Communication is going to be key next week, as Mercury gets caught in the Cardinal cross-fire between Mars in Aries and the Capricorn planets.

In a few hours today, the Moon will cross the gates of Scorpio, ushering in two days and a half of intense emotional self-surgery.

Tomorrow, Sunday September 20, Mercury in Libra will square Retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, and the weight of everything that has to be said will likely collide with our desire to be fair and diplomatic in our conversations. Keep in mind that nice is not always synonymous with kind, and that, sometimes, uncomfortable truths can be delivered with compassion.

On Monday, September 21, the Moon enters Sagittarius, lightening up the mood and shifting our focus towards that which feeds and frees our spirit.

And then, on Tuesday, September 22, the Sun entering Libra brings us the Autumn Equinox, marking the beginning of Fall in the Northern Emisphere.

On Wednesday, September 23, Mercury in Libra squares Saturn in Capricorn, with Luna herself entering the sign of the Goat on the same day. Communication might feel hampered, restrained, or words could be used to set boundaries, renew commitment and solidify our positions. Use them wisely.

On Thursday, September 24, Mercury in Libra opposes Mars in Aries, signalling the possibility for verbal conflict and heated arguments. Raise your voice if you must — if it’s necessary, and it often is, if your dignity and worth are being questioned, if your rights are being threatened. There are scenarios in which anger is legitimate and valid. Just make sure it doesn’t cloud your mind and undermine your power.

The card I picked for the upcoming week is the 4 of Pentacles, reversed.

I hardly ever use expressions like “non-attachment” for reasons, but this is definitely the vibe I get from this card. If you feel you’re clinging onto something that is no longer nourishing you, whether it’s an opinion, a habit, a possession, loosen the bonds and let go. You have seeds to plant. Places to go and to see. Literally or metaphorically. Release what is holding you back.
