The Pisces Full Moon on September 7th, 2025, is a Total Lunar Eclipse. It will be exact at 15°22′, and for those in the Central Time Zone in the United States, it will occur at approximately 1:09 PM.
Because this is a lunar eclipse, it won’t be visible in the Americas. However, if you’re in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India, Russia, China, Indonesia, or Western Australia (or nearby), you should be able to view the total eclipse if the weather cooperates.
Why are eclipses a big deal? Well, they are, and they aren’t. It all depends on your chart and what’s happening in the world around you. You can think of a lunar eclipse as a supercharged full moon. If you’ve started a cycle in the Virgo–Pisces polarity, this full moon could highlight how far you’ve come, allow others to recognize your progress, or mark the completion of that cycle.
You might also look back to February of this year, when we had a New Moon in Pisces. Or you could revisit the Virgo–Pisces eclipse cycle that ran from March 20, 2015, through February 26, 2017. Some cycles are easy to spot, like starting a new relationship, job, or hobby. Others are more subtle, such as a shift in perspective or a quiet change to your routine.
Eclipse Impacts to the United States Leadership
You could also examine other factors that may be in your peripheral scope. For example, if you live in the United States, the dates mentioned above may stand out when you think about leadership. In February 2015, Trump did not renew his contract with the television show The Apprentice. At the time, there was speculation that he might run for President, and by June 2015, he officially announced his candidacy.
So, why is this eclipse cycle significant for Trump? It has to do with his natal chart. Trump was born during a lunar eclipse in the Gemini–Sagittarius polarity. This polarity is mutable and square to the Virgo–Pisces polarity. The energy of this eclipse activates his natal Uranus and Moon, which can stir disruption, restlessness, agitation, and arguments. There is also the potential for an accident caused by his own actions. An eclipse alone rarely triggers anything catastrophic, but he has other difficult aspects in play. Saturn is opposing his natal Neptune, a transit that only happens a couple of times in your life and can exacerbate health issues. I am not predicting his demise, but this will not be an easy weekend for him. He will likely lash out at others without realizing just how irritable and reactive he is.
For Trump, this eclipse could represent a peak moment or the start of an ending saga. Keep in mind that eclipses do not always bring immediate beginnings or endings. The polarity cycles last for about two years. This current cycle began on September 18th, 2024, and will not wrap up until February 20th, 2027. Sometimes the effects of an eclipse take months or even years to fully reveal themselves.
How This Eclipse May Affect You
Now, you may be wondering how this eclipse will impact you. Full Moon energy often brings a push and pull, two opposing forces vying for dominance. Where this plays out depends on the houses being activated in your chart. Look to see where Virgo and Pisces are in your chart, and use Whole Signs for clarity.
-
First and Seventh Houses – The energy centers on your needs versus the needs of a partner or relationship.
-
Second and Eighth Houses – Personal values and income versus shared resources or debts.
-
Third and Ninth Houses – Community and communication versus world culture, beliefs, higher learning, law, or publishing.
-
Fourth and Tenth Houses – Home and family versus career and reputation.
-
Fifth and Eleventh Houses – Creativity, children, play, and joy versus friendships, social groups, and social causes.
-
Sixth and Twelfth Houses – Daily routines, tasks, work, and physical health versus spiritual and mental health, alone time, retreats, or institutions.
Also, keep in mind that the energy this weekend relates to what you are conscious of and what is beneath the surface, which can be harder to see. Our cycles are not always obvious until much later. I tend to think of a spirograph, with circles overlapping circles. It can be hard to tell where one begins and another ends. But as time passes, or as you step back for a wider view, the pattern becomes clearer and certain shapes jump out from the design.

Other Astrological Influences
I don’t expect anyone to have clarity this weekend, that most likely won’t happen until we get to the Mercury Cazimi on the following weekend. During the eclipse, Mercury will be conjunct to the sun in Virgo, but it will be in its combustible state, approximately 5 degrees separating the two placements. When this happens, the vitality and strength of the sun will override thought and decisions based on the Virgo analysis. Don’t expect what you think are facts to be completely accurate this weekend and you may want to postpone making major decisions. Let the dust settle first and then evaluate the situation is how I would personally handle the energy.
