Ancient Origins and Hidden History
Written by James McConnell
The Creation Reading is “A Study of The Origins of Man and His Prehistory as Explained Via the Unconscious Mind of Ray Standford”
This is One of Four parts. Study each part to attempt to understand our existence in the Earth and why we are the image of God, rather than made in the image of God. This is an exciting and great revelation for those that wish to know more and study more in regard to our origins and our entrance into our Earth.
A Study of The Origins of Man and His Prehistory - Part 1
Ray Stanford, pondering the imponderable. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Now we see the streams of man’s comprehension throughout all ages and times and generations. We see these that lead back, back, back in the wheel of experience which man calls time, focusing toward that called the present in an attempt to comprehend and to understand the genesis of his existence in the world. And yet we have the word as given.
God is not mocked. Man seeks to understand himself, to know the manner in which he entered into the world, into the experience called the world that is constantly changing and always is the same. God is not mocked. Man seeks to understand himself, his entry into the world. Man does not understand that which was given. God is not mocked.
Will you come fully, should you come fully into an understanding of your existence into the world at the level of understanding at this level of comprehension in the three -dimensional phase or three -dimensional plane, God would be mocked. So it is destined that man must first come in the experience to know God, then himself. Otherwise, God is mocked.
For man is the image of God, not in the image of God. Man is the image of God. Hence, to comprehend in his conscious mind the process of entry of identity as the image of God, we would have a duplication, a mocking. God is not mocked.
Hence from the beginning we will never have and there never will be a comprehension fully of the experience of that called man’s separation from God and man’s entry into the phases of manifested experience until man first has realized God and then comes to an understanding of God’s image which here from this plane is called man. Something, however, can be grasped.
The manifested history of this called man and the earth can be discussed. Somewhat of a mental image of man’s part in this experience can be discussed. The very Genesis, however, can never be. Those who idly say God found himself one and divided himself that he might find fullness in the presence of loneliness, only reflect the image of man into God and seek to mock God who is not mocked.
Therefore, we find the need of patience in the experiences to understand oneself. We find in this world as many who do not believe in God or man’s relationship to God because of the incompatibility of those explanations given for man’s departure from God, with even a logical deduction from man’s experience in the earth or in the mind.
Such minds, however, confuse themselves only with the limitations of their own existence. They are, however, no more deluded than those who tell of God’s loneliness and the moving out of himself. Man will come to know God and then the mystery of his varied manifestations of individualized consciousness. Man has come and entered the earth for a purpose. Contrary, somewhat too many teachings that have been given to help the world, man did not accidentally become lost in the world.
He did not accidentally seal himself away from his Source, and he need not reject his existence here in grope and blindness for an unknown Source. No, it was the nature of man’s spiritual being to enter this experience called the earth. It was the nature of his existence that he should be identified as the created rather than as the Creator.
But where from this delusion? How can you, in your own minds, call it delusion to have had in your nature the tendency to come into the earth when you do not understand your existence? Those who talk otherwise, again, do not understand.
Knowing Why We Are Here - Part 2
We begin to glimpse the nature of man’s entry into the earth when we begin to comprehend the result of his sojourn in the earth, he is here to develop and to evolve and to manifest, at an individual level, those attributes which, in his mind, he considers Godly. He is here to manifest the fullness of Love in the presence of individuality. This may be considered, and yet it is not as comprehended, the terminus (the final point in space or time) of man’s existence in this plane. He is here to make love manifest as an individual, which will contradict the postulates(suggest, assert, assume) of his temporal (relating to sequence of time) existence, and yet will be in accord with that mind out of which such identities came into existence.
We hear of Adam. What do we, as man, know of the existence here of the first man? Do not misinterpret. The mind here cannot fully comprehend and do not try. The first man is the “man-not-a-man,” but a being, a force, a consciousness, a being universal, related to that which we call Love. Love from this plane can only be explained as the unity of Being that is all things from this plane in the beginning. Love from the present plane of cognizance (awareness) now that we have the entry of the Christ into the earth, can be explained as the unity of Beingness expressed cognitively (with awareness) in the experience of a being, which from the postulates (suggest, assert, assume) of man’s existence in the three -dimensional plane, contradicts his very existence, for it realizes the oneness of all creation!
