Letting go is always difficult, whether it is with love or because of hurt. Either way, we must realize that even though a person is no longer in our life they can always be part of your heart. People we love will always be part of our heart even though they may not physically be part of our life anymore. There is truly no such thing as goodbye. It is a human concept created by those who are only aware of the physical.

When we love, that love is forever. If it is true love – the energy of love – it cannot be broken, destroyed, or erased. It will exist forever. True, unconditional love, the energy that is love, is eternal. True, unconditional love is not a feeling. It is not an emotion. It is energy. This energy is timeless, infinite and endless. When we share this energy with someone, this energy will always exist.

Letting go can be painful and it can hurt, even when it is done for the best and in love, but there is really no such thing as letting go. When we let something go, it is usually because it doesn’t benefit us any longer; it doesn’t serve us. We let go because we realize that we deserve better, or we want something else. “Letting go” is really a gift we give ourselves, and we should be happy about it, instead of feeling sad, guilty, empty, broken or whatever one might feel after having let something go. When we let go, we give to ourselves. Something new and better can come into our lives. We free space for new energy to come in. We should feel glad about letting go and for letting something go, because it means that we have come to realize that it no longer serves us. And that is how we build our life better and better. By making those realizations. People tend to think letting go is the end of something, but it is truly the beginning of something new.

We never have to let anything go really. People who we love will always be with us and part of our heart. When we truly love someone, that love will always be. It will always exist. Many people choose to let go in order to make peace with something, but then they are giving themselves this peace. So letting go comes with something positive. Next time you let something go, notice what you invite in.
