Today is a Reflection of Your Past Thoughts

What we experience today is a reflection of what we have thought before. The thoughts we have repeated over and over again throughout many years have accumulated and create what we experience today. Even when we start meditation and change the way we are thinking, the momentum from the past continues until the old energy we produced has extinguished.
We cannot change what we experience today but we can change the way we react. Changing our reactions today will produce a better experience tomorrow. The Dalai Lama often says, “Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
When we change our view, the world changes too. What we see today shows us what we have been thinking in the past. Change the way you view the world today and the world will change tomorrow, not overnight but gradually. It takes time to reverse the momentum of our old habits. Be patient and do your best to be compassionate and loving. Do this and the world will gradually change and happiness will appear more frequently.
