For the retrograde station of Pluto at 3º Aquarius 49’, for your sign (or natal house if you know it):
Aries
(11th House) Now that Pluto is in Aquarius, it is beckoning you to share your unique gifts with the world, in whichever way or capacity feels right for you. This transit of Pluto in Aquarius will continue for many more years, so you may not fully grasp the transformative effect this will have on your life. Yet as Pluto makes its retrograde station this week you may already notice some sort of sea change, as you find yourself called to share your knowledge and experience with others. This is one of those transits that will not only allow you to have some sort of an influence in the world at large, but which will also bring greater inner meaning, by enriching your own, as well as the lives of others. And never will you be as aware of just how meaningful that can be, than during the retrograde phase of Pluto which lasts from May 4th thru October 13th. This is partially due to the collaboration between Pluto and Neptune, which has just recently entered your sign. Both are conspiring and collaborating to show you just how significant that can truly be to feel like a beacon of light for others. In some way we are all being inspired to go high, and transcend our current circumstances.. just enough to see (and feel) those larger connections we are capable of making.
Taurus
(10th House) On Sunday, May 4th, Pluto officially makes its retrograde station while sextile magical and mystical Neptune, as well as your ruling planet Venus. Venus conjunction Neptune in Aries, kind of feels like a spiritual awakening or perhaps an inner hoping and wistfulness… something that invests your dreams as well as your waking life with deeper meaning. Your inner world is getting that much deeper as a consequence. And as they both connect with Pluto, digging ever deeper within the paradigm of Aquarius, it is trying to show you, not so much what is being lost, so much as what is possible. Pluto will be transiting Aquarius for many more years to come. What Pluto aims to show you over the coming years, is not what you can’t do, but what you can. Ultimately this period will be about recognizing your inimitable power, as well as your place and position in the world. For now that Pluto is at the very top of your Solar or Natal chart, it will be trying to bring you in alignment with nothing less that your soul’s deepest purpose and destiny. And now that you are standing here at the beginning of the retrograde phase of Pluto, you might want to ask yourself: Am I truly passionate about what I am doing? How much do I really want this thing? And what is now calling me out on to the stage of life?
Gemini
(9th House) Your ruling planet, Mercury, is sidling up to the wounded warrior, Chiron, this week, reminding you of the importance of language, words and communication. Words can heal, but they can also wound. And in this way you are being asked to use your words constructively, compassionately and wisely. For there is no telling who will be listening, and the resulting impact that you can have on others. Pluto is also stationing for its retrograde phase this weekend, which also inclines us to want to consider our life’s purpose and destiny. And now that it is in Aquarius, it could inspire you to look at things from a much higher vantage point. Over the next 20 years, Pluto’s transit in Aquarius will have the remarkable capacity to reveal the truth of things in such a way that you will never see things quite the same again. During the retrograde phases this becomes a little more personal, as any self-limiting ideas, any awkward assumptions or beliefs will be challenged. In order to be more in alignment with the possibilities that Pluto is trying to unveil, be open and willing to look at things from another point of view. Or perhaps consider some ideas that you had previously ignored. Just be prepared to have your mind blown in the process.
Cancer
(8th House) On Sunday, May 4th, Pluto stations for its retrograde phase which will last until October 13th. And as it does so, it is further deepened through its aspects to Venus and Neptune at the very top of your chart. Venus/Neptune aim to inspire. They ask you to dream. To wonder. To visualize. And as Pluto now stations for its retrograde phase they are conspiring together to lead you to meet your destiny. Planets are always a bit strong and more evident when they station, and as Pluto does so, he dares you to enter his lair. It is there, deep beneath the surface of things, that you will become much more aware of the fact that you are standing at the threshold of a new era. One that is arising out of an older phase of your life. Whenever we are in a state of transition such as this, there will be a few growing pains. And there will be transformative events that make you realize that your life will never be quite the same again. And the brief awareness that can come with the station of Pluto can give you some insight into what that may all be. This can and will often include things like deciding what needs to stay, but also what needs to go. Pluto wants us to grow. And anything that is holding us back and preventing us from growing will need to be addressed at some point over its 20 year transit through Aquarius. Know that in the end, the result is greater wholeness and healing.
