Does Change Drive You Crazy?

Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better. ~ King Whitney Jr.
Spring does not come early here in the mountains of northwestern Wyoming. But the daffodils have finally begun to show their pretty faces.
Yesterday our weather was bright, sunny, and warm. In fact, it got so warm in the afternoon I had to turn on my air conditioning. Even in midsummer around here we don’t always need air conditioning. But this is mid-April!
This morning I awoke to find the temperature had plummeted overnight, to well below freezing. The wind was howling, and there was close to a foot of snow on the ground!

Dramatic weather changes are not unusual around here. But, in all the years I’ve lived in Wyoming, I don’t recall anything that dramatic.
I remember a secretary we had in our office many years ago. She was a delightful young lady. But any time we made changes in our office routine, big or small, she would go nuts. As she told me once, “I can’t stand change.”
All this reminds me of the huge changes happening all over our planet today. There has always been change. The inevitability of change is the one thing that never changes. But today those changes are increasingly faster and bigger.
Many folks are struggling with change. Some are even choosing to leave the planet rather than face changes in their lives.
Spirit
Change is the only constant in your lives on Planet Earth. Change is a constant throughout the universe. Even here in the realms of Spirit, we experience continual change.
The “bottom line?” You cannot escape change. Ever. “Dead” or “alive,” change is your constant companion. It cannot be otherwise.
Now we realize some changes can appear “bad” to your human eyes and minds. But that’s always an illusion. All change is good, and it is always for your highest good. No exceptions.
We urge you to see change for what it really is — a clear sign you are growing. The faster and greater the changes, the faster and greater your growth.
Look for the joy in the changes. As you say, look for the silver lining in the clouds.
Once you embrace and learn to love change, seeing it for what it truly is, you will find your lives becoming more and more peaceful and joyful. And filled with more adventure and fun.
Face change fearlessly and embrace it joyously.

Here’s the legendary Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc., giving us some great advice about change — and about other issues that matter deeply to all of us.
In the early 1980s, John took a spiritual development course and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides. Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.” Source
