“Discover why small rituals become soul medicine” ~Crystal Wind
September does not announce itself with spectacle. It rearranges the ordinary—the meal, the morning walk, the conversation you almost did not have—until the life you are living no longer matches the life you have outgrown. This month’s skies ask only that you notice the quiet reorganization already underway.

Hello Astro Friends,
I hope all is well with everyone and that your August was filled with some Leo fun and are now anticipating a lovely month ahead. Here is the updated September newsletter:
There are many indications that life will be tumbling forward in a direction with possibilities not considered previously. The sense is that the weeks ahead carry the feeling of standing at a threshold. The month begins with tension that asks us to redefine what truly makes us feel safe. Mars in Cancer forms a square to Saturn in Aries, revealing the push and pull between emotional security and the courage to step into unfamiliar territory. We may long for the comfort of familiar routines, family traditions, and the places that nourish our hearts, while life simultaneously nudges us toward greater independence. For those in the United States, Labor Day weekend arrives beneath a nurturing Cancer Moon, making it a beautiful time for backyard barbecues, family gatherings, time beside the water, and reconnecting with those who feel like home. Yet beneath the warmth of shared meals and laughter, something deeper is stirring.
As the month unfolds, the Virgo New Moon becomes a powerful turning point. The same day as the new moon Venus slips into passionate Scorpio, Mercury enters relationship-oriented Libra and Uranus stations retrograde. Together these planetary shifts signal that our daily lives, priorities, and relationships are entering a period of profound reorganization. What once seemed stable now asks to evolve. September reminds us that change often begins quietly within the routines of everyday life before revealing itself as an entirely new direction.
September 10th: Virgo New Moon: Sacred Work, Sacred Living
The New Moon in Virgo invites us back to one of the most spiritual truths of this earthy sign: enlightenment is found not by escaping daily life but by bringing consciousness into it. Virgo teaches that our work becomes sacred when it is aligned with our gifts, and our health becomes a spiritual practice when we honor the body as the temple of the soul. This lunation offers an excellent opportunity to begin—or recommit to—a health-centered routine that nourishes mind, body, and spirit. Whether through cleaner eating, movement, meditation, time in nature, or creating greater order in your environment, every small act of devotion becomes a prayer.
Virgo asks us to pause and honestly assess whether our current habits support the person we are becoming. Are your daily routines feeding your soul or simply filling your calendar? Are you caring for your nervous system as faithfully as you care for your responsibilities? This New Moon encourages a gentle but honest inventory of the practices that restore your inner balance.
Adding depth to this New Moon message is a sesquiquadrate (135°) between Venus, Uranus, and Neptune. This dynamic aspect is called the finger of fate, often times leading to profound change around Venus ideals, what we love and value. There is a growing realization that renewal requires letting go of outdated patterns of control while consciously choosing what deserves your energy moving forward. Deep within the desire to reinvent ones life stirs—not from fear, but from an authentic longing to follow what is most precious and dear to your heart.
At the same time, Mars forms a semisquare (45°) to Uranus, one of astrology's classic signatures of restless liberation. Patience may be in short supply. The urge to suddenly quit a job, leave an unhealthy situation, or radically change direction can emerge almost overnight. Because Mars is in Cancer, there may be tension between the need for emotional security and the equally compelling desire for greater personal freedom. One part of you wants stability; another wants to throw open every door and begin again.
September 10th : Uranus stationing retrograde
Perhaps the most significant influence is Uranus stationing retrograde on the very day of the New Moon. Whenever an outer planet stations, its symbolism becomes amplified. Uranus, the great awakener, electrifies this Virgo New Moon with unpredictability, flashes of insight, and sudden shifts in perspective. Circumstances may appear to change externally, but often the deepest revolution occurs within. A career path that once felt secure may suddenly feel confining. Long-held routines may no longer support your evolving purpose. What once appeared practical may reveal itself as merely familiar.
Meanwhile, Venus entering Scorpio immediately opposes Chiron in Taurus, quietly opening the doorway toward the Venus retrograde that lies ahead. Relationships become mirrors reflecting places where love has been withheld, trust has been wounded, or self-worth has been compromised. Rather than seeking quick answers from others, this transit encourages gentle inner healing. Sometimes the greatest relationship we can restore is the one we have with ourselves.
Working with the Virgo New Moon
- Create one simple daily ritual that nourishes your body, mind, and spirit.
- Declutter your home or workspace to create space for new opportunities.
