November Super Full Moon in Taurus – What to Expect

Passion will move men beyond themselves, beyond their shortcomings, beyond their failures. ~ Joseph Campbell
In the days leading up to a Full Moon, many of us may feel heightened sensitivity — too much activity, wakefulness at night, and an abundance of emotions. Those who are water signs or naturally attuned to lunar energy understand this rhythm intimately. The Full Moon phase represents culmination — the release of emotions and truths we can no longer contain, and the manifestation or conclusion of cycles.
The Full Moon in Taurus on Wednesday, November 5 2025 is also a Super Moon, meaning it occurs when the Moon is closest to Earth in its orbit. This is the second of three Super Moons and the closest Full Moon of the year.
Be sure to observe the Moon the night before its culmination, weather permitting. In New York City, it will peak at 8:19 a.m. ET on Wednesday, November 5. Since it will not be above the horizon at that exact time, the best viewing will be during Moonrise or just before Moonset, coinciding with Sunrise during a Full Moon (6:31 a.m. ET). As the Sun rises in the East, the Moon sets in the West — a beautiful dance of light. Because of an optical illusion, the Moon appears even larger at Moonrise and Moonset, so the best viewing is likely Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning, depending on your location and the weather.
The Magic of the Full Moon
Full Moons are inherently magical. Each month, the Sun and Moon align to illuminate our hopes, emotions, values, and dreams. This alignment brings to the surface what has been hidden — waiting to be understood, realized, or released.
We feel the intensity of the Full Moon most in the days leading up to it, and it gradually wanes afterward. This is an ideal time for divination practices — casting runes, reading tea leaves, dream interpretation, or tarot. Perform these at night when the Moon is visible, ideally the evening before its culmination (8:19 a.m. ET / 5:19 a.m. PT / 1:19 p.m. BST on November 5). With the Moon opposite the Sun in Scorpio, sextile the True North Node, and semi-square mystical Neptune, insights are especially vivid and accurate.
Reflection and Illumination
This Full Moon invites introspection. Step back and assess your life from a higher perspective. Ask yourself:
- What am I learning and discovering in the light of the Full Moon?
- As a result of what I’m seeing, what adjustments might I make going forward?
- Is something in my life coming to fruition or completion?
- How do these realizations affect my values and sense of self-worth?
- What insights am I receiving about my true purpose and destiny?
Full Moons illuminate our truth. By recognizing and honoring your authentic priorities, you align with your soul’s purpose and navigate chaos with grace. The path forward may be different for everyone, but when you honor what truly matters, you find stability and clarity even amid change.
Celestial Dynamics
As the Moon reaches fullness, Mars enters Sagittarius while opposing Uranus — which soon re-enters Taurus on November 7–8. Taurus is a sign of peace and grounding, yet Mars–Uranus transits can bring disruption: explosive, surprising, or impulsive shifts. Sometimes change is necessary to align with inner evolution. Take calculated risks when needed, but don’t discard what’s truly valuable. Hold on to what matters as you move through transformation.
The Moon will be full, radiant, and powerful. Let its light reveal what is ready to end — and what is waiting to begin anew.
