When I was a child and I looked in the mirror a certain way I would see the faces of old people transposing my own. Even though I was young my inquiring mind immediately understood its significance, but it was still spooky! It still happens today, not when I'm just looking at myself though. It's when I have an intention to look deeper. I look into my eyes, soften my focus and then I can see. 

In addition, whenever I asked my guides for more clarity in my life, I would see past life images like pieces from a movie and I could do this at will for other people too. At one point it appeared that I had lived so many lives that I could hardly keep track of them. Some were here on earth while others were in unrecognizable places possibly in other planetary systems.
 
I was aware that I knew more about the details of each past life image than I was seeing. I also felt that some images were connected with another aspect of me, and not the one currently living in this present lifetime.  I discovered that certain periods in history that held a particular fascination for me usually coincided with a powerful past life. 
 
I know that I have lived on this planet before, but I feel it is more complex than simply saying we come back again and again because we have unfinished business or did something we need to resolve karma around. Karma for those of you who are in the dark is the law of cause and effect - an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. In other words it can be good or bad karma. If I do something good or bad to you then I owe you or you owe me. That's the simple explanation, but this all largely depends on the energy involved from both of our consciousnesses.

Thoughts on Reincarnation  

Anyway, these are some of my thoughts on reincarnation; they are ever changing as my consciousness and understanding grows:

I feel we are each part of a soul group; I believe there are 999 souls in each group. When one incarnates from the group, the souls left behind experience and gain understanding through that one soul. This explains why I do not completely connect with every life that I know I have lived. In those cases, my sense is that another soul from my group has lived that life and that I have somehow vicariously experienced it through them. 

I feel that we consciously choose a life that will offer us the greatest opportunity for growth. These growth opportunities are sometimes debts we need to pay or experiences we have never known. Life tends to be lived through reactions to events, but if we have never experienced something then we don’t know how we will react to it. As spirit we set these events up, but we don’t think how devastating this can be for us from a human perspective.  Instead we only see a wonderful growth opportunity, but we don't do this alone.

We have known many souls in previous lifetimes and have agreed to again meet in order to assist each other in our growth. Some of these souls play challenging roles for us, while others support us with loving-kindness. Neither is better than the other; we need to bless all of our relationships. 

There are soul mates, people with whom we are deeply connected and with whom we have shared previous lifetimes that come from these soul groups. Some of these soul mates are not meant to be a part of our lives because they have other journeys to take, but the fact that they appear reveals that we are on the right track and going in the right direction. I have also come to realize that these soul mates mirror us and reveal to us some of our deepest pain and challenges.  

 We are the lucky ones. We have made a great plan for ourselves and we have been blessed with this opportunity to travel on planet Earth and learn more about ourselves and each other. Bless each day and realize that we truly are ONE spirit. We are like the water in an ocean, we gather together as powerful waves breaking on the shore, and then return to that great sea to once again become part of the whole.
