Weekly Horoscope: Ultimate Guide for July 25th - August 1st

Weekly Horoscope: Ultimate Guide for July 25th - August 1st

For the week of July 25th thru August 1st, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well as the natal house when Chiron stations (27º Aries) if you know it:

Aries

(1st House) There is a reminder this week as Mercury retrogrades into the heart of the Sun to make enough space in your life in order to connect with what your heart truly wants. That can include identifying those things that have been standing in the way of you living your own best life. On Wednesday, the centaur Chiron stations for its 5 month retrograde phase in the late degrees of Aries. So this will resonate most strongly with those Aries people born at the end of the sign. But for everyone we are being reminded of the necessity to focus on our own healing journey. Aries will trudge right through the pain, ignoring the signals your body is sending you. That is, until you can’t ignore it any longer. It is not weakness but wisdom to pay attention to the signs and symptoms that are coming to the surface. Whether these be physical, emotional or psychological, pay attention to them all. Never will you be better situated to get to the bottom of a situation as you can during the retrograde phase of Chiron, especially when it is in your sign. Chiron not only makes you aware of a problem, but also brings the remedy. And that can include what you might want to change in your perspective in order to accept those things that are merely a part of the human experience. Chiron is the opportunity to gain wisdom through self-examination. The sort of wisdom that builds and creates your own healing bridge.

Taurus

(12th House) One thing that could become evident with the station of Chiron is that the things that make us weak are those things that are kept hidden away in the darkest recesses of our soul. Those secrets that we will not or cannot share. There is a tremendous healing that can arise when we are able to share our wounds, our fears, our anxieties with others, which is part of this Chironic journey. When we are courageous enough to share with others, we can then also be a beacon of light and inspiration for others to do so as well. But in order to know how much you do or do not want to share, trust your intuition to guide you, and lead with your compassionate heart. Forgiveness, Understanding, and Compassion are all key when working with Chiron. Know also that Chiron is not just about forgiving, understanding and having compassion for others. More importantly, and especially during the retrograde phase of Chiron, is the ability to forgive, understand and have compassion for yourself. Retrograde Mercury is bringing your attention to your home: your relationships, those people and things that support you. The people that you can go to for healing and support. Beginning with what you have right there in front of you. Start where you are, with what you have, and that will always lead you into something greater. ~ Mary Manin Morrissey.

Gemini

(11th House) As we stand here in the very middle of the retrograde phase of Mercury, you are being asked to check in with your own heart and ind. Are there any changes that you can make in order to have more joy, and perhaps some radical loving kindness in your life? There are powerful changes going on in the world these days, making us feel as if we don’t have very much control over outcomes. However what we do have control over is our own heart and mind. Chiron can sometimes increase stress when at the times when it stations, as it will this week. If that is true for you remind yourself to focus on the breath and move through any stressors as they arise. When Chiron is in Aries, Gemini may find themselves more aware of the ways that they may compromise themselves, their beliefs, their truths, just for the sake of attention and adulation. But there will be those times that even when you do all the things, you are not feeling fully appreciated. You then ask yourself if it is worth it? Chiron’s station gives you permission to reclaim your own true path. Your challenge is to be your own true self, even in a world that is constantly trying to get you to conform. When you are willing to follow your own true path, you will find the naysayers receding, as you become the center of the group that everyone else wants to belong to.

Cancer

(10th House) As Chiron stations for its retrograde phase, Cancer may be questioning themselves and their choices. You may ask yourself: Will people truly believe that I am qualified? Am I being seen? Am I being fully appreciated for what I have to offer? If you feel self-doubt arise, look beneath the surface. What old dialogues are being brought to the surface and needing to be silenced? What doubts are causing you to feel self-conscious? Know that all of your choices and experiences have brought you to this place in time, reflecting your wisdom and strength as well as your doubts. It is precisely because you are human and that you have lived that you are in a position to understand others. And it is because you are imperfect that you can relate. By the time Chiron stations direct in early January it is hoped that the lessons of Chiron bring you to a place of acceptance for who you are and what you have accomplished without having to worry about what anyone else thinks. In the meantime the retrograde phase of Mercury is the perfect time to remind yourself of what you do have right there in front of you. And then as Venus enters your sign on Wednesday, allow her to awaken you to the myriad of possibilities that are now unfolding before you. In times of uncertainty we can forget all the good and the precious things that we already have.

