is also a good time to take responsibility for your home life and ask yourself whether your environment reflects your needs and values. If not, take action. You have the power to shape your space and your closest relationships in ways that support your dreams.
You might be planning a quick trip, something simple like a weekend getaway or a visit to a nearby city. Travel doesn’t have to be big to be refreshing.
Creatively, you're coming back into yourself. Whether you’re drawing inspiration from a muse or reconnecting with your inner artist, you may feel the urge to create something that reflects your desire for peace, balance, and beauty.
Aquarius Rising
This New Moon invites you to nurture yourself in ways you may have been overlooking. Even if you already eat well and exercise regularly, you might realize that the missing ingredient is self-love. You may feel called to book a day at the spa, create a peaceful corner in your home, or play relaxing music while you work. While you often prioritize caring for others, this New Moon reminds you to also prioritize yourself.
You may also find yourself stepping into a leadership role with siblings, neighbors, or extended family. They might turn to you for support or guidance, and you’re likely the calm, rational voice that helps bring stability to their lives. Your presence may help them take greater ownership of their responsibilities, especially in regard to safety and personal well-being.
Financial partnerships are also coming into focus. This could be a time when you decide to build a financial cushion or keep some emergency funds on hand. Taking practical steps now can offer peace of mind later.
Your home is your sanctuary, and you're likely paying special attention to making it feel comforting and nourishing. If you've started a garden, you may be tending to it more carefully now, treating it as a source of both joy and sustainability.
Pisces Rising
This is your time to plant seeds for creativity, joy, and heartfelt expression. If you're hoping to start a family, the New Moon’s conjunction with Jupiter brings especially fertile energy. Even in uncertain times, you carry a quiet optimism. Deep down, you know that life, love, creativity, and new experiences will continue no matter what.
That doesn’t mean you’re ignoring the world around you. On the contrary, you're holding tightly to your personal values and focusing on what matters most. Your dreams, your relationships, and your sense of inner independence are guiding you forward.
In your partnership, you may be making deliberate choices based on facts rather than fear. That doesn't mean you're free of concern, but you understand that hard times eventually pass. Your grounded perspective gives you the confidence to take meaningful action, even when others feel stuck.
At your core, you feel connected to something greater. You’re tapped into universal love and can sense that this is simply another shift in energy. You understand that while circumstances change, there is a deeper continuity underneath it all. That wisdom anchors you and helps others find their center too.
How to Manifest with the Cancer New Moon
The Cancer New Moon is the most fertile energy for manifesting, especially with the blessings of the Jupiter conjunction. Regardless of your natal chart, there is an opportunity to manifest and shift the current energy into your favor.
Manifestation is more than wishing or claiming. It’s about aligning your energy, taking responsibility and action. It’s about going with the flow, like being on a boat drifting down a winding river rather than rowing upstream. You allow yourself to relax and have faith that the universe will provide you with what you desire. And most of all, you are respectful for divine timing. Sometimes, manifestations happen quickly, but sometimes, there are delays, so do not push against the tide.
Here are some practices to help you co-create your future:
Get Clear on What You Want
Don’t just wish for “more money” or “a better relationship.” Take the time to define what you truly want and why. Write it down in clear, heartfelt language. The more specific and emotionally honest you are, the more powerful the energy behind it becomes. For instance, if you want a partner who supports your career goals, you could say you want your own personal cheerleader who is just as excited for your own accomplishments as you are.
See It and Feel It
Close your eyes and picture it already happening. Not just the scene, but the feeling. What does your body feel like? How do you breathe? What’s around you? Do you feel a tingling sensation? Visualization works best when it engages all your senses and emotions. The picture doesn’t have to be perfectly clear but the feeling ideally should be strong and filled with excitement.
Speak It into the Present
Affirm what you desire as if it’s already true. Try saying, “I am surrounded by supportive relationships,” instead of “I want better friends.” Speak it, write it, feel it. Let it become part of your everyday internal dialogue. And keep the language positive.
Practice Gratitude
Gratitude is magnetic. It shifts your vibration and opens the door to receive. Be genuinely thankful for what you already have, and express gratitude for what’s coming, even before it arrives. You could use “magic” by writing a list of 3 or more things you are grateful for each day.
Surround Yourself with Meaningful Symbols
Create a space or a vision board that reflects what you’re manifesting. Use photos, words, colors, or objects that remind you of your goals. It’s not about perfection, it’s about emotional resonance. Also, pay attention to the symbols the Universe is sending you, such as repeated numbers or a feather floating in the sky.
Act in Alignment
Ask yourself, “What would the version of me who already has this do today?” Then act accordingly. You don’t need to fake it. Just start making small choices that line up with the future you’re calling in, even if it is a tiny step. For instance, if you want a romantic partner, create space for them in your bed.
Write It Out
Journaling helps you sort through clutter and deepen your clarity. Use it to get honest, to dream bigger, and to affirm your worth. However, I like to write check lists, the things to do to bring me my desired results. If I do three things each day that support my manifestation, I am aligned with the creation.
Stay Consistent, Not Rigid
You don’t need to do every practice daily, but do stay engaged. This is a relationship between you and the Universe. The more you show up, the more you’ll notice alignment and opportunities showing up for you, too. Noticing the clouds or a clear sky is nature’s way of showing that change is in motion. Give a nod to the Universe in action.
Believe in What You Can’t Yet See
If doubt creeps in, gently acknowledge it and bring yourself back to trust. Remind yourself that you don’t have to know how it will happen, you just have to stay open to the possibility that it can. Remember the times when your life aligned for you and appreciate the invisible force that made it happen.
Let Go with Love
After you’ve set your intentions and taken aligned action, loosen your grip. You don’t have to chase what’s already making its way to you. Trust the timing. Sometimes letting go is the most magnetic thing you can do. You should be riding the wave instead of pushing against it. If you find yourself with worry or doubt, take a soothing bath, do some breath work and participate in a gentle, guided meditation.
Final Thoughts About The Cancer New Moon
As I wrote this article, I thought about my father. He grew up poor, so poor that neither he nor his siblings were born in a hospital. My father was the first one in his family to graduate from high school.
Astrologically, his Sun was conjunct Jupiter in the first house, which made him a natural-born manifester. He worked multiple jobs, and eventually, he went from a gas station attendant, to the manager and then owning the station. But it wasn’t just his job, he had a large circle of friends, involved in the community and he was a risk taker.
His life was cut short when he was hit by a drunk driver, on his way from South Florida to North Carolina to help his best friend. He was only 40 years old when he died but he squeezed more into those 40 years than most people do with 80.
I think about him often and his zest for life, as well as his generosity. Looking back, I could have internalized his short life as a cautionary tale, being fearful of saying yes to doing anything outside of my comfort zone. But instead, he is my inspiration to dream and to push myself into uncharted waters and allow life to unfold. I manifest because it worked for him and it has worked for me.
There is an attitude with manifesters that anything is possible. Rarely do things play out exactly the way you think they will, but the things you really want will show up. The key is to be ready and willing to ride the wave.
