How Ideological Extremism Is Destroying Hope

Ideological Extremism & Hope

Extremists on the ideological left believe that everything is true. Lacking individuation they operate as a group and think that the mainstream media and government are mostly truthful. They do not think for themselves and operate in a tribal, hive-mind. These individuals must work to form their own ideas and opinions based on their own unique soul. They have to individuate and become their own person in order to evolve.

Forming the opposite pole in society we see extremists on the ideological right who have taken on the position of individuation to its most imbalanced extreme. They are the mirror of the ideological left as they believe that nothing is true. Everything that is created by man is seen as impossibly corrupt and evil.

As a result, they trust no one, and ironically do not see other people as individuals, but rather see most as cogs in the machine of society incapable of, or unlikely to awaken (like they have). This especially applies to people in any position of power. In this way, those within the extreme right dehumanize others who are not like them and see others as incapable of awakening and evolving. This state of arrogance is seductive for them and turns what should be healthy skepticism into deathly cynicism.

There are never any real world solutions from these individuals because they have fallen into an extreme position and must come back into balance to be productive. They have become too paranoid and fearful to see others as human beings and have therefore lost their own humanness. The issue is that if we cannot see each other as human beings capable of incredible change and evolution, we cannot create anything complex and meaningful in society. Hope is not a childish futile force within a human being, hope is holding space, and therefore creating a vacuum, for something greater. It creates a vacuum in which God may enter and provide inspiration and even miracles.

The loss of hope is a rejection of God within one’s self. It is a rejection of Life. There is nothing esoteric, nor truly intellectual, in black pilling people. It is simply the cowardly turning of one’s self away from the Life and hope within them. It is turning their back on God and the potential for God to work through us to change the world.

The first step to transcend either wing of extremism, left or right, is therefore having the courage to develop hope and vision which in turn allows God to enter our lives. Once God enters our life He works through us and the world becomes progressively more in His image. Without hope this kind of inspired future is not possible.