- Begin a wellness practice that feels sustainable rather than perfect.
- Journal about where your work feels meaningful—and where it no longer does.
- Notice sudden desires for change, but allow wisdom to guide impulsive decisions.
- Pay attention to intuitive insights that arrive unexpectedly around the New Moon.
- Practice forgiveness toward yourself and others as relationship healing begins.
- Choose progress over perfection—Virgo honors steady devotion more than flawless execution.
October 22nd: The Autumn Equinox: Walking the Path of Grace
As the Sun enters Libra on September 22, we cross one of the year's great turning points: the Autumn (Spring down under) Equinox. Day and night stand in perfect balance, reminding us that harmony is not something we find—it is something we continually create.
This year's Equinox carries remarkable promise. The Sun activates a flowing Grand Trine connecting Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini, suggesting that the future is opening through cooperation with change rather than resistance to it. Grand Trines often reveal where life naturally wants to flow, where doors open with surprising ease when we stop forcing outcomes.
Yet the Sun simultaneously stands opposite Neptune in Aries, reminding us that not every vision is immediately clear. Dreams, ideals, and imagination are heightened, but so is the temptation to chase illusions or become overwhelmed by too many possibilities. The invitation is not to have every answer, but to trust the current carrying you forward.
Rather than pushing harder, September encourages discovering the path of least resistance that also leads toward the greatest fulfillment. Sometimes grace accomplishes what effort alone cannot.
October 26th: The Aries Full Moon: Following the Fire of the Soul
The Full Moon in Aries shines with both inspiration and mystery. Conjunct Neptune in Aries, our emotions become infused with dreams, longings, intuition, and spiritual yearning. There may be moments when your attention feels scattered across countless possibilities, making it difficult to determine which path deserves your energy. The heart reaches toward an ideal future that seems almost visible just beyond the horizon.
This is not a Full Moon for forcing clarity. It is a Full Moon for allowing wisdom to arise through stillness.
The continuing Grand Trine in Air keeps consciousness oriented toward the future, opening new ideas, conversations, and possibilities. Meanwhile, the Moon-Neptune conjunction sits at the midpoint between Uranus and Pluto, awakening a profound longing for authentic community—for a chosen family, a spiritual circle, or a group that supports your deepest transformation. We are reminded that while awakening is deeply personal, it is rarely meant to be walked alone.
This Full Moon is especially supportive of meditation, journaling, music, dance, painting, poetry, photography, and any creative practice that allows the soul to speak without needing logical explanation. Inspiration arrives through symbols, dreams, synchronicities, and quiet moments of reflection.
Because the chart beautifully blends Air and Fire symbolism, a simple fire ceremony can become a powerful ritual. Writing down old fears or limiting beliefs before safely burning the paper allows the flames to symbolize release while the surrounding air carries your intentions toward the future.
Working with the Aries Full Moon
- Practice conscious breathwork to calm the nervous system and clear mental clutter.
- Spend time in meditation rather than searching for immediate answers.
- Journal freely without editing—allow your subconscious to speak.
- Engage in music, painting, writing, or creative expression.
- Reach out to your spiritual community or seek new circles that support authentic growth.
- Hold a simple fire ceremony to release old identities and welcome new possibilities.
- Watch your dreams; Neptune often speaks through symbols while we sleep.
- Allow inspiration to unfold naturally instead of trying to control every outcome.
Closing the Month: Courage and Inner Wisdom
September concludes with another meaningful shift as Mars enters radiant Leo on September 27. After weeks of navigating emotional complexity and relational adjustments, our confidence begins to return. Mars in Leo encourages us to lead with generosity, creativity, and heartfelt courage. The emphasis shifts from protecting ourselves to expressing the unique light only we can offer the world.
Then, on September 30, Mercury enters profound Scorpio, drawing the mind beneath the surface of appearances. Conversations become more meaningful, intuition sharpens, and curiosity turns toward life's deeper mysteries. The questions we ask become less about what is happening and more about why. This transit supports research, psychological insight, spiritual study, and honest conversations that transform relationships from the inside out.
September reminds us that transformation rarely arrives all at once. It unfolds through countless small choices—one healthier habit, one courageous conversation, one moment of surrender, one inspired step forward.
May this month help you trust both the steady rhythm of your daily practice and the unexpected winds of change, knowing that each is quietly guiding you toward the life your soul has been preparing to live.
With love, light, and gratitude,
Donna
