Weekly Horoscope: Ultimate Guide for July 4th - July 11th

Weekly Horoscope: Ultimate Guide for July 4th - July 11th

For what the retrogrades of Saturn and Neptune might mean for your sign, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:

Aries

(1st House) Saturn and Neptune are only in the early degrees of your sign as they both station for their retrograde phases over the coming week. They will eventually retrograde back to Pisces to take care of any business that had been left unfinished. Certain things will need tying up, in order to proceed with the actual beginning that is implied by these two major planets freshly entering your sign. As we enter these retrograde phases, it could feel as if you are needing to take a few steps back, or even go back to the drawing board and start all over again. Saturn in your sign wants you to do things the right way, and to make sure that you take the right step forward. Neptune in your sign wants to make sure that you are more in touch with those goals that resonate with who you are in your heart of hearts. One advantage to stepping back is that it allows you to see the bigger picture, and gain this higher perspective. You may choose to back out of situations that are simply not going anywhere, or perhaps make an even deeper commitment to one that does resonate. It may need a few tweaks. But this is all part of the process, which also includes growing in ways that you might not have even thought possible: these can include developing initiative, leadership skills, self-reliance, responsibility and organization. Kind of like a grown-up, who, even in a fog of uncertainty, still has to make some really important decisions.

Taurus

(12th House) On Friday, July 4th, your ruling planet Venus will enter Gemini, just days before Uranus enters on the 7th, putting the focus on your current needs and perhaps even financial expectations for the foreseeable future. This will have an impact on any decisions you are needing to make about what stays, and what will need to be released and let go of. It would not be unusual with the retrograde stations of Neptune and Saturn in Aries to give yourself permission to just say No More and back out of certain obligations or activities that are no longer tenable. With Uranus now entering Gemini and leaving Taurus you will no longer want to compromise who you are and the person you have become. It could even feel with the conjunction between Saturn and Neptune as they retrograde, that there is a certain level of inevitability about certain things needing to end. A part of you may despair for what once was. But within the context of what you have been shown over the past 7 years, you are being shown what is or is not possible. But also what you will no longer accept. Recognizing this will probably require a certain amount of internal adjustment. The next 5 month retrograde phases of Saturn and Neptune allows you to gradually withdraw from those things that are no longer relevant to you, and may actually be preventing you from growing.

Gemini

(11th House) Just before Uranus enters your sign this week, Venus will lead the way, entering Gemini on Friday, July 4th. This is a big deal for Gemini, even in light of, and despite the stations of Saturn and Neptune in Aries. Both Saturn and Neptune are trying to realign and update you with your current aspirations for the future. But before you are able to make any commitments, you are first being asked to go back and review whatever hopes and wishes you may have had in the past. As you reflect on these it may occur to you that due to recent changes and the accumulation of events in your life, that the aspirations of the past are no longer valid for the person you are now. Uranus in your sign will soon make that evident, as you are being asked to be a truer, more authentic version of yourself. As a result you may find that certain affiliations that used to suffice, no longer do. Saturn’s retrograde is asking you to narrow your focus, while reassessing and redefining the current goals that you do have, making them more meaningful, achievable and in support of the person that you truly are. Tale note of who is supporting you through all this, and those who are distracting you from your true purpose. Not unusual to find yourself withdrawing from certain associations during the retrograde phases of these large outer planets.

Cancer

(10th House) There is a lot happening over the next few weeks. Neptune stations for its retrograde phase on Friday, July 4th, followed by Saturn station on July 12th/13th. Uranus enters the sign of Gemini on July 7th, and then there’s a Full Moon in Capricorn on July 10th, bringing all of this to some sort of crescendo. Those Cancers born on or around the 10th will be especially sensitive to this Full Moon, which can also feel somewhat contradictory. Especially in light of the Saturn station that immediately follows. For when the Sun returns to the sign where it was when you were born is something of a new beginning. However Full Moons can be times of endings and completion. So those Cancers whose birthdays fall on or around the Full Moon could feel as if something is needing to come to an end in order to fulfill that new beginning. And with the retrograde of Saturn, it could almost feel like you are needing to go back to the drawing board and start all over again. Or at least take a few steps back before you can then proceed. It may be that you have been spreading yourself too thin. And you will want to consolidate and reframe your goals in order to proceed. This is a time for reassessing and redefining the goals that you have, while making things simpler, and more achievable. This would be especially so in times of uncertainty, when we simply cannot see the future as clearly as we might hope. One of the things that the Saturn/Neptune combination may bring is a reassessment of these goals in terms of whether or not they are truly in alignment with your core hopes and wishes for the future, while also being realistic, practical and achievable.