Leo

(9th House) People will often turn to Leo for inspiration. And you will often be reminded of the ways in which you serve as an example for others to follow. It puts a little pressure on you, but it also compels you to live your life according to a higher standard. You may not be perfect. But if you see your imperfections as something to be ashamed of, then you do yourself a disservice. For your imperfections will allow you to be even more relatable, and more human. And less judgmental of others. For we are all stumbling along on this same human journey that we call life, sometimes tripping up and sometimes limping along. But once you make it to the further shore, you can then serve as a guide to others. With Mercury in the middle of its retrograde phase, and about to make its transit across the Sun, we are all being asked to reconnect with our own heart center. This can help to re-center yourself on those things that are truly most important to you. And then with the Chiron station on Wednesday, think of the ways that you can facilitate the process of becoming that most important beacon light on the stormy shore of uncertainty, guiding the ships around the rocky shoals.

Virgo

(8th House) The retrograde phase of Mercury has  been drawing you into the past. Not just to punish you with guilt or remorse about what may or may not have happened, but to finally heal some old lingering wounds once and for all. It’s time to clean house. That includes addressing old worries, doubts, grief or resentments that you have been holding on to, but can now put to rest. Have the courage to face your past in order to lay the ground for a new and healthier beginning to emerge. The station of Chiron can bring up all sorts of hidden wounds buried in some old ancient crypt in our mind. Chiron not only exposes our old wounds and shames and fears, it also brings us the tools to heal them. One of those tools is the ability to accept our imperfections and wounds for what they are without judgment. And to be humble enough to share our concerns with others. This allows us to make deeper and more meaningful connections, and can also guide us through any old labyrinths paved with shame, denial and fear. Chiron is here to remind us that we are not alone with this task. There are others who can guide and help us through the morass. This being human is not easy. We falter. But we can also get back on our feet. And through the lessons of Chiron, we can even find strength and resolve, where previously we only saw weakness and vulnerability.

Libra

(7th House) For the years that Chiron is in Aries, you will find that people will be drawn to you for guidance and advice. If this is what you do for a living or do as a service it will be all that much more compelling. It could also be that someone close to you is in need of care, or has been something of a concern. And this can be all the more so now that both Saturn and Neptune have been in Aries. But with both Saturn and Neptune, and now Chiron, all retrograde in the sign of Aries, you are being made all too aware of what you can or cannot do for others. One thing that could become apparent is that you may not be able to fix them, and you may not be able to make them better, but what you can do is be there for them,, and accept them for who they are, and where they are right now. One other reminder comes with all of these retrogrades in Aries as well as Mercury’s inferior conjunction in the sign of Leo, is that you are no use to anyone else unless you make yourself a priority. This is not selfishness. Nor are you doing so at the expense of others. For unless you take care of your own needs and well-being you are not going to be of any use to anyone else. Self-care allows you to be a better custodian, caretaker, companion and advisor to others, as well as an example for others to follow.

Scorpio

(6th House) Chiron stations can raise the bar when it comes to self-care. When Chiron is in Aries as it is now, this goes beyond the occasional self-care indulgences that you may allow yourself. It means creating better habits and daily routines that prioritize your emotional and physical well-being. Some things will work better for some people than others. But with Chiron in Aries start with the usual self-care basics: make sure you are eating a healthy and nutritious diet; get plenty of sleep; and incorporate some sort of physical activity into your routine. Chiron is in the sign of Aries, a sign that needs to move in order to relieve stress, and to feel like you have more control over yourself, your destiny and life. In a world where there seem to be so many uncertainties, and so many things that we simply don’t have any control over, focusing in on your daily routines and prioritizing your own health and well-being, can be key to helping you feel more grounded. There is also a reminder here, that when you take care of your own basic needs then you will be in a better position to offer some sort of useful service to others. It may seem like a selfish thing to focus on when the world just feels so uncertain, but it is precisely what is most needed from you right now.

