Sananda: The Moment to Halt Everything

My heart is always filled with joy, every time I can be here, a little closer to your hearts.
Today I want to talk about a light but very important topic – self-care.
Many of you have become accustomed to always looking out for others, taking care of others, taking on tasks that are often someone else's; because they had an immense need for acceptance, to be loved, to be needed. This was the way you found to be part of someone's life, to be important to someone; and inside your mind, think that you would be loved more if you did all this.
I believe that today you have already learned that this is not Love. This type of action to receive Love does not work, because human beings are not like that. Few are those who are actually grateful for everything they receive from other people. Giving yourself to others, caring for others, is something that has to be light and easy, because if it becomes heavy, difficult, suffering, this care is wrong; This caring is excessive, it is not coming from the heart. It's more of an obligation than an actual feeling of help.
And why am I saying all this? Because within this whole process, in which you donate, donate, do for others, help others, take care of others, you forget about yourself. The main being in your life is yourself; there is no other. We can say that there are priorities; and the first priority of every human being is to take care of themselves. Because if you don't take care of yourself, at some point the return will come, the bill will come. And then, you will discover that you are sicker than you imagine, who need help, care, attention, more than you know.
But then you ask yourselves: “How am I going to do it? I have to take care of so many people. I have so many commitments, I have so many things to do. How am I going to stop?” And they don't stop. And that process that often started small, becomes chronic, becomes acute, becomes a big problem. What is the solution?
I understand that it is not easy, because you have taken on so many things that today you can no longer delegate; they can't stop. But I would say there is always a key point in all of this. There are day-to-day tasks, each person’s responsibility. So why not let everyone take care of their own tasks? Start there, letting each person do what is their responsibility, leaving everyone to follow their own path. I guarantee this will help you a lot.
Second point: set limits. When someone comes…, “Can you do this for me? Oh, I’m sorry, it won’t work today.” Know how to say no. You don't need to be rude, brute, no. Just apologize, which, by the way, would not be necessary, because it is not entirely your responsibility, and say that you cannot do it.
Share tasks that are not yours with the real owners. No one will love you more because you do everything for them. Don't have this illusion.
Third point: have moments to stop. Create moments of stopping in your day. And what are stopping moments? That moment when you look at the sky, look at the movement on the street, look at a plant, pet a plant, talk to a plant, play with your animals, play with your children. “Ah, but I work, I don’t have that downtime” Everyone does. Find 5 minutes. I guarantee you that if you explain this to your boss, you need those 5 minutes to regain your energy. At first he won't like it very much, but then he will start to notice that you have changed in your work, that you are more attentive; he will notice that you are much more productive, taking these small breaks.
Learn to make them respect you. “Ah, there’s more of that here.” “No, I can’t assume anything else.” Don't take on more than you can. Prioritize. Establish times for each thing. When I said here once: Don't plan. Because planning is living in the future, forgetting to live in the present. So, live intensely, each task in the present moment. Forget what's ahead. You chose that task to do, just focus on it. Forget the rest.
I have your spiritual moment. I will tell you this: the spiritual moment is not doing 10 meditations, 30 prayers, talking, talking, talking; no. A spiritual moment is to be silent. It's simply sitting, connecting with your Divine Presence; and stay there, still. Of course you won't make it. Because your head will keep saying: “With so much to do and you’re sitting there, thinking about I don’t know what.” Forget the ego. The ego is not the physical body.
So, learn to take this moment, gradually. The first week, stay a minute. Just a minute. Set an alarm clock, an alarm, whatever you have, so you don't worry about opening your eyes to check the time. Close your eyes, breathe deeply during this time. Put on some background music. And always use the same music. This is important because the brain will start to realize: “Hmm, every time she puts on this song, she stops.” And he himself, by himself, will begin to stop.
So start in the first week, one minute. In the second week, two minutes. Do you realize that it is not fast and that it is not easy? Shutting your mind is extremely difficult. And it will be at that moment, when you make this stop, that all your guides, your masters, will be around you. No need to ask. We will be there, taking care of you. Because at that moment you are saying to us: “Look, I stopped. I’m taking care of myself!” And we will be there, taking care of you too. Bringing energy, cleansing your aura. Why are you giving yourself that time.
Do you understand? You are doing nothing, just breathing, and resting, for that time. And little by little, you increase this time. And I would say, until when? How long? As long as you can. A time that is comfortable, pleasant. Nothing can be forced. As long as your body allows. You can do it lying down. “Ah, but I’m going to sleep!” Look at the concern. What if I sleep? What's the problem? You will be penalized for this. Will anyone complain that you slept? Let him complain. Did you fail to do something for someone? Let this someone take over. “Ah, but I have small children” Do it after they sleep. Because no one needs to take care of adults. With some exceptions, I understand. But do it at a time when no one will need you.
So, if you sleep, take a good nap, relax. It’s a sign that the body is saying, “I need this.” Try it. Try this time to shut your mind. Put on some music and let yourself be carried away by it. Let the music drive every cell in your body. And the mind will tend to shut up. Why will you be telling her: “I want you to shut up” Who is in charge? And you.
Take care of yourself, my sons and daughters. And I say more; This time will be very important for your bodies to change. Take that time for transformation. And start observing all the changes that will happen. Believe this. You will realize.
