2020 Libra Super New Moon

I have a story. A Mercury standing still stationary retrograde story. Remember Mercury rules communication. Oct 13 (the day Mercury was turning retrograde) I called our Vet Clinic to order more special cat food. The first three calls there was a busy signal, the fourth it just kept ringing. I was starting to feel a little frustrated and began to “think” maybe they have shut down due to Covid 19. What I am going to do if I cannot get the cats their food? Then I heard a voice in my head saying “ask the Universe to help”. So I did. The fifth call went through just fine. The food is on its way and I was reminded to always remember the Universe supports me when I ask for help. Keep that in mind for this Moon Cycle.

New Moons are about setting intentions for what we want to create for the cycle ahead until the next New Moon. This Libra New Moon is active on the Tarot Constellation of The High Priestess, balanced judgment though Intuitive Awareness. The message is listen to your Inner Knowing when it comes to making decisions and choices. There is a strong focus on relationship for this Moon cycle, not only relationships with others but also the relationship to self. Libra is the 11^th Tarot Card of Justice, balanced judgment. 11 is the symbol for inner spiritual unity. Balance is the theme.

Our human world is out of balance and has been for a very long time. This Moon cycle will emphasize that big time. We have a Cardinal T Square (feeling boxed into a corner). The Sun and Moon at 23 degrees Libra are in a Fourth Quarter Square (revision and realignment) with Jupiter at 19 degrees Capricorn (limitation or expansion of higher consciousness) Pluto at 22 degrees Capricorn (releasing the old that no longer serves) and Saturn at 25 degrees Capricorn (building a new foundation). The Capricorn cluster is now moving direct but is in a First Quarter Square (making a decision, taking action, and breaking free) with Mars Rx at 20 degrees Aries, the Earth at 23 degrees Aries and Eris Rx at 24 degrees Aries (purposeful action that will change the world from polarity to unity). The Aries planets are opposing the Libra New Moon. Oppositions ask us to find balance. The doorway out of the T Square is the Fixed Star Pollux at 23 degrees Cancer in the Constellation of Gemini (healing the shadow and telling a new story). As I have said many times before The Universe always gives us a way through any challenge.

The traditional planetary guide for Libra is Venus (love and beauty). She is at 16 degrees Virgo (mind, body, spirit healing into wholeness). She is trine (removal of obstacles) Pallus Athene at 16 degrees Capricorn (listening to your Soul’s Wisdom) Jupiter at 19 degrees Capricorn (Soul Consciousness) and Pluto at 22 degrees Capricorn (transformation of society). Here is where Mercury Retrograde (our thoughts and perceptions) comes in. He is the guide for the Venus journey in Virgo. He is Rx at 11 degrees Scorpio (deep inner healing) travelling with the Asteroid Juno at 08 degrees Scorpio (committed relationships). On Sunday Oct 18 the Libra Sun will be exactly Square (finding new ways of doing things) Saturn in Capricorn (personal responsibility) and Venus in Virgo will be in opposition to Neptune Rx at 18 degrees Pisces (what is true, what is not true, illusion or illumination). On Monday Oct 19 Mercury will join Juno and they will be in opposition to Uranus Rx at 09 degrees Taurus (break down or breakthrough to what is of true value in our relationships). Uranus is the Soul Centered guide for this Libra New Moon cycle. It should be a very dynamic two days. Also on the 19^th Mars Rx in Aries is squared by Jupiter in Capricorn (revisioning your spiritual purpose and path). This is no ordinary Libra New Moon cycle. Mercury is retrograde (inner transformation) for most of this cycle. He moves direct on Nov 03 but does not clear his retrograde shadow until Nov 19. The Scorpio Super New Moon is Nov 14/15 and so the journey of inner healing and transformation continues.

Our Animal Totem guides for this Libra Moon cycle are Crow, sacred law and justice and fairness for all, and Raven, magic and The Mysteries. For the Aries planets our guides are Falcon, clear inspired vision, and Red Tailed Hawk, spiritual messenger and messages. They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere. For the Capricorn cluster we are guided by Snow Goose, following our dreams and vision. (In the Southern Hemisphere you are guided by Flicker Woodpecker, transition which is guided by All Healing Love). Mercury in Scorpio is guided by Snake, healing and shedding the old, and Uranus in Taurus is guided by Beaver, clearing the old and building the new. Again they are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere. For all of us Mercury Rx in Scorpio is guided by The Phoenix, resurrection and rebirth. That is the Sacred Totem for Scorpio. Venus in Virgo is guided by Brown Bear, introspection, healing and The Healer, and Neptune in Pisces is guided by Cougar, spiritual power, and Wolf, the teacher who guides us through change. Again they are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere.
