Years ago we wrote a story about how Creator and Great Mystery were searching for a place where they could experience the compassionate heart. A little blue and green planet with a pink aura called out “pick me, OH PLEASE pick me.” And so Gaia was born and humanity was created.

The experiment is still ongoing.  Each human was given the Divine Flame of the compassionate heart and Loving kindness. Some have forgotten to live in that vibration.

This Leo New Moon cycle is asking each of us to remember to be Loving Kindness and be centered in our compassion heart for all life. When Venus (love and harmony) first entered Leo on June 05 she initiated this journey. When she turned retrograde in Leo on July 22/23 the Sun entered Leo and Chiron, the healer, in Aries also went retrograde asking us to journey to our deepest self and relight our Divine Flame. On August 13 when Venus met the Sun she became the Leo Morning Star and asks us to continue the journey of compassion and loving kindness. As Morning Star she leads the way for the next few months.

This New Moon is located at 23 degrees Leo 17 minutes and is travelling with Venus retrograde at 18 degrees Leo 39. They are trine (ease and flow) retrograde Chiron at 19 degrees Aries 43 (healing and problem solving) and the North Node at 26 degrees Aries 55 (new inspired direction). They are also sextile the South Node at 26 degrees Libra 55 (new opportunities to be in relationship in harmony and balance to others and self). They are also sextile Vesta (keeper of the Sacred Flame) at 21 degrees Gemini 10 (healing duality and uniting in love).

But Venus and the New Moon are square Jupiter at 14 degrees Taurus 58 and Uranus at 23 degrees Taurus 00. Squares are motivation for change and finding new ways of doing things. This one asks us to break through to what is of true value and importance and grow and expand our vision. This will be emphasised when Uranus turns retrograde on Aug 28/29 and Jupiter follows on Sept 04. Venus is the guide for Taurus and she and Jupiter trade places as she moves in direct motion on Sept 03/04 (depending on your time zone). But she still carries her retrograde shadow energy until Oct 06. So inner work is still the theme.

We have help to do the inner work during this Leo New Moon cycle and beyond. Mercury is at 19 degrees Virgo 30 travelling with Pallas Athene at 17 degrees Virgo 00 and Mars at 22 degrees Virgo 53. Pallas is the Goddess of wisdom, Mercury is our thoughts and perceptions, and Mars is action. Together in Virgo they are offering us the opportunity to heal mind, body, and spirit into wholeness. They are trine (removal of obstacles) Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus and Pluto Rx at 28 degrees Capricorn 32 creating a Grand Earth trine (break through and transformation for each of us and Mother Earth). The Sun enters Virgo on Aug 23 continuing the healing journey and Mercury will turn retrograde on Aug 23/24 at 21 degrees Virgo 51. If you are feeling the need to change your thoughts and change your life that will be the theme until he moves direct Sept 15 at 08 degrees Virgo 00. His retrograde shadow began on Aug 04 so we are already in the energy. He clears his retrograde shadow on Sept 30. While in Virgo he activates the Tarot Constellation of The Hermit, introspection and personal integrity. His spiritual guide is Retrograde Chiron in Aries (healing and being your true self).

At this New Moon, the Earth is at 23 degrees Aquarius 17 travelling with the Goddess of health and healing, Hygeia, retrograde at 16 degrees Aquarius 24. They activate the Tarot Constellation of strength, courage of your convictions, connecting to your inner strength, courage to be yourself, and strengthening your connection to Creator and Great Mystery. Venus as Leo Morning Star also carries this theme. Our Animal Totem guide for Leo is Salmon, strength and determination to create the new. And for Aquarius we are guided by Otter, companionship and joyful sharing. They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere. They also guide the Leo Morning Star.

The Clan Mother who guides Leo is She Who Heals. She is the keeper of the healing arts and all rites of passage. She is the guardian of the Eternal Flame of Love. For Aquarius we are guided by Clan Mother Wisdom Keeper. She is the guardian of Earth records and planetary memory. She is the keeper of friendships and honouring others sacred points of view. In Esoteric Astrology this New Moon and the Venus Morning Star journey are active on the 5^th Ray of knowledge and healing. The Archangels who guide us are Raphael, the shinning one who heals, and Mary, divine love and acceptance. Call on them and they will guide you on your journey.
