Counterparts: the Gnosis of Density

Counterparts: the Gnosis of Density

Counterparts: the Gnosis of Density

Morphic resonance: a paranormal influence
by which a pattern of events or behavior can facilitate
subsequent occurrences of similar patterns.

I just came across the word density
a moment ago, and for the first time,
really, saw ‘destiny' in its letters.

Perhaps you’ve noticed this.

I’d made the connection before,
but not with quite the same
orchestral score.

Not with the whoosh of WOW
that this noticing served up,
batons twirling.

Instead of letting my mind take it
in hand and make quick work of
its Rubik’s cube order, I let
my imagination pull it into
a  shimmering cerulean
grotto to play with its
sea horses, its sun
fish, leatherbacks,
cuddles and
anemones.

Its mermaids
and mermen.

An axis, so like that
of the earth’s, appeared
in the blue murmurs
of crystalline
current.

It showed its ‘ends,'
one a shining glimpse
of horizon, the other a
solid footing, filled with
iron, thronged by
matter, shot
with flame.

Like the baton, it spun.

Neither end was able to
be seen, just a sort of
propeller revolving,
its glimmers held
in the spot of
my gaze.

This, it showed,
is the bit that is written
in this anagram from
inner space.

There is only a circle
at the heart of the
spiral. One end
never meeting
the other, but
never apart
from it either.

Equal and
opposite.

Action and
re: action.

Cause
and
effect.

Winter : summer.

Logic, yes.
And elastic.
Fantastic.

Infinitely connected.
Ever expanding.

Forces
acting in
pairs.

Complements.

Contrast so oft
conferring clarity —
as above, so
below.

1 + 1 = much.
Beyond digits.
Beyond calculus.
Beyond reason.

50 trillion cells in the
human body, each
one comprised of
100 trillion atoms

constantly
emerging

collapsing

as the field
that is the field
we each/all are
distinct and
at one.

Coal is
diamond
as acorn
is oak as
magic is
to matter,
miracle.

No out there,
only here.

Mystery
wrapped in
riddles of flesh, scales,
bark, rock, star,
dust.

I wriggle my toes.
Crane my neck.
Set my cap to
this sight.

Now playing
in the aquamarines
of my grotto.

Do you see
what I see?

“…And the slow
difficulty
of remembering
how everything
is born from
an opposite
and miraculous
otherness. …”

’The Winter of Listening’
