All Things Being Equal

All Things Being Equal

Equal parts diurnal and nocturnal,

the resounding energies of equinox

endow hemispheres — outside,

within — to spin the wheel.

Now spun, this pivot point of

earth’s equipoise, her ephemeral stance

of balance day-by-day obliges

distal poles.

Seeds shine wavelengths

evincing the shift of

our star’s summer

to winter span.

So much life still to live

beyond what seems apparent

to the cursory gaze these

boreal parts.

Grasses bow to the coming

rest on the one hand, the

covenant of resurrection

on the other.

A coolness signals

trees, sprouts shoots,

spurs migrations —

murmurations.

All

move

in great

accord.

Just

so.

All supplicate

to the shifting,

shifting,

poise.

Down to

the atom.

Now, as

ever.

Perhaps

we will find a

deftness of grace

in kind.

An acquiescence

to life’s dependably

timeless tilts, arcs

and tides.

Highs meeting

lows, growth waltzing

stillness, to

keeling fro.

Returns on

equal footing with

their inevitable

release.

Loss

dovetailing gain

somewhere in

between.

Wherein give

and take curb their

doing to let be

what is.

An effulgence

of harmonics catching

the very breath

of heaven.

One side

peaceably meeting,

complementing

the other.

It is a witnessing

and imagining

held just

so.

Winds,

constellations,

goldfinch feathers

sign their assent.

As I see 11:11,

a symbolic logic coalesced

in waves : particles sparks primordial

pathways of mind, minding.

The dragonflies lay,

bees laze their graze, and

leaves bare secret hues north

of 0 degrees latitude.

Green, as all sun-fed bands,

recedes to rest, shining hidden

gems afore the regeneration

of a sparer palette.

The equatorial balance

beam of mother earth’s

agile flux imparting

steady adjusting.

Halves greater

for their grasp of innate

symbiosis, however

differing their mien.

In sync

with the clarion

planetary

pulse.

The holy nature

of surrender

palpable

en masse.

A geological

synastry written

in indelible

starlight.

Even as

unrest resists

the changing

light.

And I find my pelt pine

for a briefer sun to warm it

soft, hibernation looming

gentle on the air.

above,

below;

just so.

Earth magic, is all —

this interstitial fuse holding

prologue inseparable

from postlude.

On behalf

of all

that

is.

One tale,

so very

many

tellings.

Her circle of life

showing us round

by round the way

to live, let live.

Once

and

for

all.