This weekend though is a great time to be with friends. Enjoy a visit to the farmer’s market, enjoy lunch at a nice cafe, or with the Venus sextile to Mars, go to an art fair or stroll through your local museums. This is a good weekend to beautify your home space or take up a creative task. Meeting a potential romantic partner is a possibility for some, so go out and enjoy yourself.
Jupiter also brings its exalted benefits to the weekend. I am not saying someone will win the Powerball this weekend, but with Jupiter’s square to Mars, there is the possibility of luck for some. But overall, due to its sextile to the sun and trine to the moon, the energy is upbeat, optimistic and about having a good time.
I think it is important to remember that your own chart will dictate how this weekend plays out for you. This can be a pivotal time that ushers in change, whether positive or challenging, or it can simply be an enjoyable weekend. Keep in mind that transits like the Saturn–Neptune opposition Trump is experiencing are rare. To truly understand what this eclipse means for you, you would need to look at your personal placements alongside the current transits.
With that said, reviewing your horoscopes can offer valuable insight, though they are not the complete picture. Horoscopes focus on the houses and the key transits at play. They provide a strong foundation, but they can’t capture every nuance of your chart. Keep this in mind as you read the horoscopes below, which explore the energy by rising sign.
Eclipse Horoscopes by Rising Sign
The horoscopes are written for rising signs. However, through derivative astrology, you may also find additional insights by reading your Sun and Moon signs. The rising sign will usually be the most accurate, though your personal chart may include placements that shift the overall energy.
Aries Rising
This eclipse highlights your spiritual life and how you can weave mental well-being into your daily routine. If you’re thinking of starting an exercise practice, you may be drawn to something with a soulful component, such as tai chi or yoga. Even if prayer or meditation has never been your thing, this eclipse may nudge you in that direction.
At home, you’re focused on strengthening your most personal relationships. This could be as simple as organizing shared files or the pantry, or as intentional as planning a date night. You’re feeling more love toward those closest to you, and if asked to choose between work and home, home will win.
Taurus Rising
Say yes to invitations this weekend. The eclipse can expand your social circles and eventually bring more opportunities your way. You’re living proof of the old saying: the more people who know you, the more doors that open. Group activities will be especially rewarding, particularly those tied to your local community or the well-being of children.
This is also a wonderful time to play, especially with kids. Even chores around the house can be turned into a game. Get everyone involved and see who can make a room shine the brightest. In the end, it’s about showing love and connection to those you share space with.
Gemini Rising
Yes, my friend, the focus here is on your career. If you aren’t sure of your life path, this eclipse may offer insight. By the time we reach the next eclipse, you could have a clearer sense of direction. Opportunities related to a past endeavor may reappear, or you could be offered a promotion or greater responsibility.
Just be sure to communicate with those at home if work begins to demand more of your time. Share the values these opportunities bring and how they could benefit your role in the community. And don’t forget to celebrate with your loved ones, making it clear they are still your top priority even if the office calls more often.
Cancer Rising
You’ve been craving a change of scenery, and this eclipse encourages you to embrace it. For some, that may mean travel or even a move. For others, it may show up as inspiration to refresh your home with beauty and creative touches.
You’re also more aware of your place in the community. Being out and about will make you feel alive, whether you’re in a bustling city or a quiet town. Take joy in the small details that spark your curiosity. Strike up a conversation at your local café, or take a nature walk and greet the little creatures you encounter along the way.
Leo Rising
If you haven’t been attentive to joint assets or investments, this eclipse could bring matters to the surface. Markets often get volatile in the fall, so it’s a good reminder to put safeguards in place. If you’re unsure how to do that, take time to research or seek professional advice.
Your personal resources may also feel draining, and it could be time to create a plan going forward. Clarity may not come this weekend, but it’s important to value yourself first. That value goes beyond the material. What may be holding you back is a block in recognizing that you are part of the whole and deserving of both love and abundance.
Virgo Rising
Relationships take center stage this weekend. With the full moon illuminating your seventh house, you may look at your partner and feel deeply grateful, or you may feel confined. Don’t make rash decisions now, but know this eclipse could either propel your relationship forward or nudge you to reevaluate if you’re not on the same page.
If you feel uncertain, give yourself a week before expressing it. This eclipse shines a spotlight, but that doesn’t mean everything is clear. When one part of life is so brightly lit, it’s harder to see the rest. Still, you’re craving more than just a surface-level connection. You want a relationship that nourishes mind, body, and soul, and also someone who enjoys the activities and interests you love.
