When Shifts hit the Fan
They blow pollen,
petals, colors
so wondrous
spells are
bound for
seconds,
ages
on the
flesh of
oak, beetle,
granite,
ash,
loch.
Emissaries
of otherness.
Like our own.
This is but one
such moment,
bound in red silk
and juniper.
Lifted from
orbits, aeries
lighter than
this we
breathe
into being.
Ultra in
violet.
Fragrant
to touch.
Potent
of chord.
How rapt
this lead
to depths
yet foreign
to the graze
of fingerprints.
Benefic, this
tender cradle
of suns of
suns of
suns.
Here, it
offers,
is where
love spins
yarns gold.
Where
felicity blossoms
meteors, estuaries,
honeys sweet,
savory.
Where rest
knows its
name by
sign.
Here is
the place
life casts
its wand
into wild
winds
and mutes
silence.
Deafening
clouds.
A refuge
of stillness
to moor
moons.
Such like.
New lands
whisper
braille
on wings
of dreams.
Pellucid
now.
Dare we,
dare we,
dare we
slip this
stream?
We dare.
Yes, yes,
oh yes,
we
dare.