Ah, you have pondered the meaning of that which was given through another, the meaning of one called “Amelius.”
From this plane, there in him, (Edgar Cayce), as in all others, it is ever difficult, so difficult, to relay these concepts and these words, where they are comprehended in the three -dimensional mind, in the mind of three -dimensional consciousness. Thus, room for confusing concepts has crept in, for illusory explanations in the mind of one channel here and another there groping for that which can never really be manifested in words, that which is the Word Itself.
“Amelius.” To ameliorate is to lift up, to regenerate, and to make better or more complete. The being, then, the consciousness of Love, unconscious of itself, that drew man as a being and thence as a race into the world is exemplified by that one word- Amelius. For the whole existence, the whole process therein, in that entry, was that that Love, unconscious of itself, should become self -conscious. That Love should become self -conscious. That Love, the universal, should be expressed as Love, the finite, remembering its existence and its origin, but “ameliorated” because of this process.
That amelioration has not yet been fulfilled. A new aspect of its fulfillment came about, the beginning of its fulfillment more fully, as the manifested plane came to pass with the entry of that Christ Consciousness in one called Jesus of Nazareth. It has not, however, been fulfilled. It has not descended to earth completely. When it does, man will become that for which this Consciousness called Amelius entered the earth.
We have seen attempts to individualize this consciousness, but the very function of this consciousness in its entry in the earth was for the process of individualization of that which was its existence. Amelius, therefore, was not a man, but became a man in E-manu-el (God in Man) in Jesus. It was necessary that one consciousness should become sufficiently identified with its nature, and yet individualized in the world as to manifest this just discussed before man as a race could even begin to approach the throne of grace and the scepter of Godhood. Amelius, therefore, is unlimited. Amelius is as the race of man.
Some have said that the uniqueness of Christ as Jesus was that a man became conscious of God, that an individual became conscious of God. But we would now give a greater significance, that God became conscious as an individual. This is why you are in the earth, not to become conscious of God, for you were that before entering the earth. Not that as many religions and peoples believe, that God would become conscious as man, that God would become an individual. There is a difference. One is a transformation and amelioration, the purpose in which He entered. The other is, well, merely returning the pancake to its batter.
Understanding The Process Of Entry Into The Earth - Part 3
Ah, but how did this come to pass? How can we understand the existence of man in a body as it relates to that which has been observed in the earth called evolution at the physical level?
Now, at this time, we would not have you comprehend the beginnings of existence in this called the physical universe. This is not needed at the present time. However, in this called present age, man will begin to discover scientifically, consciously, intellectually, deductively, logically, and then intuitively, that which will bring him closer and ever closer to a comprehension of the origins, not only of physical forms and of the evoluted forms in the earth, but of matter itself, of space itself. This will come to pass. We need not give a full understanding of this here, but merely touch upon it.
Understand, however, that in the infinity of existence is that called the universe, infinite possibilities, and hence infinite probabilities exist. And before the entry into the earth of man, not as a race, but as a consciousness called Amelius, there already existed in a plane of consciousness of which man was unfamiliar, the spatial or skeletal, or if you will have it, eventually the physical existence of that which we call the Earth and countless other planets. There also existed beings in consciousness and spirits unrelated and yet related to the existence of the particular aspect of God which we call “us” in the earth. Through these forces the earth as a skeletal structure, as a bodily structure, in a sense as a physical form, moved and evolved. It was the nature of matter itself, and its origins, which we will not discuss, to become more complex and more complex until, much like unto the spirit of man, the infinite should manifest in the finite. Do not try to comprehend in the mind how this can be said, believing all to be of God. Have some faith, for God is not mocked.