Leo

(9th House) With both Saturn and Neptune stationing retrograde in Aries, the future may appear to feel uncertain. But there could also be something to say for stepping back, reviewing, and reconsidering some of the decisions you have already made. And then looking for ways to be better informed, better educated, better prepared before you can then proceed. It is not unusual to feel like we need to take a few steps back before we can proceed when Saturn stations for its retrograde phase. But because it is doing so while conjunct Neptune, we are not quite sure what the consequences of all this may mean. We cannot see the future clearly, which makes it difficult to have concrete plans. But what you can have is the courage of your convictions. With both these planets stationing in Aries you are being asked to connect with your core principles, beliefs and values. That can be as simple as knowing the difference between right and wrong. And one thing you may want to ask yourself, are where you may have allowed any of those principles to be compromised. Question what you have been previously asked to believe. Question whether or not you have been fully informed. Have you been given all the details? Were you only seeing what you wanted to see while ignoring the rest? The retrogrades are affording you the opportunity to realign your vision for the future through those core principles. Don’t be surprised in the process if you come to question much of what you previously believed. Figuring out for yourself what you believe to be true and right is essential right now. For it will serve as a bellwether for years to come.

Virgo

(8th House) It would not be unusual to want to back out of certain obligations that have become much more difficult than originally anticipated, when Saturn stations retrograde (as it will on July 12th/13th). And this could be all the more so with the station of Neptune this week that is already seeding levels of disenchantment. Things that you had previously thought that you could rely on, now seem to be receding into the ether. When Saturn and Neptune are conjunct, and both stationing in this way, it can feel as if something is about to end. Those structures, people or things that previously supported you, or that you were accustomed to having in your life, no longer seem available. The truth is we just don’t know. But within that context we are still being asked to prepare. And that’s what the retrograde phases of these planets can afford us. The ways and means to practically as well as internally prepare ourselves for almost any eventuality. Whether that means exploring more reliable sources of support, or making choices that are more sustainable and manageable in the here and now, as well as in the future. And if there is little that you can do about your current circumstances, ask yourself what you can change in your perspective, that will allow you to accept or better adjust to your current situation and whatever impending changes, endings or circumstances you may be facing.

Libra

(7th House) Your ruling planet, Venus, enters Gemini on Friday, where it will soon be joined by Uranus which will be intent on radicalizing you over the next 7 years. One of the ways it can do this is by showing you that you don’t always have to keep doing things the way they have been done in the past. That there can be better ways of approaching your problems and any obstacles you are contending with. And sometimes just by looking at something from another perspective is all that is needed. This could prove to be helpful now that both Neptune and Saturn are stationing for their retrograde phases. Neptune stations on Friday, July 4th, and Saturn stations on the 12th (or 13th). It may feel that the hands of fate are preventing you from being able to move forward in the ways that you might have hoped. And Saturn is notorious for throwing up a few extra road blocks and delays at these times. It can even feel like you are needing to take a few steps back before you can move forward again. Do not be discouraged if this is the case, because delays and setbacks can sometimes prove to be blessings in disguise. The truth is, we really don’t know what tomorrow will bring. And Uranus can certainly be helpful in this regard, showing us solutions that we simply hadn’t seen before. Use the Saturn retrograde to embrace the power of your No. Know when you need to just cut back. Know when you need to set limits and shore up your boundaries. You may not be able to adequately read the tea leaves, but you know what you are dealing with right here, right now, in front of you. And using the power of your No is key.

Scorpio

(6th House) One of the things that can happen with both Neptune and Saturn stationing in the early degrees of Aries, is the feeling that we are losing control. Know that this is more of an illusion. Saturn is making us aware of our limitations and will throw all sorts of obstacles in our path during its retrograde phases. Neptune can fill us with a sense of futility, and make us just want to give up and give in. At least at first. What can also come during the upcoming retrograde phase of Neptune, is the capacity to transcend our limitations, and to proceed even in the face of uncertainty. Scorpio is not one to give up or give in. But do respect your limitations to the extent that you know when you need to say No More, and set better limits for yourself and others. Value your time. Value your schedule and the commitments that are already made. Use the retrogrades to follow through with projects and obligations that you’ve been ignoring or kicking down the road. That includes any lingering health issues. That includes getting that project over and done with. Use the positive attributes of Saturn to organize your schedule, be more disciplined about getting stuff done. But also to do the things that support your well-being. And then use the positive attributes of Neptune to do these in a conscientious way, perhaps to make an ideal a closer reality. Like walking the walk as well as talking the talk. These may be times of uncertainty, but Scorpio does not give up nor give in. No matter what.