Libra Rising
You’ve been on a transformative path these past months, especially around health and well-being. Perhaps you’ve been committed to a new diet or exercise routine, and now you’re wondering how to sustain it long term. There may be some fear of slipping back into old patterns, and you could be asking yourself what’s holding you back.
Stress is the likely culprit. Incorporating meditation or another spiritual practice can help release the anxiety of everyday life. Even though you’re optimistic at work and getting along well with friends, you still need time to decompress. That way, you won’t be tempted to overindulge or skip healthy routines. The good news is that you’ve been feeling better than you have in a long time, and this eclipse highlights your progress.
Scorpio Rising
This eclipse is about self-expression, whether through creativity or simply doing what brings you joy. Relationships with children may also pivot in a positive way. Though summer is winding down, you may still squeeze in one last barbecue or outdoor gathering. And if you’re sexually active but not looking to expand your family, be mindful, as this could be a fertile time.
In your career, things may feel back on track, with encouraging feedback from superiors. At the same time, you might be craving travel. If your schedule allows, solidify those plans. You may even be drawn to the idea of a spiritual retreat or a transformative “eat, pray, love” type of experience.
Sagittarius Rising
There’s an irony for you right now. Normally you thrive on being outdoors and exploring, but this full moon draws your focus to home and family, especially safety, security, and long-term desires. Nostalgia may be strong this weekend, as you go through family keepsakes or watch old videos.
Even in that sentimental space, you can sense positive changes ahead. You may be reconnecting with former peers or finding luck in long-term investments. Perhaps you took advantage of Labor Day sales for books or supplies, or signed up for a class you’ve always wanted to take. These small steps feed into the bigger picture of growth and stability.
Capricorn Rising
Do you feel like driving around your old neighborhood or revisiting familiar places? With the full moon in your third house, nostalgia is in the air. You may find yourself reflecting on past hangouts, high school days, or how much has changed over the years.
If your partner wasn’t part of your earlier life, you may enjoy sharing those memories with them, taking them on a little tour of your past. You’re also feeling more loving toward your partner, with the past reinforcing how good things are now. At work, you’ve probably been focused on finishing a project before a deadline. Overall, though, this eclipse is helping you appreciate both where you’ve been and where you are today.
Aquarius Rising
You may be drawn to go through family heirlooms, organize jewelry, or take stock of your valuables. Conversations about what to pass down, what to keep, and what to let go of could come up. Part of you wants to honor the past, while another part craves order and simplicity.
Relationships are flowing more smoothly now, and if you’re single, you may be open to love. Travel planning is also highlighted, from itineraries to what you want to pack. Work has kept you busy, but you’re approaching it with more optimism than before. It feels like you’re maturing and growing without constant external crises getting in the way.
Pisces Rising
This full moon is about you, your wants, desires, and happiness. If you haven’t had clarity on those things, this eclipse may deliver a wake-up moment. You may feel like you’re standing at the edge of something new. The weight of the past few years has been heavy, yet you’re entering this moment with a sense of optimism.
For some, this may even be a fertile time for starting a family. If that’s on your mind, the energy is supportive. Of course, it depends on your full chart, but the current house configurations suggest possibility. With or without children, this is a good time to review your investments, update important paperwork, or make changes to ensure your long-term plans reflect your present circumstances.
Recap for the Weekend
Eclipses often bring immediate impact to the world stage, and with this one in water signs, we could see storms or issues connected to water. Beyond unexpected weather, there may also be announcements about leadership, whether political or corporate. For many, though, this is a wonderful weekend to spend with friends and family, capturing the spirit of late summer.
We go through four to eight eclipses every year, and twelve to thirteen full moons each year. Keep this in mind as you read and watch the hype about this weekend. Yes, eclipses are big astrological events, but not every eclipse will directly impact you. Sometimes the effects are so subtle they’re hard to notice, while other times they can be transformative, like when I gave birth the day before an eclipse. Though I somewhat planned on getting pregnant, having my son was monumental in my life. At the time, I thought it was simply part of being married and the natural order of things. But in hindsight, there isn’t a person I have learned more from than him.
That is what full moons are about, understanding what is important to you. It is a light shining on an area of your life, reminding you what to be grateful for during your journey on this crazy planet we call Earth.