We have before us the world in its movement of consciousness, the evolution of forms in the earth, the elements first within the earth, the ethers themselves, the gases, the airs, the beings and spiritual forms of consciousness, (incomprehensible at present to man,) associated therewith; the solid forms, the combinations of the gaseous and the more dense, the fires, (the exchanges of the gaseous with the solid,) the liquids, the fluids, and the solids themselves. And from the combination of these active forces we see the eventual evolution of physical forms, unrelated in this consciousness, which we call man, yet related also, but moving on their own.
We see the emergence of forms from the unicellular and multicellular level, eventually the aquatic creatures, the amphibians, the reptiles, those which could fly, those which crept in the earth, and those finally which became more and more erect, as though being drawn upward by some invisible force, becoming the proto-anthropoids, the common evolutionary ancestors of man, and the anthropoids. These things came to pass in the evolution of the earth sphere before the entry of man as a spiritual being. Devic consciousness, spirits, and beings, unakin to our nature and yet necessary in the preparation of the earth, moved as a great celestial chord. Melody, harmony, then rhythm moved across the face of the deep. Forms took their appearance, the elements themselves seeking to become self -conscious.
And then, as the moment was right, that consciousness which you will not begin to comprehend, which we have called Amelius, because of its tendency to enter the earth that it might bring amelioration, causing God to become conscious as an individual, drew near, nearer, nearer, nearer as a great wave of sound and color and love from the solar orb itself. It came about the earth as a stranger and yet familiar, that which in a sense was needed and yet that which was not part of it.
A strangeness crept over the deep. A new aura, a new consciousness of light and Being enclosed the earth as a great mantle of fire and light and sound. And in its own unconsciousness every physical being within the earth became alerted. There was a great exchange of consciousness between these, and that which might be termed “love unconscious of itself” drew near to the earth, to that which as the Divine Mother in nature would eventually enable it as God’s blessing in the face of existence to become conscious of itself.
Oh, if man could but see and know and remember that moment, which was as an infinite age and yet a moment, as consciousness came and enclosed and caressed the earth. And even in its unconsciousness, so to speak, it found the earth beautiful. And as it, in its unconsciousness, became aware of the individual forms in the earth, its being was drawn down as a great mantle, and the individual threads of that mantle, caught and unraveled, brought down and wrapped around near, nearer, ever so near to the forms of individual existence, until there was a sort of individuality, a sort of vague sense of existence in the universe as an isolated thing. Yet it held its nature and became conscious, in a sense. of existence in space, but not comprehending the limitations of that existence, for it was not limited in the way in which we know limitation as an objective thing.
Then it became of the ethers themselves, and then of the gases. Ah, to feel the very existence of individualized atomic creation, an individualized thing caressing that half-existing and half-unresolute in the bosom of creation. The air, the elements of gas, caressed its being, and something within it said, “I am air.” A motion, an ebb and flow came into existence in the consciousness which was not yet man. Then, beholding the air, threads of its mantled existence unraveled and built about, almost in the sense as a cocoonhovering over that which was to come forth, the air itself.
There was an awareness of existence and movement in that air and in the inanimate creatures and beings moving in the air, those strange creatures which could fly in the air, reptile -like, yet those which could fly and those creatures which had literal feathers. There was not a full identity with these, but a sense of hovering about them and moving with them, a sense of air moving about them.
Then, at one moment, the air seemed in a sense to be caught and absorbed by the very breathing in plant life, absorbed and oxidized, and by the very elements which even then manifested that process of oxidation called fire, the combination of air and the elements of gas with the denser. Man began to perceive the strange light which somehow reminded it of its source in the sun and drew near and felt the burning, in a sense the yearning of the gas to reach the solid and combine with it, and yet the solid to exchange and be lifted up into gas. And the being that was not yet man became conscious in fire, and took on those characteristics that may be called fire.
Then again he moved and became aware. “What is this into which I have come?”
Becoming more and more self -conscious, and yet not so. Then it seemed not to expand, but to move and yet hold its solidity, a closer aspect to awareness of individualized existence in atoms and elements; It felt the sense of liquid movement and became a part of that which was the beginning of the soul. The liquid caressed the earth, felt its warmth and its coolness, and became aware of its need in the earth for its own existence, lest it dissolve in space itself.
