For this week’s New Moon horoscopes, be sure to also read your Rising Sign and/or your natal house placement for the New Moon at 6º of Gemini (if you know it):
Aries
(3rd House) Just before the New Moon in Gemini this week, Saturn enters Aries beginning a whole new 29 year cycle. We will speak more to this over the weeks ahead. Just know that even if it is not at the exact degree of your Ascendant or Sun at this point, Saturn entering your sign is like a semaphore, letting you know that you are being freed up in order to pursue a new path that is still in only its earliest stages. This stage often begins by examining every facet of your life, in order to determine what is, or is not working, and what you can or are willing to do about it. The New Moon that follows on Monday (or Tuesday, depending on where you are in the world), can bring clarification about what that might be. The New Moon in Gemini is usually a time for activity, for conversation and social engagement. And that is certainly true with this moon as well. Ask questions. Hold discussions. Look for answers. And be open to what you receive. Let it inspire and beguile you. It is time for sowing seeds. But first you will need to know which seeds you wish to cultivate, nurture and grow. And in order to do so, you will need to reacquaint yourself, with yourself. Therefore a good intention for the New Moon this week might be I will know my truth, and I will speak it with conviction, as I clarify my life’s goals moving forward.
Taurus
(2nd House) As Saturn enters Aries for the first time this weekend, Taurus is tasked with releasing those things that you realize you have long since outgrown. And you are doing so in order to make room for better things to come in. It may feel like much of your life is ending. Or is about to. But what you don’t want to lose in the process are your ideals. All that you have learned throughout the years is coming to some sort of culmination, and being put to the test, as you become aware how much your life has already changed, and how much more there is still to come. The New Moon in Gemini is when Taurus normally sorts through all of their priorities. And this is probably more true than ever. Ask yourself, what needs to go? But then also ask: What absolutely needs to stay? We are all standing at this precipice of change, and it is important as a result to hold to the essence of things: those things that truly matter and make your life rewarding and meaningful. Knowing this, and holding on to your must haves, will lead you across the abyss, and over to the life that is waiting for you. Let this be your lodestar. Therefore, a good intention for the New Moon in Gemini this week might be: I wish to realize and see myself prioritizing those people, those things, that are most meaningful to me.
Gemini
(1st House) The New Moon in Gemini is your annual Moon of New Beginnings. Falling on May 26th, it will be strongest for those of you born on or around this date, or have 3-9º of Gemini Rising. This New Moon is when Gemini is tasked with reacquainting yourself with yourself. It is time to remind yourself of those things and activities that help to support your most authentic self, in order to make a more accurate statement about who you are and how you wish to be seen by others. You may find in the process that you may need to make a few updates. For over the months our perspectives can change, and even our roles can change requiring something of an upgrade. And never is this more true than when all the major planets are in the process of changing signs, bringing us along for the ride. As a result everyone is trying to find themselves, and figuring out exactly how you may fit in to this New World. Just before the New Moon Saturn entered Aries, prompting you to ask yourself: What Now? And where do I see myself going from here? In order to do this well, you #1 need to know yourself, and #2 update your dreams and aspirations for the future as needed. Therefore a good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be: Today is the first day of the rest of my life, may this first step bring me closer to fulfilling my most heartfelt dreams and goals.
Cancer
(12th House) Saturn enters Aries this weekend, and as Saturn comes to the highest point in your chart, there is this feeling that a great deal is going to be expected of you over the next few years. Just remember that you have worked really hard to get to this place. But as you reach this critical pinnacle of your life, you may be presented with having to make some critical choices. For as Saturn enters Aries it will conjunct Neptune, who are both asking you: how much do you really want this thing? And what are those things that are really worth making sacrifices for? The New Moon in Gemini will make that even clearer as you realize in order to make any new beginnings, you are first going to have to tie up a few loose ends. The New Moon in Gemini is the last New Moon before we enter Cancer season. And so this is always a time to clear out the dust and the cobwebs of the year that was, in preparation for the year that is about to unfold. But there is something even more imminent about this Moon. Something larger to work towards. Perhaps something more meaningful. In order to do this well, stop to listen to your own inner intuition, your conscience and your guides. And then, if you wish, make the intention with the New Moon: May I release what may be necessary, in order to make room for something ever better to come.
Leo
(11th House) The New Moon in Gemini is Leo’s wishing moon. And in a way it is trying to restore some hope and faith in the future, no matter what the general outlook may look like now. There is something hopeful and transformative about this Moon, that dares to show us possibilities for renewal. And like a caterpillar getting ready to emerge from its cocoon, we are all standing here with bated breath waiting for you to make your entrance, more splendid and even more powerful than previously anticipated. It’s just a matter of trusting the process. But also know that Saturn just entered Aries, and in order to make the most of the next few years, you will have to admit that you don’t know everything, that that there is still so much more to learn. And the more open you are to learning, listening, and seeing things from other’s points of view, the more successful you are likely to be. In the mean time, use the New Moon to readjust your goals and aspirations for the future, and having done so, seed the intention that: If this dream is meant to be for me, may the best possible circumstances arise to see it fulfilled.
