2023 The Sun visits Virgo 23 Aug to 23 Sept and Mercury is retrograde 23 Aug to 15 Sept

When Mars, the planet of action, entered Virgo on July 10 he activated the Tarot Constellation of The Hermit, introspection and personal integrity.

The theme is looking within and journeying to your inner universe to discover your sacred work and your connection to Source for guidance as you share your healing wisdom. When Mercury entered Virgo on July 28 he asked us all to focus on that theme in a conscious way. While he is retrograde in Virgo Aug 23 (3.59 pm EDT) to Sept 15 (4.21 pm EDT) it is a “Looking Within Time”. The Hermit holds a lantern to light up the path ahead but he is looking over his shoulder at the past. What do you need to heal and release from the past so you can move forward? That is the Mercury retrograde question. On Aug 04 Mercury entered his retrograde shadow initiating this healing journey. He clears his shadow Sept 29/30.

The Sun enters Virgo Aug 23 at 5.01 am EDT and the astrological Earth enters Pisces continuing the vibration of The Hermit. On a physical material level Virgo is seen as a practical analytical problem solver who seeks perfection. But spiritually she is the holist healer who guides us to mind, body, spirit balance and healing into wholeness. Pisces is the dreamer, the artist, the poetic Soul longing for mystical union. Pisces is the Oneness. Together they offer us the gift of healing, release, and completion. Again that is the theme of this solar cycle in Virgo.

Our Animal Spirit guide for Virgo is Brown Bear, introspection, healing and The Healer. For Pisces we are guided by Cougar, spiritual power, and Wolf, the teacher who guides us through change. They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere. They also guide the Mercury retrograde journey. The Clan Mother for Virgo is Setting Sun Woman. She is the guardian of tomorrow’s dreams, goals, and vision. She teaches us to Live Our Truth. For Pisces we are guided by Weighs The Truth. As I write this post our back garden is being unearthed. We are having to replace the septic tank and the contractor has discovered unforeseen obstacles. But today (Aug 22) the Moon is in Scorpio (what lies beneath) so that is not surprising. Our two German Shepherds are continually running from the front door to the back door trying to find a way to get out so they can help dig. During this challenging time a little bit of humour is required. This situation is why this post is short.