Sagittarius

(5th House) Now that Uranus is entering Gemini on the 7th, it could feel like your life is taking an unexpected turn or two. It will take a bit to get used to the new energy it will bring, but in the meantime, try to use the upcoming stations of Neptune and Saturn to ground yourself and recalibrate. You will want to do this in order to make the best choices moving forward. And you won’t want to get too caught up in the maelstrom of excitement that Uranus can bring. Maybe just enough to inspire. But by cultivating the qualities of Saturn combined with Neptune, these can ease you through whatever surprises or challenges you may be facing over the months ahead. Patience combined with compassion. Forbearance and determination even in the face of uncertainty. Knowing when you need to say No and set appropriate boundaries when they have become eroded. Not only for your sake, but also for the sake of others, and for your work. Internalize the self-discipline and eye for detail that Saturn can bring, in order to inform your art, your skill, for the sake of self-improvement. There is a certain pride that can come, and a transcendent feeling of connection, as both Saturn and Neptune enter their retrograde phases. And when you combine inspiration with doing, skillful practice and determined focus with imagination, there’s no telling what you can create.

Capricorn

(4th House) On Friday, July 4th, Neptune stations for its retrograde phase which lasts until December. And just 9 days later, your ruling planet Saturn does the same, stationing for its retrograde phase which lasts until the end of November. While in Aries they are both focusing in on the very foundations of your life: your home, your family, those people who are in your care, and whom you care about. Even the homeland itself. Ultimately, Saturn in Aries is trying to shore up these important personal structures, in order to give greater safety, security and stability. However, at the stations it may feel as if these are being weakened in some way. Someone moves away, you are on your own, you are having to take on the role of the caregiver, provider and the one who holds everything together. It can feel daunting having to hold everyone in this way. But by looking for ways to make the foundations of your life stronger, more dependable, more reliable, from the bottom up, is what you are being called on to do. Even if you are having to do this all on your own. Even if the people who you would normally rely on are no longer available. Even in the face of uncertainty. And although we cannot return to the past, the retrograde phases can often be a time of reflection, where you find yourself revisiting events from the past in order to make sense of the present. Just know that this too is in service to shoring up the ramparts, and rebuilding the foundations. Sometimes we have to look back, in order to be able to look forward again.

Aquarius

(3rd house) With your modern ruling planet, Uranus, entering Gemini this week, it might be showing you innovative, and creative means of getting around any setbacks or limitations presented by the upcoming retrograde stations of both Saturn and Neptune. It is not unusual to feel like we need to go back to the drawing board, or take a few steps back with these two entering their retrograde phases for the next 5 months. But with Uranus in the wings tossing all sorts of new ideas your way, any delays may even prove to be fortuitous. Things may seem a little pessimistic at first, or not precisely what you had hoped for. But when given the chance to reassess, regroup and reconsider, you may just change your mind. If there are some difficult truths that you are needing to face, you might want to ask yourself whether or not you can do anything about them. And if you can, are you willing to make whatever sacrifices are required of you, in order for you to make whatever changes might be necessary. It may be that when you explore your options, that you decide to stick with what you have. Just make sure that you are not being influenced by any fears or anxiety; or allow these to mar your dreams. Reality centered is good. It allows you to make sounder and more mature decisions going forward. Pessimism is not good. It will only freeze you in your tracks, and prevent you from seeing the very solutions which will allow you to create a plan for the future.

Pisces

(2nd House) First Neptune and then Saturn will station over the next few weeks for their retrograde phases which last until the end of November and early December. Both will be returning to your sign this Fall in order to further process, assimilate, and make sense of the lessons learned, particularly over the past few years that both were in your sign. This can also bring a deeper appreciation for both the life lessons of Saturn, that taught you about self-reliance and responsibility, combined with the lessons of Neptune which inspired you to further lean into your ideals, dreams and hopes for the future. Lately you’ve been seriously considering how you could make those hopes and dreams more achievable and financially sustainable. Don’t be surprised with these stations, that certain agreements could be put on hold. People back out. They have second thoughts. Whether you experience any setbacks or not, Pisces will be thrown back on their priorities, forcing them to have to reconsider the original intention and goal. And also look for more reliable ways to build up personal equity and security. Neptune has dreams. But Saturn is not about the pie in the sky. It will let you know what is, or is not, achievable. Neptune is willing to make certain sacrifices for the dream. But Saturn will show you the facts and numbers. This may require you to go back to the drawing board. Just know that if you do your homework well, you should have a viable plan brewing by the end of the year when both planets station direct again. A plan that can still be meaningful, but also realistically achievable.
