This Rare Venus-Chiron Stretch Invites Deep Relational Repair

This season stretches a usually brief Venus-Chiron opposition into nearly four months of relational and self-worth work. Venus retrograde keeps the conversation circling until something actually shifts. Listen for where love still aches and where dignity wants to return.

Hello! This week, the aspect of Venus opposite Chiron is exact; but it's only one of several peak periods in a broader cycle.

In archetypal astrology, we use 10-degree orbs of influence for world transits. In the case of Venus opposite Chiron, this means the transit is active from the moment Venus moves into a 10° opposition to Chiron — and remains active until Venus leaves the orb for the final time.

If this idea of orbs feels elusive, don't worry — all you need to know is this: a transit lasts over a phase of time rather than simply the day it's exact. Orbs help us determine how long or short that phase may be.

Typically, Venus opposite Chiron is a brief transit (1-2 weeks). But this year, Venus' retrograde occurs closely opposite Chiron — making the transit last nearly 4 months!
