To continue with our refrigerator analogy from yesterday, if you only kept the items that others liked, what would sustain you? You would find yourself perpetually disappointed every time you opened the door and found no selections that would bring you joy or nourish you in a way you need or prefer.

Further, it is unlikely that the others you prioritized would notice that you didn’t have any of your favorite foods in the fridge because they would only be focused on the selection of things that worked for them.

Now we ask, would they notice if you took equal space for yourself? Not likely, since they would still be geared toward looking for what their preferences were and there would still be plenty of those items that would meet that need.

Dear Ones, unity consciousness serves everyone involved. That means you, too. Taking a fair amount for yourself doesn’t take away from anyone else. If you serve yourself others can still be served, and you will be able to do that from a space of balanced nourishment that will help you be all you can be.

The time for having poor self care practices and then blaming or resenting others for them has come to a close.
