What if
Fear is not to blame?
Nor ego.
What if we came
to this dimension,
our energies,
to examine
fear
as if in
a lab?
Wearing our
bone and flesh
hazmat suits to get up
close to it, to
handle it.
To expand it
under a microscope
and observe how
it behaves.
To add this or
that to it and
watch what
takes shape?
And what we
found in our most
successful experiments
of enlargement, our repetitive
findings, scared the pants
off our imaginations.
Causing our
energy to fear
what we've magnified
more than we
could feel
anything
else.
Giving it
untold power
over our seeing
life here any
other
way.
It is a question
that has arrived
this morn. That
I blow, as a kiss,
to your ability
to consider.
For me, I’m
going to experiment
with seeing the laboratory
for the test tubes,
the lab coats,
the rounds
and rounds
of observation
and notation, the
ever increasing
magnification.
And, eventually,
I will see beyond
these walls, beyond
what I’ve been looking
for and find what
has been here
all along.
