Tantric Practice That Heals Mind and Emotion Fast

Tantric Practice That Heals Mind and Emotion Fast

These practices are delicate yet profound and born of gentleness – they are trauma-informed rituals that ask only of presence.

They may be practiced in solitude or in the tender presence of a loved or trusted one. These gentle rituals are mainly for those whose hearts are filled with anxiety, those who have troubled connecting with their emotions, or whose bodies are so disconnected, they feel more like distant countries….these gentle offerings beckon a soft, loving return. May you incorporate them into your life, and if you want, share in the comments how you felt after practicing them.

  1. De-armoring Through Conscious Touch

Release tension and reconnect with safety in your body

How to do it: Lie down in a quiet space. Place one hand over your heart and the other over your lower belly.

Begin slow, conscious breathing.

Gently press into the belly or chest with your hands, breathing into areas that feel numb or tense.

If emotions arise, let them. Stay with the sensation, not the story.

What it does: Releases stored trauma in tissues and fascia; helps rebuild a sense of safety and connection in the body.

  1. Prana Pulse Breath

Regulate your nervous system and access deeper energy awareness.

How to do it: Sit in a relaxed, upright position.

Inhale slowly through the nose, visualizing energy rising from your root (pelvis) to your heart.

Exhale through the mouth, imagining that energy washing over you.

Add a gentle pelvic pulse (a subtle rocking) as you breathe.

Continue for 5–7 minutes.

What it does: Calms the mind, activates parasympathetic response, and connects breath to the energy body.

  1. Mantra for the Heart Chakra: “Yam”

Clear emotional stagnation and foster forgiveness

How to do it: Sit with your eyes closed. Bring attention to the center of your chest.

Inhale deeply and chant “Yam” (pronounced ‘yum’) on the exhale.

Repeat for 7–21 rounds.

Imagine a soft green light glowing and expanding at your heart.

What it does: Cleanses emotional residue, especially grief or heartbreak, and opens the heart to compassion.

  1. Mirror Gazing (Tantric Eye Gazing)

Strengthen self-love and emotional integration

How to do it: Sit in front of a mirror. Light a candle if desired.

Gaze softly into your own eyes for 5–10 minutes. Let emotions rise.

Repeat silently: “I see you. I accept you. I love you.”

What it does: Confronts the inner critic and helps integrate “shadow” emotions like shame, self-rejection, and fear of being seen.

  1. Sacred Journaling After Practice

Process and reflect with intentional awareness

After any of the above practices, take 10–15 minutes to write in a journal…

What sensations did I feel?

What memories or emotions came up?

What did my body need to express?

What it does: Helps consolidate healing and makes unconscious patterns conscious – similar to therapeutic processing.

When to Practice

Daily: Choose 1 or 2 practices and make them part of your morning or bedtime ritual.

During Emotional Intensity: Use breath and mantra to ground during anxiety or overwhelm.

With a Partner: Eye gazing and co-breathing can help reestablish connection in intimate relationships.