And then the being that was not yet man became aware of the earth and the solid, of its character and consciousness, and granted in itself an awareness, in a sense, of the individual as the solid and in the temporally immobile.
Now there came a yearning for that which seemed to move across the earth, that which was more consciously mobile. The memory of man was drawn upward once again into the elements to perceive that which it had first encountered as a movement, into the creatures that flew in the air. Now aware of the gaseous elements in fire, and fluid and earthly and solid consciousness, it can now become aware of an animation of that, of that solid in the air. It hovered about, being aware more individually now of matter itself, rather than just the sense of movement of matter in the air. Eventually, it became aware of itself. It felt the bodily fluids coursing through the veins, the assimilation of earthy and food substance, and it became a flying creature.
And yet it held a part of that consciousness of itself; that which did not fully comprehend the solid in real nature here, remained somewhat. By thought, it could dissolve the forms into which it had entered, and then recreate them in colors and forms unimaginable. Throughout time that cannot be comprehended, man’s soul (it already had become as such,) moved in that awareness as the creatures of the air. This physical plane was not objective then, as you know it, but subjective. And man moved in and out of it, creating as within a dream, identified with that of the dream and yet was not really, not fully it.
Then it became aware of the need to move upon the earth and to manifest a consciousness of others in its presence. It became aware of objects, of things, and of other creatures. That which manifested the closest characteristics in its temperament to make others aware of itself in some ways by its appearance, but especially in its ferociousness, even with a great roar, attracted the consciousness that was not yet man but that in some ways was a bird in flight. And this strange being, a part of the soul of man, beheld the creatures of feline evolution and identified with their fiery nature. But as it was partly identified as a bird of the air, and since this world at the plane of physical consciousness was yet subjective as a dream, for this being only dreamed into the world, it caused these feline creatures to have wings. Not only did they walk upon the earth and make others conscious of their roar and sound; they flew in the air!
Ah, how strange but how beautiful, man’s consciousness seeking to become aware of existence. We see these in the memory of man in legends. Thus the lion and its aggressive characteristics became a portion of the soul of man. Encountering other creatures for its own existence, it sought to become aware of that which, in a sense, became its food, to become aware of the experience of those other creatures which were flesh and blood.
Now he became aware of those which seemed most active and self -conscious: the proto -anthropoids. Then that soul in man entered into those hairy creatures that stood somewhat erect. Yet being somewhat identified with the creatures of the air and the lion or the tiger of the forest, he built within man certain characteristics as he dreamed into him as a soul (but not yet aware as an individual.) The tail perhaps of a lion, or wings or other characteristics of the creatures of the air.
Then perceiving others, man moved again, only temporarily manifesting in these forms. And yet do not misunderstand it, he remained in all of these, in a sense. The being, that is, was and yet was not man, moved into other forms of quadrupeds, into the taurian -like forms of oxen, into the proto-oxen and creatures that might be called bulls. For here he saw the fullest strength to manifest the beginning of a sense that might be called the more sexual in the experience of the growing soul in man. But he remembered his nature as man – took on the form that in mythology would be called “Minotaur.”
Man, however, was not fully identified with these forms, and yet was, for he could still move and change and alter the forms by thought. Then something within that being became still more identified and solidified.
Not having known itself as an individuality, it was all so great a temptation to forget the nature of that which it was, for it had never really been conscious of it.
CALLING FOR HELP
At this point in the experience of man, that consciousness called Amelius had remained at a higher plane. Hovering as a great mantle over the earth, as a pattern that may only be described as light and consciousness, Amelius reached out and hallowed back to the solar orb of consciousness and to the sphere (the consciousness) that later became the planet called Venus, to that consciousness. And it became more aware, not as individuals but as a pervading essence hovering about the world, of that called “love.”