Sagittarius

(5th House) Who or what is standing in the way of you fully expressing yourself? This is probably the primal question asked with Mercury in the middle of its retrograde phase in Leo. What are the fears, the doubts the trepidation standing in the way? But as Chiron now stations for its retrograde phase this coming Wednesday, it could come to your attention that it may or may not be someone else, so much as yourself. Are there old dialogues that keep popping up just as you are about to step into the spotlight? Just as you are about to reclaim your own? And then when you find the spotlight shining on you, you begin to wonder what on earth ever persuaded you to walk up on to the podium in the first place? How did you even get here? Chiron is here to remind you that it’s really not about how good you are, or what anyone else thinks about your performance, it’s about what feels right for you at the moment. It’s about you doing you. And it’s about doing you even through the doubts and the angst and the discomfort. Healing comes when you are able to dig down deep beneath the fear, beneath the facades, the doubts and to be the self you are when all else is stripped away. This is the path to your own healing journey right now. To be the person you are in your heart of hearts without needing anyone’s permission or applause. It’s simply about you doing you.

Capricorn

(4th House) For Capricorn, each time Chiron stations in Aries it can bring this reminder of not quite fitting in. And that’s true even in the places where you should be fitting in. Even in places where you have lived for generations! Humans are social beings. We congregate within our tribes, our clans and communities, if we have one. But there are times in our lives when we can feel like something of an outcast, a wanderer, someone from another clan, or even a stranger in a strange land. Even in our own home towns, even in a place where we have deep roots, there can be an awareness of not quite fitting in. We are on the outs with that uncle, or cannot see eye to eye with that side of the family. It can also be that we can get so tied up with our own family or clan that we can’t identify with anyone outside of it. With Chiron though, what can become apparent, is that you are not as alone as you think you are. You are changing on a very deep level, and it is likely that your home and community is going to be reflecting those changes, paving the way for a much deeper state of awareness and belonging. One that is no longer going to be compromised by any self-limiting beliefs or awkward misconceptions. Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon you, as well as the world you are living in, are evolving.

Aquarius

(3rd House) Has anyone ever made you feel-self-conscious? Perhaps about your intelligence, or something you said, or the way you said it? Made you doubt yourself and what you know? Or even worse, have you done this to yourself? Have you doubted your own unique voice and point of view? Your capacity to know, and the ability to grow? No one knows everything. There will always be people who know more than you, and some who will know less. But no one will truly see the world the way that you do. As Chiron stations for its retrograde phase this week understand that there are different types of intelligences, and different ways in which our minds work. And no two minds are exactly alike. When we come to accept that which is unique in ourselves and about our own minds, we also honor that which is unique in others. Arriving at this level of acceptance allows us to better connect with others, and learn to communicate in ways that reach beyond words, in order to touch both hearts and minds. In this way Chiron’s retrograde phase in Aries can bring a much deeper capacity for sharing with and understanding others.

Pisces

(2nd House) During the retrograde phase of Chiron over the next 5 months, understanding and awareness can arise when you more fully value what you have to offer to others. And that includes certain  unique gifts, talents and skills that you may have taken for granted, and didn’t fully appreciate. Within our society there are certain things we associate with worthiness. One thing that you may become aware of is that your worth can not be so easily determined with a calculator and a ledger. It can be very easy to get caught up in other’s values and expectations, gauging your worth according to other people’s standards. However, as Chiron stations for its retrograde phase on Wednesday, you are being asked to think about what your own expectations are of yourself, as well as what valuable services and gifts you have to offer others. Know that there are some things that you simply cannot put a price tag on. The lessons of Chiron are not about how much you have, what you do or do not own, but to focus on and more fully invest in the things that are truly important to you, and are a truer and more authentic reflection of who you are. Not what others think you are or expect you to be, but what you know your true gifts are.
