It really is an affront to try to make people into something they are not. Of course, there can be a question of what someone is or isn’t. I am speaking of when someone is naturally open-hearted, and someone sees the person as too open-hearted. There is also the reverse, where someone is tight-fisted with his heart, and someone else decides that he or she must become warmer. Be wary when you see others as too much something and not enough something else.

There are many things My children want from others that may well not be their place to order. Matters of the heart must be left to the heart.

Because you operate in the world one way doesn’t mean that everyone else must operate the way you do. Be cautious about trying to change other people. It is hard enough for you to change yourself.

Because you are a person who loves to socialize doesn’t mean that everyone has to love to socialize. The world also has need of those people you tag as introverted and perhaps consider inferior.

If someone happens to love wearing bright colors and overwhelms your eyes with too much jewelry, welcome them. If you find you cannot welcome them, then at least don’t judge, condemn, or hassle them.

And if someone is too muted and plain, let them be. You are not meant to be the decider of what other people should or should not be like or appear like.

There is room for all styles in the world and all styles in your heart. You can truly enjoy all styles of living. You can do this by letting go of judgment. How free you are when you let go of even the most finite judgments, when you can accept that you are not the ruler, dictator, or soothsayer of the world. How good you will feel to be a commoner among commoners. You will have so much more energy. The Free Will that I give to you, you will pass on to others. What is left then for you to do but to enjoy?

You will have one less decision to make. You will no longer carry the world on your shoulders. You won’t be throwing the world away. You will be welcoming it. You will be free to welcome it, the rich and the poor, the shabby and the elite, the tall and the short.

When you think of all the judgments you have made in the past, don’t you now begin to feel…to feel…to feel, well, even silly?

It’s not that you think less of yourself now. Now you just have nothing to prove. No longer do you make comparisons with swelling pride in yourself. No longer do you have so much clutter. Now your life is simpler and really more elegant. This elegance is far more desirable than conclusions you draw about others.

Also, dear ones, no longer look at yourself armed so with so many bullets either. Give yourself a break too. You have criticized yourself up and down and back and forth. Give yourself credit as well for being who you are and as you are. So what, all these things you badger yourself about. Say to yourself: ”So what this, and so what that?” Free yourself from improvement. When you free yourself from criticism, see how you will soar. You will let go of imposing standards on yourself, and you will rise higher because you no longer press yourself down.

What is depression but not coming up to all the standards you have imposed on yourself? Probably you impose impossible standards upon your self. No longer impose your standards upon others either. Learn to encourage others rather than decimate. Let My people go.

Let Me say this: You don’t have to be anything but what you are, what you already are. Will you rise higher? Yes, yes, you will. You will rise higher when you get out of the habit of keeping yourself and others down. That’s what you have been doing. Unclamp yourself. Unclamp others. Let yourself and others just be. No longer will you impose your standards upon others. Simply, together, you will rise.