Man became more conscious in the physical forms in which he had identified. Some here and some there found themselves solidified in these forms, no longer creating by thought, for they were fully satisfied and identified in matter. However certain beings of the consciousness associated with this sphere called Venus, “not yet existent on the physical plane but in the solar orb,” hovered about and caressed the earth as a great radiance and realized that man must find a transformation in his experience. There was the realization that the soul that was growing to make man aware of the spirit, and individuality eventually bringing the consciousness of God into that individuality, must somehow now be transformed.
And a great wave of consciousness seemed to move across space and creation, as light across the face of the deep. The soul and being that was and yet may not be called man was drawn up for a moment as by a great love, and the forms which he had created drawing upon the elemental consciousness of the earth. And the planetary orb swept near the earth, entering and forming in the orbit now of Venus. The earth was showered with fire and brimstone, magnetic and energy forces as though by natural cataclysm. And the earth was shaken. And the intermixture of forms which man had created were destroyed. And yet, as an identity of self, as forms remained.
By this very act of love, the physical form of the planet Venus had come forth from the solar orb, and in its path swept near the earth, and by the love of the consciousness called Venus, of the very “being” called Venus, had transformed the earth as a saving grace. Because of that willingness of consciousness, it received a planet of its own in a fiery form which evolved itself that it might call home. Here was the origin of that great spirit of life called Venus that was active in the beginnings of the earth. By that act of love it received its own home and individuality, although at a different level of spiritual consciousness from that in the earth.
The Coming Of The Races Of Man - Part 4
But now the forms were in need of that by which they could become more individually conscious and evolved. By thought, the race of those called protoanthropoids, the few remaining, the stronger, was purified. And then the souls that became men were lifted from their identity at the level that might be called the earth (in the minotaurian forms and such) and became lifted again into a singular form as man in the protoanthropoids. Now, because of the love that had entered, there came more a sense of awareness and identity of self. There was not as much fascination with the changes it could create in the earth, but more with the eternal sense of existing in a body, and of the many things which in a sense, but not so our minds might think of, it would be called wonderful.
Procreation at the physical level, rather than by the mind was now experienced. And by the subtle nudging of the spiritual source within the soul of man, the evolutionary process encountered forms of mutation that otherwise would have been impossible. These mutations began with the radiation emanating from the radiant form of Venus as it had left the sun and passed the earth, but because of the unconscious spiritual urgings within man, the evolution and mutant transformation caused a faster change.
A few of the protoanthropoid forms were not inhabited, for they were unworthy of these which might be called souls and soon spirits, and so they maintained a slower level of evolution. But by the prodding of the spirit that became man, some of the protoanthropoids departed the way and moved upward. Here we see the why of ascent, as we would call it, that has been the concern of Darwin and others. The event in which man as a soul became a spirit, in a sense and entered as the races in differing tendencies and mutant forms in the protoanthropoids, is the point of the why in which the ancestors of man departed from the ancestors of the present anthropoids. And by mental forces they moved upward and quickly evolved as five races.
Moving through different planes of experience and races, we can quickly glimpse the process called “reincarnation.” For as a man became a spiritual being as well as a soul, he identified himself with the created. The soul also identified itself therewith. So when a bodily form had dropped off by death, being identified therewith, the soul was again attracted into an available form, thus the beginning of that which is called reincarnation or re -embodiment. Here was the opportunity for God to become individually conscious in man. First, however, movement and development along lines of awareness of the various senses was necessary.
We cannot explain from here the consciousness in that experience called “Atlantis,” or in the consciousness of other races, for you would not comprehend them. You have passed through them, but you would not identify with them fully. Man was not a man then, as you know him now, for he was not as complete as you now find yourselves. His emotions and his thoughts were different, not having partaken of his many experiences, or the awareness of sense and emotion, and all manner of experiences in the earth.
