Here in the North Country it was well into the fall season but as Snowy Owl and Shooting Star climbed the path to the Star Temple the warm rays from Grandfather Sun made it feel like late summer. Even the Winged Ones had not left yet for warmer climates. Even though the sisters appreciated the warmth they also knew everything was out of balance. They were anxious to receive Sister Moon’s message to help them understand why the energy was so unusual.

As the young women settled in the Star Temple they heard the rush of many wings. Four Winged Ones entered the Sacred Space and each one found a branch of a Standing One that surrounded the Temple to perch on. Sister Moon began to speak “these Winged Ones are the spirit guides for this Moon cycle. The focus is on being in authentic relationship with integrity and truthfulness. That begins with being honest with self. This New Moon asks you to create a new relationship vision to life that honours the Sacredness of All and the Sacredness Within. I will let each of these Totems share with you the gifts they bring to guide you for this Moon cycle.” 

Falcon spoke first “my gift is clarity and inspiration as you walk your Earth Path in a new way”. Then Hawk spoke next “my gift is to awaken you to the spiritual messages from Great Mystery that are always guiding your path. Most often you forget to listen to the guidance and be open to its wisdom”. From his perch in the Standing One he chose Crow cawed “my gift is to remind you of Sacred Law. Justice and fairness for all is the key to balance and harmony. Equality is a Universal birthright for All That IS”. And finally Raven spoke “I teach you to enter The Mysteries and not be afraid of the magic you will find. It is there that you will discover your Soul Essence Self and learn to listen to the wise guidance it offers”.

When the Winged Ones had shared their gifts Sister Moon spoke again. “This Moon cycle is about finding balance and harmony within and sharing that peace with the world. In the far away time there is much conflict and turmoil in the human kingdom. Separation from the Sacred is the dominant factor. This Moon cycle and the Spirit Guides working with you will remind you, as Raven said, to discover your Soul Essence Self and become Wayshowers for others. Love and peace to all as you begin this journey to Wholeness.”

As Snowy Owl and Shooting Star left the Star Temple they made a commitment to helping others on the path to inner balance and harmony.  

Libra is the sign of partnership and committed relationship. Its astrological symbol is the Scales. Libra seeks balance. Its key phrase is “I Balance”. Its keyword is “Harmony”. This Libra New Moon cycle is a search for balance and harmony in all our relating, including the relationship to self. The planet that traditionally rules this Libra Moon cycle is Venus. She is currently at 06 degrees Libra and she too is seeking balance and harmony in relationship. But she is in a Square aspect with the asteroid Juno (committed relationships) at 10 degrees Capricorn (self responsibility) and the asteroid Astraea at 11 degrees Capricorn (Goddess of justice and inner balance). Squares ask us to find new ways of doing things. Juno and Astraea are travelling with Pluto at 16 degrees Capricorn (transforming society). In turn Pluto is Square (motivation for change) the asteroid Vesta at 15 degrees Libra (commitment to creating harmony in relationship). Remember Squares are challenging but as we said also motivation for change. Change is most definitely needed in the human world at this timing.

The Soul Centered ruler of all the Libra energies is Uranus currently at 26 degrees Aries traveling with the Earth also at 26 degrees Aries (our individual Earth walk). He is exactly opposite (polarity) the Libra Sun/Moon at 26 degrees Libra. Uranus is called the Awakener. He is asking us to awaken our authentic self (Aries) and break free from old relationship patterns that prevent us from being empowered in our lives. This is a powerful opposition and can create issues of rebellion and chaos if we are not balanced within ourselves. But I also believe the current sexual abuse exposure in the US entertainment industry is Uranus supporting us to say “we are not going to take this anymore”. Social media has thousands of individuals using the hashtag #ME TOO showing this is not just an issue in the entertainment industry but in society as a whole. Uranus is traveling with the Dwarf planet Eris at 23 degrees Aries (purposeful action). Mars is the traditional ruler for Aries. He is at 28 degrees Virgo (spiritual healing) opposite Chiron at 25 degrees Pisces (healing the world wound). Chiron is inconjunct (adjustment and release) the New Moon. The Soul Centered ruler for Aries is Mercury currently at 03 degrees Scorpio (exposing secrets and lies). Mercury is traveling with Jupiter at 02 degrees Scorpio (fairness and justice). This Moon cycle is going to be dramatic to say the least. The theme is “breaking the chain of pain”.

As our story told us we have four Winged Ones guiding us. In the Northern Hemisphere Crow and Raven for the Libra New Moon and Falcon and Hawk for Uranus and Earth in Aries. (They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere). Our Clan Mother guide for this New Moon is Weaves The Web. (The 13 Original Clan Mothers). She is the Creatress who brings visions into reality. She teaches us to create new from the old and How to Work With The Truth. The Clan Mother for Eris, Uranus, and the Earth in Aries is Looks Far Woman. She is the guardian of the Crack in the Universe and the Golden Door of Illumination. She teaches us to See The Truth. As you can see the theme for this Libra New Moon (and Venus in Libra) is justice and fairness for all. But it is also about being in relationship in a new way that personally empowers us whatever we are experiencing.

This Libra New Moon activates the Tarot Constellation of The High Priestess, balanced judgment through intuitive awareness. When we listen to our inner knowing we make decisions that empower us. Libra is a 3^rd Ray sign, Divine Mind and Active Intelligence. Our Archangel guides for this Moon cycle are Chamuel, healing through Divine Love, and Charity, gratitude and joy.

Use this Moon cycle to create harmony and balance in your life. You will need it as we head into Scorpio territory when the Sun visits the sign of intensity Oct 22/23 to Nov 21/22.

I want to dedicate this New Moon to Gord Downie, the lead singer of the Canadian rock band the Tragically Hip. He is singer, songwriter, poet, and story teller. He was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour in May 2016. He passed into spirit a few days ago on Oct 17 as Mercury and Jupiter met in Scorpio (death, transformation, and rebirth). He recently received an Eagle Feather (spiritual power) to honour his focus for justice for First Nations peoples. His sacred name given to him by an aboriginal tribe here in Ontario is “man who walks among the stars”.  Enough said. His Light is ever shinning. Thank you Star Walker.