Leo
(7th House) On Sunday, May 4th, Pluto will station for its retrograde phase. Whenever planets station they dig in that much more deeply, becoming more apparent and evident in our lives. And during the retrograde phase which will last until October 13th, many of the transformational qualities of Pluto will be turned within. This is actually where he does his best work, reminding us that the most effective changes are those that occur on these deeper inner levels of our psyche, rather than those that are happening without. We can try to change the outer circumstances of our lives: those other people, our environment. But the really important changes begin on these inner planes. And it is during the retrograde phase of Pluto that much of that inner work is accomplished. The changes begin within, and because of these inner changes, your relationship to the outer world, as well as others, will be transformed as well. And for the foreseeable future that Pluto will be in Aquarius, even though the catalyst to change may appear to come about through the actions of others, the real changes begin with you. And when Pluto stations this weekend, it is letting us know that when we are willing to put the focus on ourselves, and those things that we actually do have control over, that is when we begin to thrive. And then, as a consequence, so do our relationships thrive as well.
Virgo
(6th House) Your ruling planet, Mercury, is sidling up to Chiron, the wounded healer this week. And as it does so, it aims to illuminate those wounds that you carry. These can be physical, or emotional, but they could also be existential, as you fruitlessly look for ways to curb and control even the very laws of nature. However, what the Mercury/Chiron collaboration in Aries can also bring, is a certain acceptance that although there may be some things over which we simply do not have any control, there are things that we are capable of changing that can even prove to be transformative in their effects. And this is all the more so as Pluto digs in for its retrograde phase this weekend. These annual retrograde phases of Pluto help to facilitate a deeper understanding of what the Pluto transit now is, and will be in the years ahead. For it is when Pluto is retrograde that things get real. And that very real stuff can wend its way through your everyday life and events, and even change up your daily routines. This is because it becomes more evident, that even if you find yourself deep into your daily grind, there is another job that you are being tasked with now, and that has to do with the job of maintaining your own, or even someone else’s health and well-being. Know that anything that is being revealed concerning these over the next 5 months, cannot, and will not be ignored, and are in service to these ends.
Libra
(5th House) On Sunday, May 4th, Pluto officially makes its retrograde station while sextile Neptune, as well as your ruling planet Venus. Both Venus and Neptune are collaborating with Pluto to draw certain people into your life, that could have seem to play some important role in your life. That role could be to remind you of what is good about the world, as well as the people in it. Keeping that in mind, look for the ways that the good, and the kind, and perhaps even acts of faith can also be an inspiration. These are reminders that goodness, and things like compassion are still possible. And that we can all carry the light, and thereby become instruments of change and inspiration. When Pluto stations, it digs deep, and compels us to look within. In this case may we look within for that which is standing in the way of becoming that light. During the retrograde phase which last until October, allow yourself to get deep about this. For Pluto is ultimately aiming to get you in touch with some of your soul’s deepest and most provocative yearnings. This could be a little unsettling at first. But this same deeply compelling longing, can be translated through your own being, as well as through some creatively inspired self-expression. In some way your passions, as well as your inspirations, are needing to be reawakened. Even if it might be a little disconcerting at first. Look for those helpers who can serve as an inspiration.
Scorpio
(4th House) On Sunday, May 4th, Pluto stations for its retrograde phase which lasts until October 13th. Pluto, your modern ruling planet, has this amazing ability to rake up the dirt, and turn over every rock in our lives, exposing everything that is hidden beneath. Most people would be inclined to run away from what they find there, or hide under the bed. Not Scorpio. By contrast you will find yourself unable to look away. Especially with Venus and Neptune in Aries also taunting you from the wings. So rather than looking away, Scorpio is all in, and ready to dive down into the very firmament and heart of things. And even if it is a little dark down there, Scorpio is no stranger to the dark. For the 20 years that Pluto will be in Aquarius, Scorpio will be learning a great deal about themselves, and wanting to know even more. This could find you lying recumbent on the therapist’s couch, or exploring your ancestral background in order to figure out who was responsible for what. As a result, all that stuff that you’ve been carrying around with you like an albatross around your neck, or like a burden to bear, just because it was handed down by the ancestors, it will go no further than here. It’s well-nigh time to re-write that narrative. So perhaps your homework for the next 5 months is one of discovery, exploring what lies hidden beneath all that dirt and all those rocks. And then I came to realize what all those narratives might be, that now need to be re-written.