Virgo
(10th House) Just before the New Moon this week, Saturn enters the sign of Aries. During the years that Saturn will be in Aries, you are bound to see some big changes in your life. Saturn in Aries can mark the end of a part of your life, or perhaps a way of life that you have since outgrown. People depart, things may come to some sort of completion. But also within this context you will be redefining your value within the context of the community in which you live. In the meantime, the New Moon in Gemini is allowing you to get some sort of long term perspective. This is the New Moon each year in which you are asked to explore your goals, and make sure that they are right on course. And if not, what you might want to do to make any adjustments to get your life and your goals back on track. In this way, you can use the Saturn in Aries energy to look at your circumstances in an objective and realistic manner, by making an assessment of what is practically realizable, achievable and sustainable. This is about you taking the reins of your life into your own hands. So instead of having change happen to you, you are prepared to be the co-collaborator of your future. Therefore a good intention to make with this New Moon might be: I aim to see myself becoming the change I wish to see in the world.
Libra
(9th House) Before the New Moon on Monday (or Tuesday, depending on where you are in the world) Saturn will enter the sign of Aries. For the few years that Saturn is in this sign, you could feel as if a lot of expectations are being placed on you, expecting you to perform at a higher standard. Whether that be in your work, your relationships, or just for your general knowledge and expertise, you are being held accountable. It is also a time in which you are able to show the world what you are capable of doing. Take what you have learned and put it into application. And in order to do that, you will want to be ready to be available, to answer questions, to be present for others. And the New Moon in Gemini can help you to prepare for that. Think of this month as an opportunity to broaden your horizons, double down on your knowledge, and gain some sort of higher perspective. Ask your own questions, and find the answers you need. In which case a good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be: May I be led to increase my understanding by asking questions, and listening with an open mind and heart.
Scorpio
(8th House) The New Moon in Gemini is often a time for inner insight and understanding for Scorpio. This is when you feel more inclined to turn over every rock, investigate every nook and cranny. You want to suss out the fact and unearth every clue. And there’s nothing quite like a mystery needing to be solved in order to get you motivated to start a new investigation. In the process all sorts of things may come to the surface. But this can actually be really useful. For just before this week’s New Moon Saturn only just entered the sign of Aries, and for Scorpio, that could mean taking on some long-term and serious commitments. These may be for the purpose of some sort of self-improvement. It could be an opportunity to hone your skills, and learn new ones that could be valuable in the future. Just know this may have to include trying new things, or even going in a new direction. Therefore a good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be: May I courageously release any fears about change, in order to welcome in new and better things to take root. .
Sagittarius
(7th House) When the New Moon is in Gemini, it places the emphasis on partners for Sagittarius, and the important other people in your life. Things you might find yourself preoccupied with are creating more equanimity in partnerships and close relationships; getting advice from a specialist; being open to starting a new relationship or commitment; renewing vows or making promises to others. This is a good time to facilitate: being a mentor for others; helping others to realize their skills; going on an interview; opening up communications with others. This is a growing and evolving Moon implying that there may be more involved here than at first realized. Just prior to the New Moon, Saturn enters the sign of Aries, increasing your sense of responsibility for loved ones in your care. When you extend that to others, it brings a sense of duty, as well as pride, in what you can accomplish in the company of others. A good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be: May be open to communicating and sharing with others with an open heart and mind.
Capricorn
(6th House) This weekend your ruling planet Saturn enters the sign of Aries, bringing you along for the ride. For one thing, the sign of Aries implies some sort of new beginning, or going in a new direction. It could feel over the next few years, now that Saturn will be in Aries, as if you are coming out of a slump, ready to meet the world on its own terms. Things like home and family, and/or establishing yourself will all become more important, as you set goals, and think in terms of reaching further horizons. In the meantime the New Moon in Gemini is a time for Capricorn to reconsider their skill base, both for work as well as your everyday life. That can include looking for ways to improve your health and well-being, as well as to improve your work and work environment. This can include getting the best advice or support, but can also be about becoming more informed. Read articles, Ask questions. Get advice. Hire a trainer. Learn practical skills, and get to know your co-workers. A good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be I want to see myself embracing a new routine, new goals, and/or a new and better life and lifestyle.
Aquarius
(5th House) This weekend, your ruling planet Saturn, enters the sign of Aries, taking you along for the ride. This may find you becoming much more practical and reality based over the next few years, which can balance out some of the Neptune energy that has been gathering bits of inspiration here and there. But Saturn wants us to grow. Saturn wants us to see things as they actually are so that we can make more adult and grown up decisions. The issue with Saturn in Aries could be an inclination to take things too seriously. And this is where the New Moon in Gemini can intervene. There may be some important decisions to be made over the next few years, but keeping your perspective about these things can make all the difference. The New Moon in Gemini is inviting you to look at things clearly and objectively, by making yourself informed, and connecting with others who share the same interests. Together you can ask questions and maybe even get the answers you are seeking. A good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be: May I find joy in fulfilling my curiosity and satisfying my need to know.
Pisces
(4th House) For Pisces, the New Moon in Gemini is your annual moon to make any improvements in and around the home and/or family. This is the area that has to do with the foundations of our lives. And like channeling the wisdom of the ancestors, while consulting the lore and customs of the family circle, you see the value of connection, of community and gathering. Make a commitment with the New Moon on the 26th to spend more time with family, to focus on home and your supportive communities. New Moons are about new beginnings, so looking for a new home, fixing up the one you have, or coming to terms with those things that bring that sense of belonging. Many a Pisces have made a new start over the past 2 years, and this is when you are searching for a way to make that new start more sustainable. Something that you can count on. Something that will allow you to provide for yourself and others. Trust in the ancestors and your inner wisdom to guide you. A good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be I want to better appreciate the patterns and events in my life that have led me to where I am now.
