The Ego and Illusion

The ego doesn’t know how to make sense of daily happenings. Pay careful attention to any reactivity, and there’s your evidence.

If ego knew how to guide you smoothly, there wouldn’t be a need for reaction. Ego claims it knows, but now you remember that ego can only mislead back into the fear loop. True knowing is something for you to accept and share.

You don’t require any special circumstances to go into the mind. You only require the ability to look and to notice. Beneath the noisy layer of cause and effect lies peace and joy that never left. It is a simple refocusing toward what you have been ignoring for a while.

When you notice reactivity, there is also a phantom mind structure you believe to be real. Your true identity and the identity of all others are not entangled in this phantom structure. It is safe to allow it to be replaced by awareness of what is real. Refocus from illusion to truth, and all perceptual mistakes are cleared up—not fixed by you.

Refocusing on Truth

The only problem you ever have is seeing things incorrectly. You don’t have to fix a daydream—you simply know it isn’t real. The source of correction is within you and all you see. Look toward what is joined, for that is what you all are together. Put innocence in charge, and everyone’s part will be made clear.

You want to go in the direction of being saved from what you have made, not tinkering with it. What you have made is nothing and has no significance. It is safe to let it pass away. Here you are, in the fullness of what remains when illusion has gone—your true essence and the divine presence in everything. Nothing real can pass away, so you are safe in letting the unreal go.

True Safety in Sameness

Nothing real can be hurt or affected in any way. That is why it is safe to release fear and focus on your true safety in sameness. We stand steady with you, looking toward the constancy within. We laugh with you as what never was disappears, and as you remember what is truly here.