Sagittarius
(Pluto stations in the 3rd House) With the sharp sword of discrimination, Scorpio cuts through the lies and the misinformation, the innuendo and the subterfuge. And while Pluto has been transiting Capricorn for the past 14 years this is what Scorpio was being asked to cultivate, hone and use, in order to dig up, investigate and discover the truth. With magnifying glass in hand, and donning your deerstalker hat, you are ready to get to the bottom of things. No stone is left unturned when Pluto is in your 3rd House. All the more so now that Pluto will also be retrograde. Know also that now that Pluto will be retrograde for the next 6 months, the most intriguing thing that will fascinate you going forward, is not so much about what is happening next door with the neighbors, or solving the next great mystery of all time, so much as what is going on inside your own head, and solving the mysteries found deeply embedded there. And once you start turning over the stones inside your head, all sorts of stuff will come crawling out and swimming to the surface. And you will never cease to astonish yourself with what you will find there. Be prepared to be amazed.
Capricorn
(2nd House) Now that Pluto is in Aquarius, it has been doubling down on prioritizing your needs and priorities. This may be due to necessity, as Pluto could also bring events that could change the financial picture of your life. But more importantly, as Pluto travels here, it will literally transform your relationship with things like wealth, self-worth and even self-esteem. Whether the catalyst for change comes through some sort of event, or you feel as if your priorities and values are being challenged, perhaps the most significant changes will not be so much about how much you make, or how much you own, so much as how well you value yourself and what you have to offer. That can also include things like strength of character, integrity, strong values, and creating things that have long-term sustainability and value. Therefore your homework for the next 5 months might involve exploring and further cultivating those qualities that you most value about yourself. Or perhaps those talents that you would most want to further cultivate and invest in. There is something incredibly transformative about Pluto’s transits. And not only can Pluto transform the ways that you value yourself and your own self-worth, but it can also help you to evolve and grow in ways that you might not have even imagined.
Aquarius
(1st House) On Sunday, May 4th, Pluto stations for its retrograde phase which lasts until October. And as it does so, you could find some old narratives boiling up to the surface. These can include old dialogues about who you are, and perhaps concerning your own self-worth that are holding you back and preventing you from fully appreciating and understanding yourself and what you have to offer. Pluto traveling through your sign asks you to release these old narratives. In the process it may even feel at times like your life is coming undone and needing to be re-written all over again. Therefore, if that is the case, why not be the author of your own next edition? Know that what might feel like destruction, could be the very catalyst for something even better to come into your life. Cynthia Occelli tells us that in order for a seed to reach its fullest potential, it needs to become undone. The shell cracks, and its insides fall out. What we see may not be what we were expecting. For along with all that stuff can be stuff that you had been trying to ignore in hopes that it would just go away. It won’t, and Pluto is here to tell you, not to ignore it, but to fix it. Because whatever you are being told to fix, is the stuff that is preventing you from writing the next magnum opus of your own life. And never will this be more critically addressed than during the retrograde phases of Pluto in your own sign.
Pisces
(12th House) There is something of an internal evolutionary growth process that will be occurring now that Pluto will be in the sign of Aquarius. It’s literally attempting to change you from the inside out. The work that it does on these inner hidden and subliminal planes will have the capacity to completely change your world. This can begin with an inner realization. A disclosure. Something that you learn about yourself, that can totally change your point of view. Perhaps it had been there all along, gnawing away at your psyche. And then all of a sudden like a light switch, you come to see and understand what that is. And you find yourself unable to look the other way. This is Pluto’s work on these unseen planes. Just know that even if you resist it, Pluto is not a planet to be ignored. And if it doesn’t show you one way, it will look for another way to unveil these hidden truths. When Pluto stations, as it will this weekend, you could already feel him trying to dig things up. As a result, all sorts of things can rise to the surface either from your subconscious, or from the past. Although this can feel disconcerting at first, it can also be incredibly illuminating. Know also that this is your greatest opportunity to finally arrive at a whole other level of healing and wholeness. Pluto demands acceptance, understanding and forgiveness. And that’s when the true transformation begins.