PREPARING FOR THE COMING OF THE CHRIST
Now we find man coming finally, finally, first into a worship of various anthropomorphic desire deities and totemic relationships. Becoming self -conscious and heralding back to his origins, he first tended to remember the changes he had made in the earth as animal forms, and thus he created a variety of diverse deities and totemic entities to worship. And then gods representing various emotions were worshipped. For man became conscious of the emotional elements in himself as manifested in his bodily glands, and he began to find gods to worship that were symbolic of emotions. Everywhere we see these, whether in the ancient gods of the Norse people or the Romans or the Persians or the Egyptians or the Jews, whether in the vengeful god Jehovah, or in Woden, in Saturn, and ah, so many others.
Then we see the appearance of light in the world, of one here and there becoming conscious, glimpsing somehow that man relates to a divine source. Elsewhere, then, we see one called Akhenaten, and others elsewhere acclaiming, “There is one God and one alone.” For man had already become somewhat aware of morals, but now aware of the Source of Life that gives unto the just and unjust alike. This was but a yearning and a burning hope, a trust and a faith, an intuitive knowledge somehow of God.
Still, however, a being, a part of man, remained as a great mantle of the earth, yet sharing a part of the sun and of other realms in space, including that called Venus. These various elements of consciousness together realized that the point of a sense of self -awareness had come where God, for once, might become aware as an individual in the earth. Thus, in the races of man, in the experience, for example, of the imprisonment of the children of Israel in Egypt and the movement out of these and the establishment of a concept of one God in Egypt, and then a moving across with even more of a concept of one God in Moses. In all these, we see the beginnings of preparation for the appearance of one, not just conscious of God, but God conscious in man, a preparation for the appearance of the Christ.
This spirit of Amelius that was in the earth, yet not of the earth, that which remained above, became alerted in the experience of one soul and one spirit that had begun to “live the life,” from one lifetime to another. That one, Amelius, descended into the earth for a moment, in a sense as an experiment, to set a pattern by mind itself. This spirit, with the help of that force from Venus and the solar consciousness, descended through the individuality of one called Melchizedek, (king of the zodiac,) the priest, unborn of woman, undying. Melchizedek’s manifestation or appearance in the Jewish racial consciousness was an experiment to establish a line of descent (which events already, in part, had predisposed) in the pattern of man: to assure that from this race or other or ethnic group of peoples, indeed from the descent of David, would come one aware as an individual. God aware as an individual. This was not so in Melchizedek. It was in essence, not quite a man but an inhovering and indwelling of an essence and a memory instilling the pattern in a group of peoples for a line of descent.
Then, at that magnificent time when Venus, Jupiter, other planets, and the sun were so aligned, and the constellation of His entry attuned to all the astrological forces through the consciousness of Melchizedek, King of the Zodiac, that essence became a reality. The alignment was that prophesied by the sages of Persia and by others elsewhere in India and in the Orient, in China and in Egypt, that the wise men might come. They followed that great sign that emblemized the forces from which this essence, in a sense, had come. And an individual spirit (that had come into the earth in the manner described before) became the channel of God to be conscious and fully manifested as an individual.
The very potential of that consciousness, the impulse by which the very angelic realms, akin and yet unakin to the human consciousness, worked to create it, brought about that called or termed or symbolic as the “Immaculate Conception.” Remember the point in the protoanthropoids in which man became aware of procreation in bodies. That was the entry from the doorway called the Leydig, (the water, the man,) to the gonad (in the Taurian, the Minotaurian,) and finally into forms where it was necessary to procreate by means of the physical. But in the Christ consciousness, one, (Jesus,) became the way and also the door, as he said.
And thus was the door of the water center unlocked. In the very consciousness, before entry, even in the one called Mary, the mother of Jesus, (for in a sense they were as one), there was the unlocking of that in which man must procreate in the normal way; and spontaneously, by thought, with the very essence of that in which man entered the earth by creative thought, (originally unconscious of itself, but now conscious) we see the occurrence of the immaculate conception. For that which man did before he was man, (a sense of soul -mind and only in essence a creation and matter,) now became an objective thing. Man had become conscious of himself, and God about to become fully conscious in the earth.
And thus, in this beginning, we have the hopes that all men and all minds and all souls not strive to be conscious of God but to be channels of God, that God might be manifested as an individual in each of us.
